  1. Great steaks are a KC hallmark.
  2. Yes - my (hilly) immediate neighborhood has a combination of sunken driveways and houses with elevated front lawns, both with retaining walls. I cringe, watching these young husbands mowing and string trimming while their kids play outside. There was a death 2 years ago in the Cincy area - a lawn mower flung a piece of metal debris and hit a child in the temple. How sad... Heated handles...woooo!
  3. They are fun - man against nature, etc. I bought an electric 22" wide (something like that) Toro two years ago. Sufficient for the Cincy area and my property. It does a nice job, but like many single-stage devices, it can fling debris fast and hard. Never point 'em at people or vehicles.
  4. Aahh...perhaps FSU's The Wilford Brimley Center for Hawking Diabetes Supplies department?
  5. The 16 posts, or the gratuitous back pat? I'm conflicted....
  6. 16 posts, or the gratuitous back pat? I'm conflicted....
  7. Re Zimmer: He didn't walk into a disaster. Two 1st round CBs, a solid bunch of DEs and DTs, most of which were drafted, a 1st round top pick LB, now a LB that surprisingly slipped to the 2nd last draft, some vets acquired that have done quite well - Dhani Jones a few years ago, Chris Crocker, Roy Williams now on IR, Tank Williams. Rashard Jeanty is on the bench - Bills should have talked trade there... 3rd rounder, GT's DE Micheal Johnson, looks to be big noise. And 2nd year 3rd rounder last year, DT Pat Sims. Both of these players fell into their laps. Zim's a great guy. We all know about the untimely passing of his dear wife. HC? Dunno...
  8. Hollywood Donahue hasn't posted for a long while, either. Disappointing - he was a fair Pats* fan.
  9. That's right. We will be among the first rousted in the night and relocated to the re-education gulags. I think they will be located in backwoods Maine - transportation costs to Alaska are prohibitive.
  10. The ads... Sominex. Lunista. Ambien. Serta. Too late for the cheesberger/pizza hawkers. The usual beer folks. No ads by the boner pill vendors. If she tries to stay up for the game, she will collapse early on.
  11. Yep. You always want your players to make plays. I don't blame him for trying, nor do I blame the Bills' staff for not evidently demanding he take a knee if the ko went into the end zone. It's too bad about the outcome. Never tell a returner to play it safe. Ever. IMO.
  12. I thought it was a snotty question - what was he to answer? He replied that they are 8-4, and we'll see what happens in the next 4 games. I'm sure he is well on top of his club's December records - and need not be reminded by some young twink who somehow got a press pass. DAL hasn't performed well in the playoffs for several years - but they get there more than not. See BUF, and the team that plies their trade where I reside. Bitching at Phillips makes little sense, to me.
  13. Sure it is. And there are 31 bowl games this year, if I correctly counted them up in my morning newspaper...62 teams. PSU is in one, and watching PSU is like watching a re-run of Weekend at Bernie's- everybody knows the guy is dead, but everybody pretends. It's all about $$$, and has been so for several years. Colleges have turned down bids, because the payoff was bad. I think that Pitt, for example, faces just such...
  14. Yes. We exhale about 1 ton of CO2 per year,I have heard. That's half of the goal.
  15. Your 16th post - after being a member for 5 years - is a pat on your own back...
  16. Stuckincincy's Rule: Never talk to the press.
  17. How sad - a bone cancer is usually a very painful affliction. R.I.P., Al.
  18. A common occurrence...
  19. See his recent PR stunt - the "jobs" summit. US Chamber of Commerce, NFIB not invited. He advocated "replacement windows." Common sense: have a con-fab about how to increase business' profitability, since profitable businesses *hire* more folks. Obama sense: like you said... All things point to the establishment of a perpetual one-party government - cap 'n trade, the health care push, the rushing of legislation and on and on. Once they grab control of health care - it's over. It will be the biggest budget item. The general idea being the left will do to the entire population what they did to black Americans - ensure that government dependency is high, which guarantees votes. I chuckle when I hear a black talk about "diversity." The Dem's with a usual 90%+ vote, snap their fingers and blacks say "How high, Massa?". Economic slavery - LBJ's Great Society plan. The concept of reject, ridicule, and repeat. People who couldn't name a VP or one of their Senators to save their soul shout " F bush!!!. " Sheep who will give up their freedom to "belong". Madness. The removal of cash from the population - people having cash is an anathema to this crowd. The Constitution...a pesky thing soon to be repudiated. Limited government - archaic concept, get rid of it. Get used to the coming 90% of you pay going to to self-serving elites, who you will have to kneel down before and beg to for this or that. Somewhere, Lenin smiles... Government with the consent of the governed? Forget it. Give 'em an HDTV, and they moo like a herd of mindless cows.
  20. Well, probably not everybody. But I agree - why add more question marks to the roster? Criticisms about both are fair, but neither fall into any kind of "bum" category IMO.
  21. As it was said back-in-da-day, "Lookie, Lookie, Here comes Cookie!"
  22. UCinn's Kelly will interview with ND: http://news.cincinnati.com/article/2009120...++We+understand I wonder if the defection of their qb and top wr will factor in somehow.
  23. Well...that trumps my few observations of him. As to using that 7th on *another* db - the world is a mysterious place.
