There's been a lot of talk of the reasons for the loss. But one that warrants more discussion is Gray going to the prevent on the last drive. Come on - we're attacking the whole game, have them bottled up, get turnovers, and then on the last drive just let Leftwich stand back there. I've never agreed with it and it cost us the game (among other things of course).

Newsflash: The Sky is Not Falling I understand it was a heartbreaker but this team is going to play 12-14 games this year that are going to be tight like this one. Why? Because we have a very good defense, a semblance of a running game, and a coach who has a control the clock mentality. Now, this doesn't mean i've annointed them into the playoffs but we should be competitive throughout the season. Hopefully these guys learn from this type of loss and get better as the season continues.

Ok, you got me on the play where the helmet flew off, which i have to say was worth a celebration. But I'm not going on just that play but their history of this including last year. These guys are always dancing around like clowns. As far as I'm concerned, save it for when you knock the ball down on the last play of the game allowing your team to win.

Stop jumping around like idiots after every marginal play and knock the ball down when it counts the most. That goes for London Fletcher too. Leftwich was just throwing it up for gabs on the last play and the 4th and 14. Unbelievable!!

I totally agree. If you've chosen a kicker for your team, you have to be able to have him kick a 49-50 yarder when it counts. Punting there says you have absolutely no faith in himl. If that's the case, he shouldn't be on the team.

Well as much as he doesn't like to slide, the coaches better get it into his head quickly. As a quarterback you can't continue to put your head down and take on defenders if you want to have a longevity in this league.

There's a feed for tonight's game at 610 CKTB but it gets blacked out. I've heard on this board that if you start listening at least an hour before game time, it bypasses the blackout. Never tried it myself, just going on what i've read here. I ended up saving the aggravation and signed up for FieldPass.

I agree that the situation is BS, but Williams new what might happen. He knew there was a chance that this exact situation would play out but he went ahead and took his chances by hiring an agent and declaring for the draft. I bet he thought he could circumvent the rules somehow since he's still academically eligible. The rules are F'ed but sometimes you have to be smarter and cover your bases.
