Tim Patrick please (On his way to Detroit)
Coach Tuesday replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ah - thanks for the clarification. That’s much more tradeable than $9M. -

I would be shocked if anyone is trading for that contract. Denver will have to take on some of his salary if they’re hoping to get a pick in return. -
Cuts, Waiver Claims & 90 man roster depth: A study
Coach Tuesday replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only way Gore gets claimed is if his dad convinces one of his buddies on another team's coaching staff to give him a roster spot. Highly unlikely but that would be the way. -

And then they’d have to pay him… -

Trading Elam for a WR seems like the obvious solution to me… -
No - I think a thread about how folks are feeling about the upcoming season now that we're almost done with the offseason is a perfect topic - there are posters all along the spectrum of concern/excitement and it's an engaging conversation. His response did not add to the discourse and is super lame.

See this is where I wonder whether franchises like the Bills are making a mistake by alienating long-time loyal customers in order to get the maximum price (or prop up prices in other franchise locales) for the initial PSL sale. Would they not be better off long-term by focusing on brand loyalty? I’m biased because I read the Times article on Costco’s business model this morning and the gist is, longtime loyal customers don’t mind being slightly ripped off to the tune of a 17% annual increase in shareholder value going back to inception. But if they feel gouged they may leave. The Bills are putting themselves in a situation where they will have enormous pressure to win and stay a priority in a very tough market, every single year, in order to justify their ticket prices. It’s probably inevitable but I don’t know if it’s healthy and sustainable long-term. EDIT: also THIS is why Josh Allen deserves every dollar of his contract and more. I do not think the Bills would be in a position to do that stadium deal and charge these prices in this geographic market and in this inflationary economy if they had been mired in QB hell for the past five years.

Receivers the Bills could go after?

Coleman had a great combine, this is incorrect. -

They left themselves absolutely zero room for error. I hoped they’d at least make it relatively deep into the season before the depth was tested but … so Billsy. -

Nobody predicted these issues at WR this year… -
There you go believing all of the women again.

You can set your watch to the outraged morons showing up for this thread.

This is correct. He may have secured at least a backup/special teams role for himself but if he’s actually going to see the field as a LB he will need to learn his drops ASAP - not an easy feat in this defense. It took Bernard a season and two offseasons before he was comfortable in the passing game.

That is why Babich’s name is ascending.

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season game 2
Coach Tuesday replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Last night he was just locking onto his practice mate Q Morris regardless of what the defense was doing and regardless of whether Q was open. He was predetermining his throw before the play happened - like Nathan Peterman used to do. That tells me he no longer trusts his own ability to process the action in real time which means he is toast. They also need to take the “L” there and need to make a move there ASAP. -
Is that right, he was actually calling in the plays?

Expect they’ll give Dion Jones the same opportunity next game and then see what’s what.

Bad look for Fields tonight. He should be dominating out there against scrubs. -

Fields needs to be dominating against our third stringers.
