  1. Cam Williams would be tremendous value here and would make for good Competition with Van Demark and Grable. I would die if it were another CB because of value. Lose two, gain SIX 😄
  2. He went a long time ago. Pick 110 in Round 4 to the Jets.
  3. At this point, anyone we Draft is basically a glorified UDFA. So it could be literally any position. The one position I could see them Drafting here that I could see a pretty clear route to make the roster on is Punter - as this is around the area good Punters are Drafted. I think the ship has sailed on WR. They may take one. But i'd doubt they'd be relying on them to fill one of the holes left by Cooper and Hollins. I think this is a situation where the board didn't fall right for the position when we wanted to take one and they'll be revisiting the position in FA or Trade.
  4. We're talking about someone who would be like 4th or 5th in a pecking order with Shakir, Palmer, Coleman, and Samuel. I don't think his drops would preclude them from bringing him back in such a diminished role.
  5. Which is why no team is going to touch him.
  6. It's more than just a loss of a pick. Whomever Drafts him will have to answer to why they're supporting someone criminally charged with SA. They'll have to explain why they think law enforcement is wrong during an ongoing criminal case. On top of all of that, with him being charged with such a heinous crime - odds are the league will put him on the exempt list until the legal process plays out. Including a trial that could take years. He will not be Drafted and he shouldn't be Drafted. After reading the affadavit, it's pretty disgusting to hear any Bills fan say "I don't care, he's far too talented for where he is on the board".
  7. And this is worse than Araiza. Araiza was cut and then went over a year without a team sniffing him on the mere possibility that he could still be charged criminally. That's already happened for Bond.
  8. Perhaps. But it's still two going out, FIVE coming in. Which means THREE from the field of White, Jackson, Hancock, Strong, Ingram, and Lewis are expected to not be on the 53.
  9. Wow. So we lost Douglas and Elam. We signed White and Jackson. Now we've Drafted Hairston, Hancock, and Strong. There's going to be a lot of cuts at CB.
  10. I feel as though if Shenault is making the roster, it's bc they're keeping him as a Special Teams Returner. When we do that, we tend to keep them as an extra player to the normal number. We carried 6 WR's and 5 CB's before Codrington took the role. Then it switched when a "CB" became our Returner.
  11. WR is pretty much picked through. The last guy I was intrigued by was Tory Horton. He went a couple picks before us. At this point, I'd expect they'll go to FA for that 5th roster spot and have a competition between them and Tyrell Shavers. But I could be wrong. If they take a RB, it won't be until 206 or 240 bc their ceiling is the Practice Squad. We only carry 3 and none of Cook, Davis, or Johnson are going anywhere. But we did have an open roster spot at TE with Morris leaving and he'll fill that.
  12. If it gets to a point where it's late in Round 5, he's still on the board, and we still have 4 picks between 169 and 177 - I'd pull the trigger. I don't think he'll last that long and I don't know that Beane would do it. But I would. Sanders could easily end up being a better Backup option than Trubisky or White and if he showed something in Training Camp or in garbage duty, he could become a trade piece after a year for more than we paid. And if he causes problems or doesn't work out for whatever reason? Just cut him. At that point in the Draft, it's not the end of the world if a player taken at 176 or later doesn't make it. Low risk gamble.
  13. While I don't expect it, I could see a scenario where Beane uses all 7 picks. The way I see it, they have open roster spots at WR (lost Cooper and Hollins, signed Palmer), TE (lost Morris), DT (lost Johnson, Jefferson, and Phillips, signed Ogunjobi (suspended) and Drafted Sanders), and Punter (lost Martin, signed a couple cast aways that neither are a given). So that's 4 (possibly 5 if they want to Draft someone late to hold Ogunjobi's spot). Then there's positions like LB, where they could want to upgrade depth or at least have competition on Buffalo Joe or Olofoshio. Safety if they want to upgrade depth or have competition for Hamlin or Forrest. A late 6th or 7th flyer on a RB that they might want to try and stash wouldn't surprise me either. And they always tend to throw in a Late Round flyer on an Offensive Lineman as well. Again, I don't expect him to stand pat at every pick. But it's less crazy than you'd think that he'd use all 7 picks on Day 3. Especially when the last couple picks are in the glorified UDFA, unlikely to make an NFL roster area anyways.
  14. I think I got it... Like Boogie Basham, TJ Sanders... also plays somewhere on the Defensive Line.
  15. Yeah, that's where I'm at. I was pretty anti-Landon Jackson bc I assumed that meant we were taking him at 30 or moving up in the 2nd to grab him. Taking him in the 3rd after moving down from 62 and after taking a CB and a DT? I'm def on board with that.
  16. They won't be Drafting a RB that high. They may take a guy in the 6th or 7th that will end up cut with a Practice Squad ceiling if he looks good. But we don't carry more than 3 Tailbacks. And none of James Cook, Ray Davis, or Ty Johnson are going anywhere. Cook's replacement will come in next year's Draft, if he isn't re-signed.
  17. Read the affadavit. It's public knowledge "what's going on here". In a world where most investigations stemming from an allegation generally go nowhere because SA is difficult to build a case around without substantial evidence - he was officially charged with the felony after a quick investigation bc of the mountain of stuff they had. This isn't an allegation. This is someone criminally charged with SA. With damning text messages (some done while the police watched), him trying to negotiate an NDA payoff, and a rape kit that had the Hospital calling the police and meeting her there. He will not be Drafted by the Buffalo Bills and likely won't be Drafted at all.
  18. You had Deion saying to the press months before the Draft that there were teams "I won't let my son play for". Then he goes to the Combine, where an anonymous NFL Head Coach said "it was the worst combine interview i've ever been in, in my life". Combine that with him being a pocket passer in a league where that's antiquated and one with a pretty unimpressive arm on top of it - and i'm honestly not surprised he's fallen this far.
  19. I started the thread and wondered how long it would take until I saw the word "motor". 8 posts.
  20. There goes Will Johnson. If the rumors of a degenerative knee were real, that seems high. If it isn't, that's really low.
  21. 56, 62, and 109 = 212 pts. 41, 72, and 240 = 210 pts. So a fairly even trade. It's ever so slightly titlted to the Bears. https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart-Rich-Hill.asp
  22. We must have given up multiple Day 3's as 56 and 109 shouldn't get us that high.
  23. We're on the clock! Donovan?!
  24. The highest 56 and 109 (our next highest pick that isn't 62) is going to get us is 46. So I wouldn't expect a move up before then, if at all.
