  2. Well, I got it half right - it's Peter Frampton. However, I can reliably name all of the Beatles, at least two of the Rolling Stones, and evidently 2 members of the Who. That's probably it for me... BTW, today is the 30th anniversary of a tragedy in Cincinnati, when 11 people died during a crush to get into a Who concert. http://news.cincinnati.com/article/2009120...+tragedy+linger
  3. Have you run Disk Cleanup, then Disk Defragment recently? CHKDSK? EDIT: Have you tried running your detection programs in Safe Mode? The 640x480 vga resolution is a pain, but you can change that: ..."Here’s a trick to change the screen resolution and color quality display settings in Safe Mode of Windows. Go to Display Properties (Windows XP) or Display Settings (Windows Vista) by right clicking on empty blank space on the Desktop, then select Properties (Windows XP) or Personalize (Windows Vista). Then change the resolution by sliding the Low to High slider bar. Do not press “OK” or “Apply” at this time. Instead, click on Advanced Settings, and then click OK. Windows in Safe Mode will change the screen resolution according to new settings, and prompt a “Monitor Settings” dialog box prompting that desktop has been reconfigured, with countdown timer. Click on Yes to keep the new setting." - author unknown.
  4. Get some quality drill bits, and lube when you are drilling - slowly - thru the bracket and the floorpan. Don't attempt to drill through a prevoius weldment. Put in a new hole in proximity. Get some SAE Grade 8 bolts and nuts, and some appropriate washers. And some sort of undercoat to protect the bolt head on the undercarriaige. Don't use an off-the shelf HD or Lowes bolt.
  5. In yourrr case, It's nott verry haard to spelll "dick".
  6. I also (equally dimly) recall that.
  7. ...and have a valid passport.

  10. No surprise. The "I'm a minority, so you are picking on me" stuff has to be dealt with first. Why liberals, Democrats are so bent on hurting our Lord's children, I will never understand...
  11. Sometimes, the accused fight back...acquitted Teacher files suit against a DA: http://nky.cincinnati.com/article/AB/20091...eacher-sex-case
  12. What *message* boards? Do you have, as it is said...a link to them?
  13. Ask your hotel concierge.
  14. Townshend married a Cincinnati gal, and lives in the area. He's active in the charity circles, and notably lends his talents by narrating Christmas presentations for kids. Good man with a good heart...
  15. I've read good things about it. I used AVG for several years, and liked it, but their latest free version - 9 - caused problems for me. Its' scans were always slow - not much of a problem for me, since I have about 10Gb used out of a 140 Gb drive. IMO, it would be awful for folks with lots and lots of files.
  16. Thanks for the link. I'd add that CFL ball is very entertaining. Most of us know the rule differences, and IMO the players are good pros. I'm a long-time (long-suffering) Tiger Cat fan.
  17. I used Comodo for a long while - but with the successive program updates, it started giving my personal system some problems. I liked it a lot, though - very good firewall IMO.
  18. Indeed it is. If the "menu" concept ever arrives (I hope it doesn't - a lot of the programming I like would vaporize), ESPN would be first in my line to get the axe.
  19. On newer cars - dunno. If you still have that Caravan (was that you?) it should be easy to remove/replace. The mounting bolts/nuts might be corroded, though. I'd squirt some liquid wrench on 'em for a few days. After removal, clean the mount hardware up and when bolting down the new seat, use some blue Loctite 242: http://65.213.72.112/tds5/docs/242-EN.PDF
  20. Happy B'Day, Pittsburgh Gal!
  21. O Please.. I live in the Cincy area. If any - any of that crap was true, it would have been plastered all over the media here. If it was, he'd rival the KGB for keeping secrets... I'm reminded of what a poster said in a recent TSW thread about Lynch and Benson - that the CIN staff was angry at Benson because he wouldn't play with injury. Given that I didn't hear, see, or read anything at all about such - and that when I asked the poster where he got this info - no reply was posted - another case of internet B.S.
  22. I recently - for the 1st time - purchased an av/suite. I bought Avira based on recommendations from The Dean, and I am pleased with it. Many configuration options, including locking of the Host file. Also, Malawarebytes - had a glitch, though - Dean explained that to me via PM: ..."I'm guessing the reason you had trouble with the Malwarebytes download might be due to inadvertently clicking the wrong download link. There is usually a BIG download banner ad posted near the top of the download page, but it is usually for a questionable product and not Malwarebytes. I suspect this may be the case because it happened to me once, and regularly happens to people I know. Get it here, the link is at the top right of the page:" http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/ Note that it's not for 64-bit Vista. I don't know if it works with 64-bit xp. Prior to reading that, the local Micro Center store has a selection of popular downloads on CD - so I bought the disk for 3 bucks. I also use Windows Defender, password-protect the BIOS, and deny browsing history in Mozilla. I use a wired connection with a hardware firewall - as recommended by Fezmid.
  23. Well said...
