I hope someone in the Bills social media department puts together a mixtape of all the Bills disrespect and sends them to every player. -

Sunday late thread: Baltimore at Pittsburgh

Lol, what were the Ravens trying to prove with that? You have to respect your opponent enough to take the points. I hope the Bills learned their lesson from the Jags and Titans games. -

Hubris knocked the Ravens out of #1. -
UB says "hold my beer." After fighting from 13 down to tie, how in the world do you give Bona a clean shot in the final 30 seconds? Foul 'em with 15-10 sec to go, put them on the line and either win or tie with final possession. Just an awful stupid way for UB to lose.

I quit cold turkey on Super Bowl Sunday 1988, though I only smoked half a pack a day so my habit was less than others. I would have dreams I was smoking for over a year, but I never picked up a cig again.

It's real easy to focus on the end result but miss what led up to it. Take a listen to the Andre Peters podcast here: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/episode-17-captains-chair-with-brian-gionta/id1590573108?i=1000543751885 Jump ahead top the 22:30 mark and listen to former Sabre Brian Gionta's take on what's going on. While goaltending hasn't been good, the play in front of the net has been terrible. Not everything is the goalies fault.

And they are a good team. Sabres fans have a legit excuse. Because UPL had no morning skate as he had to fly in from Rochester. Dell would have had to been injured for UPL to go in.

Changing the gameplan due to weather

Okay, but what happens when the wet ball thrown by Bazooka Josh goes off our receivers hands, like it did the last time we played in the rain? -

Even Diggs knows you take the points. Listen to this quote about Tyler Bass half way in. -
I think what your seeing is not the Sabres backing off but the opponent turning it up.
-
Correct. The issue was the Panthers waking up and stuffing the Sabres into a locker. We landed a few punches but got out azzez handed to us in the end. The funny thing about the Sabres this year is they are playing mostly good hockey. But they collapse for about ten minutes and give up 3-4 quick goals in that span. What do the Partners average? The building looked half empty last night.

You have to read the game. If you are getting stuffed all game, don't assume you're gonna convert 4th down just because that's what you do. Take the points and be in the game. Remember the Pats game in Buffalo two seasons ago? The one Allen got knocked out of? Barkly has us 4th and goal at the 2 down 6, we go for it and we fail. Had we kicked we'd be down three. Next possession we are in FG range again, still down 6. We go for it on 4th and fail again. If we had kicked the FG earlier, we could tie the game. Instead we go on to lose by 6. That was a game a little humility would have been a good thing.

I think we have lost games getting too cocky.

I will argue that Orchard Park is more prone to bad weather than Fix-boro. Those weather fronts roll unencumbered off the lake to OBD. Patriots might get the rare Nor'easter. Also GOAT Brady never was a big arm gunslinger like Josh is. Only one era did he have a long ball target in Randy Moss. The rest of the time it was pump n' dump with Edelman and Amendola with lots of running.

Looked like Mother Nature is proving the white out Monday, favoring the run-heavy team while neutralizing the elite passing team. Oh but we don't need a dome.
-
Watching NBC Sports Boston. Matthew Fairburn is now a Pats reporter for the Athletic. The narrative this week is the Pats already won this game. Matt Jones is miles ahead of Josh Allen. Bills are a soft team because they'd rather pass than run. Think we are the "greatest show on turf" but we play is cold sloppy Buffalo.

Ugh, a stinker tonight.

I sat him in fantasy against the Bills and he scores 60 fantasy points. This week? Bupkis.
