While most of this was the usual cliches, i really like this guy's demeanor. He thinks before he speaks, no braggadocio, and seems very methodical. Liked that he said he drills technique. If Gilmore stays, maybe he can teach him to tackle properly instead of throwing his shoulder at people. Oh and i don't think i heard a single 'obviously.' As far as the press, no one asked the only question i needed an answer on: What's your philosophy on 4th down from the opponent's 40?

Yep, it was a complete no brainer if you were hiring a defensive head coach. If they went offensive head coach schwartz would've stayed on as D coordinator. I was so pissed when they brought in Ryan and it turned out to be the complete fiasco I expected. Would love to have him back, but no way that's happening.

That laugh. Infectious. Couple it with the insanity that is the bills....downright ROFL. Much needed. Thanks OP.

Tasker after TT td run: "This is why the Bills are such a nightmare" LOL - I can think of a few other reasons. -
This is not news. He's the same as he's always been. A backup level guy that people want to believe will turn into a top tier qb. Not gonna happen.

Tyrod Taylor played better than expected tonight...

Exactly, takes him forever to throw the ball. After all this time still hasn't learned to throw with anticipation. He had an ok game, but a franchise QB would've pulled this out -
Richard Sherman:NFL-wide conspiracy against the Seahawks

Not just knocked down but decked him full blast ...right in front of ref. And Thomas clear illegal contact on woods to get him off his rout. Really just speechless right now. -

nfl coaches are absolute morons. aj green not on the field for conversion and then let's throw backwards so there's the possibility it could be run back for the winning score. -

Another Brady proposed rule change

Can you imagine how many calls the refs would get wrong. "After further review the defender's right hand touched the runner and the left pinky finger did graze the jersey before the ball came out. There is no fumble as he is down by contact." -
Yep, and we've seen this in a game or 2 before with the inability to run a true hurry up offense. I don't know if it's Tyrod just not having the acumen to run some plays on his own or if they're just not prepared (lack of practice?). And what about every play going down to 1 sec in general. Not sure about a TD, because Darby definitely just stopped as soon as he heard the whistle.

I hate to admit it, but Taylor sucks
Jukester replied to Doug Flutie Band's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Holds ball too long, and has no idea how to run a hurry up offense. The last drive was painful to watch. Not even in position for a Hail Mary. -
Yep, and what about the ridiculous takedown of Watt on the last drive on third down. Bengals get the first down and almost pulled out the game.
-
Texans-Bengals: Did anyone see the blatant hold/takedown of JJ Watt in the Bengals last drive on third and long. He actually got hurt on the play and had to come out of the game for a few plays. No call and The Bengals end up completing the pass for a first down and were moving toward the winning touchdown until they fumbled. Same type of crap we've seen against Hughes and Mario. If you're an NFL official and you can't make that call, you should be fired.

On the replay it looked like a severe facemask on the ball carrier (head twisted back) just before the hit that caused the fumble. Correct call in my opinion. The no call on running into Schmidt was ok because the player was blocked into him The chop block and running into the kicker on the Bills seemed to be BS.

It took 2 calls but I pretty much got the same deal. Note, I came off contract mid-July and all of my discounts had expired. Call 1 – front line rep offered me total of $20/mo off for 1 year, nothing for ST. Asked for retention and they offered me $55/mo off for 1 year, nothing showing available in my account for ST. When I said I had to think about it without ST, he said he would check with a manager. They were slammed so he said he’d call me back after manager was available. Never got a call back. Time: 35 mins Call 2 – asked for retention and the lady was super nice. She saw my call from 2 days before and asked what else I was looking for. When I mentioned ST, she checked and offered it free immediately, on top of the already documented $55 off. This was based on 1 yr commitment. I asked if she could upgrade me to Max and she knocked off $34 from the upgrade, so I'm getting the $354 max package for a total price of $68 like BillnutinHouston. I also did an equipment upgrade but that was separate from the above and required a 2 yr commitment. Time: about 1 hour because the final verification people didn’t show all the deals and they had to transfer me back and forth a couple times Package savings: $55 x 12 = $660 ST Max savings: $252 + $34 = $286 Total savings: $946 My annual thanks to all that contributed to this thread for their advice and tips.

For gawd's sake, let's make these rules so complicated that no one can decipher them. If someone catches the ball, has control, and has two feet down, it's a catch, pure and simple. If they hit the ground afterward and the ball pops loose, it's a fumble. Anyone that watches football knows the Dez Bryant and Calving Johnson plays should have been catches.

LOST, a look back from a writer NOT named TGREG

I felt the same way.....the whole last season actually. -
I'm happy with the offseason... so far. Having said that and taking our D into account, the #1 need in my book is offensive line (yes, more than QB). They've brought in Incognito but we obviously need more and nothing so far in FA. Still hoping that we'll land someone otherwise the draft it is. Shore up that O-line and I'll be ecstatic with what we've done.

Just recently went through all six with my 5&7 year olds and I asked myself the same question. In the end I went 4-6, then 1-3. The build up in 5 between Luke and Vader is probably the defining moment of the series and you lose its power if you already know the backstory. When we finished 6 and I told the kids that there were 3 more and it was about how Darth Vader became Darth Vader they couldn't wait. Of course they loved it and we now await the next installment later this year. It will be amazing for all of us to watch the first run of a Star Wars together across generations. Hopefully it's still ok for their ages.

Bryce Brown surprised he isn't playing

Just more idiocy from this coaching staff/front office. -
I said 'who?' when Marrone was hired and laughed (the laugh all Bills fans know) when Hackett was announced as the OC, but gave them the benefit of the doubt last year. I saw some positive signs. This year defense has won us games - offense has regressed. What's frustrating is that we have talent to make the playoffs. It could still happen and then of course Marrone stays. But if not, i still see this organization (even after Pegula steps in) giving Marrone another year.
