I had to watch in a bar with no sound and I saw those false starts not getting flagged. They couldn't be more obvious.

Well yes. Not the entire game. But say late in the third when it's obvious you aren't making headway against the Jags defense. Swallow your pride and take the three.

The Bills have one of the most reliable kickers in the NFL right now. But we play the game like we don't want to use him. We were in FG range several times yesterday but instead of settling for three, we decided to play right into the Jags gameplan. Hubris kills, and the Bills sometimes believe their own hype a little too much. It's great to have a killer instinct but it's better to realize when things aren't working to just get some points.

Very accurate description of our issues. The answer to me is a uptempo short passing game. I might also add we need to get over settling for field goals. We seem to have this mindset that getting three is failure. That cost us the game.

The Sabres are rolling with who we have now, more or less. There will be a few call ups from Rochester. And Tuch will play once his shoulder heals. They are not gunning for the playoffs. They are building a foundation. Taking shortcuts is how we got derailed in the first place.

They are discussing this on the Sabres board. The move really helps the Sabres later in the season to make moves, perhaps some deadline trades. It's only one year. No biggie.

Apparently it is a secret. But I doubt it come out the same as it does from a REAL pizza oven. Toasted and crispy, not just melted.

One thing is guaranteed. Fans will always think there should have been more coming to the Sabres for Eichel.

That's why I'm asking.

It's a kneejerk reaction of every Bills fan to assume every name free agent will end up in New England because everyone signs there to get a ring, even though that isn't the case anymore. But is it that far-fetched when many problem child wide receivers do end up in Foxboro?
