  1. Really? I watched him play some college games. I thought he played well. Oh well - fry a late choice if you like...
  2. Thursday: 3 sacks, 9/23, ineffective rb runs save a 2 run pop by a rb in the 2nd qtr. A qb taking off and running 5 times.
  3. Georgia Tech's rookie Micheal Johnson, picked in the 3rd last year, looks more and more like a pass-rushing Ted Hendricks.
  4. Of course not. A 7th round pick, 5'9". He sure was a good player for WVA. No reason to beat on the youngster - he might turn out to be a ST ace, or improbably, a big noise in the backfield. Ya never know...
  5. Objectively...no. But can he surprise, and be one? Yes. He certainly has the smarts and scans the field. An enigma... How's that, for hedging the bets? BUF isn't a candidate for drafting him IMO - other needs...
  6. "2 games better" seems a plus. Getting thrown in on a moment's notice, be it NFL football or any other business, is dicey. Let's see what happens in the next 4 games.
  7. Either club could win big, or it might be a last minute squeaker - I'm no bettor - but were I, I'd leave this one alone and look elsewhere. Little school vs. big school, little school that ended up playing worthy opponents, comeback wins, etc. Too many variables...
  8. 4-8, same as BUF, and beat CIN, PGH, PHI this season.
  9. I'm hoping that TCU wipes the snot out of their noses...
  10. "Watching" games on CBS' "Game Tracker", he piles up the tackles and assists. Assuming offenses aren't singling him out, it seems to me that he's a player with an ability to sniff out where the action will be. I'm reminded of ex-B'gal S Madieu Williams. I don't know how he's doing with MIN, but I'll assume with their record he's still around the ball on most plays.
  11. I'm not concerned about his stature, Biscuit. While he has fine pocket presence, the offense U Cinn ran (with a bevy of fine receivers) generally kept him free of hits. He was often blitzed, but drifted back and away from the pressure - that's certainly a plus. UC's OL isn't talked up, but they did the job. He's an interesting prospect - but like most all college qbs, had time afforded that doesn't often occur in the NFL. But he is a "gamer" - no doubt there; I've never seen him get rattled. Late 2nd round? Middle 3rd? His stock will rise or fall in their Sugar Bowl game against FLA. Speaking of, they've faced a steady diet all season long of teams running to keep the ball away from their quick strike offense. And faced several strong-running qbs. They should be well-prepared for Tebow's scoots. My guess is that FLA gets favored by 10.
  12. I heard somebody- not one the talking-head types - on tv or radio, commenting that Suh isn't suited for NT duty.
  13. I wonder what the betting line will be?
  14. I believe that this is a homework question.
  15. Don't forget the *
  16. Bad football weekend for Pittsburgh... Steelers once again commit a personal foul late. Unnecessary roughness at the 0:27 mark. CLE drives for a td against SD. Quinn 6 for 6.
  17. Td for OAK... 13-10 over PIT with 8:21 left. Hmm...
  18. Odd penalty in DET @CIN. DET punted from their 45, ball hit, bounced up, and a Lion downed it at the two. But because he was in the EZ and came out, it was an illegal touch. CIN had 3 choices...a 5 yd penalty putting the ball on the 7, a re-kick from the DET 40, or the ball spotted at the 20 which, CIN took.
  19. Raiders blitzing like crazy? Their D is pretty fair, if they keep it up.
  20. 81 yd td to Sam Aiken. 21 - 10 Pats*
  21. DET@CIN. Palmer's throwing high as usual, got a trademark delay-of-game, and just threw a pick. 1st down 54 yd bomb, Stafford to Calvin Johnson. Lions 7 - 0. Is somebody believing too much in their press clippings?
  22. Prospect, yes. Starter, no. I'm not concerned about his build, just that he's avoided the hits in college. I don't know how he'll stand up in the pros. Given the Bill's other needs, I wouldn't think they would have a shot at him, anyway. I'd consider it a reach if they made a trade move to get him.
  23. I watched all of Pike's games. Sharp eye for the open receiver. Pretty cool under pressure - moves away from it well. Didn't get hit much, thanks to a very good receiving corps: TE Guiduli, WRs Wood, Binns, and Gilyard. Especially Mardy Gilyard - 381 all-purpose yards, ko td return, 2 pass tds in the Pitt game. He probably goes in the 1st round. Decent running from Pead, also. It'll be interesting to see where Pike goes. Late 2nd? Somewhere in the 3rd?
  24. Go enter the same reply to dev/nulls's post. Funny how folks without belief go out of thier way to fling calumny on religion, isn't it? That's telling... Get over it.
