  1. I simply don't understand why you want this so badly. Even if we were to entertain the idea that this is more of a possibility than it actually is - did you not see what Keenan Allen, Diontae Johnson, and Jerry Jeudy got in return on MUCH lesser contracts? This idea that we'd get even CLOSE to the value you think we'd get is even more unrealistic than a trade happening. No one is taking on that kind of contract for a 30 year old WR and giving us more than a Day 3 pick.
  2. Not yet, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was more than we expect. Joe Marino hypothesized that they may have plans to start him at Nose Tackle.
  3. In the context of reading Moulds, I thought you meant Josh Reed 😂 In a day and a half, we hand Diggs 18.5m in cash. Capped or not, there's no way we're paying him 18.5m for him not to be here. I'd doubt this. If someone like Lombardi was "adamant" that he's on the market, there'd be reports everywhere. Doing a search on this, that 1 random guy is literally the only one who says that happened.
  4. Sherfield, no way. But I am interested to see if any of the Tim Settle, Tyrel Dodson, or Poona Ford deals qualify. Baffled that someone felt Settle was worth 2 years, 7m based on his time here.
  5. Me too. What if Josh Allen tears his knee in Week 1? Now you've given up your only reward for a lost season to get MHJ instead of another highly rated WR in a deep and talented class - who like other WR's taken lower than the highest rated prospect, could end up being the better NFL WR. The thing that gets me is "I'm ready for watever" could mean LITERALLY anything. Diggs posts WAY more on Social Media about things in his day to day life than he does Football. He also posted a heart emoji before that. Even if it is Football, who's to say he's not saying he's feeling good about our chances now that he's got Samuel next to him and is ready for that? I just love how he tweets something that is essentially nothing and then a bunch of people are like "I'm so sick of him, he needs to stfu" 😂
  6. He's not. He's got one year left on his contract in Minnesota, with a cap hit of 8.83m I like Harrison. But unless he's released, it doesn't make much sense to me to give up a Draft Pick and pay that much for him. I mean, that's months from now. Maybe they wait and see what's around then. But there's no real point in setting up deals now or even a few weeks before. No player is going to pass on solid offers for something they can't put pen to paper to. At most it would be a "if you're still available when we have the money, we'll give you a call".
  7. Never. The top rated prospect at a given position often doesn't become the best NFL player. Imagine if the Vikings gave up a King's Bounty to trade up and take the 1st WR instead of sitting pat and Drafting the 5th WR taken in Justin Jefferson. This class is so deep and talented, it's not worth giving up that much for a higher rated prospect. We did that once before and gave up a 1st+ to Draft Sammy Watkins when we could have kept that and Drafted Odell Beckham Jr. And not only do you not know what the future holds for Draft prospects, you don't know where we'll be picking next year. God forbid, Josh could tear his ACL in Week 1. Then we end up with a Top 5 pick that we don't even have.
  8. And people fall for it literally every time. Wanna know a big part of the reason why? Because every fanbase in the league wishes they had Stefon Diggs.
  9. ..... or you just want it to.
  10. You do understand that Diggs tweets more about non-football life than he does football life, right? And "ready for watever" could mean a million different things having nothing to do with Football. Even people who are generally annoyed by Diggs think it's nothing.
  11. There's no need to rush right now. There's still a lot of veterans out there that could fill the RB2 role. Ezekiel Elliott, Kareem Hunt, Alexander Mattison, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, D'Onta Foreman, Cam Akers - one of these guys will be left without a chair when the music stops and will have to accept what they can get. Just be patient and get the best guy and deal you can get. Braelon Allen and Audric Estime are two big bodied, powerful runners that we visited with at the Combine. I'm really high on Allen. If they can land one of them on Day 3, I'd pull the trigger.
  12. I thought for sure he was retiring. I think he should. Not only because he's not remotely the same guy anymore, but for his long term health. Then I saw this: I guess if he can still get money - he feels like he should. Far be it for me to judge.
  13. Plenty at the Wegmans at the Culver-Ridge in Irondequoit
  14. And this is why Pro Football Network's Simulator is a total waste of time
  15. I don't think that cuts it. I think he's going to command more than Samuel and he'll get offers with guarantees instead of incentives.
  16. Simmons is going to get paid. Last I heard the Titans were courting him. I'm sure he's got multiple suitors he's playing against each other.
  17. Nope. Samuel is a predominantly a Slot. Has been so his entire career. You can split him out Wide from time to time, but he's not a guy you can exclusively play there.
  18. I REALLY hope he falls into Round 4, but I don't think it's likely. He'd be the PERFECT compliment to Cook. You don't find that blend of size, physicality, elusiveness, and strength every day. Guy looks like a Greek God.
  19. The way I'm seeing it, we need: RB2 WR2 (Boundary) OG/C (1 Depth) OT (1 Depth) DE4 3T Behind Oliver 1T Behind Jones CB4 (Boundary) Safety (Starter) Considering where we were a week ago, we've made a LOT of progress.
  20. $19m for both? I doubt it. And with Diggs and Samuel in house, I doubt Brown would want to be a possible WR3 when he can be unequivocally WR1 in Kansas City. When it comes to FA decisions, it's as much about what their role and usage is going to be as it is the money.
  21. Solid move. But Hollywood's ability to stay healthy is always a concern and they're out MVS and Hardman, while still carrying Toney and bust Skyy Moore. Also lost Willie Gay and are probably going to lose L'Jarious Sneed. So I don't necessarily look at it being a situation of improvement, even with Hollywood coming in.
  22. Yeah, I had a feeling this was going to happen based on his last Twitch stream. He was streaming Mahomes highlights and saying that he was "going to text Creed (Humphrey) in the morning". I'd like to think this might take them out of the conversation for WR in Round 1. But with MVS and Hardman as FA's, Toney being, well, Toney, and Skyy Moore seeming either a late bloomer who hasn't bloomed or a bust - they still have a lot of work to do even with Hollywood.
  23. It would be either Sutton or a 1st Round Pick, not both. If you've got Stef Diggs, Courtland Sutton, and Curtis Samuel (not to mention Khalil Shakir and Dalton Kincaid) - you're not spending a 1st on a WR. One of those guys isn't getting many reps as WR4 (not to mention pushing Shakir to WR5). And you're not giving up that kind of assets, Draft pick and financially, for that role. We got Samuel. Now we get our Thomas/Mitchell/Legette type X and we're heavily upgraded from last year, while being able to utilize all 3 regularly.
  24. A Top 10 Pick in the 4th tho
