  1. Do you have a link to the rule you cite? He did maintain possession to the ground. Therefore he has established possession. Then when he was getting up, his own knee knocked it out of his hands - fumble - which he recovered himself. Here are the only rules I could find on the topic on the NFL website. 7. Any forward pass becomes incomplete and ball is dead if: (a) Pass hits the ground or goes out of bounds. (b) Pass hits the goal post or the crossbar of either team. 8. A forward pass is complete when a receiver clearly possesses the pass and touches the ground with both feet inbounds while in possession of the ball. If a receiver would have landed inbounds with both feet but is carried or pushed out of bounds while maintaining possession of the ball, pass is complete at the out-of-bounds spot.
  2. Good to see things finally going against the Patriots. Turnovers, bad calls against them, missed field goal. It's about time.
  3. That's just disgraceful. Any cornerback in the NFL that can't finish a 100 yard dash without getting caught by a tight end is sad. He was doggin it.
  4. Another wasted opportunity to get JP some game experience. I can't believe the boneheadedness of this staff/administration.
  5. Wouldn't want a quarterback controversy going into the playoffs.
  6. Guess not. Belichek kept Cassel in at QB with 2 mins to go and down by 8.
  7. Anyone see him drop it off the ground and kick it through the uprights for the extra point. He'll probably be in for the last possession - NE down by 5. He's always had a penchant for the dramatic. Whatever you think about this guy, it's good to see him go out in a memorable way.
  8. I'm in a similar predicament. I'll PM you.
  9. Uh, you can't be serious.
  10. Awesome experience. Thanks for sharing. Can't argue with Van on the OL. His take on J.P. might be true but I think most of what ails him is the offensive line. He's losing confidence because of repeated lack of success and unless the line gets addressed this off season, his development could be permanently stunted.
  11. The whole thing smells. Lots of questions left unanswered: What exactly did "excused from practice" actually mean? Moulds requested to have time off and coach granted it or is it that Mularkey mandated that he was not eligible to practice. I tend to think the latter. Why the suspension? EM says in his latest interview that Wilson actually wanted him to play. How can you suspend a guy when you make a statement like that. As you said, if it were a matter of practice time - inactivate him. Why isn't EM overly upset over the suspension and resulting loss of salary? He seems to be fairly ok with the way things ended up. Probably won't know the answers for sure til next year when EM is on another team and more free to talk.
  12. Absolutely. Any coach that doesn't know how to take advantage of a pro bowl veteran receiver other than as a decoy is really outsmarting himself. Granted, Moulds has lost a step, but he is far from washed up. In my opinion EM has every right to be upset and I would've reacted the same way. Being a head coach is more than just Xs and Os. Player management skills are just as important and so far MM has shown he is highly lacking in this department (amongst other things). Even if MM wins this with EM, it will not sit well with the rest of the team. EM is highly respected by other players and they'll see this possibly happening to them in the near future.
  13. Pat Williams was asked if he had an explanation for Buffalo's decision to allow him to hit the free-agent market after last season. "They are dumb," he said. "That's all I can say. They are dumb as can be up there." see article I can't say that I disagree with him. This is especially poignant considering all the issues with Sam Adams right now.
  14. Damn!!! I tuned in 5 mins late
  15. I hope you say that with sarcasm. Remember we are dealing with the zebras here. Just didn't seem like they had enough time before the next snap to take a good look at it.
  16. They should've kneeled, no doubt. But what no one is mentioning is McGahee's carlessness. He should have both hands wrapped around the ball in that situation. A little too non-chalant for my taste. The other thing that irks me is that the booth upstairs didn't review it. On the one brief replay they showed, WM's knee looked very close to being down. I'm not saying that it was, but they should've looked at it.
  17. Some opinions from the game thread today:
  18. Exactly. Not only is the call idiotic, it sends a message to the OL and the rest of the team how little confidence MM has in this offense. Just about the exact opposite of what Vermeil did last week.
  19. Great win today but the play calling is still a little baffling. Mularkey and Clemens love the trick plays and it annoys me to no end when they use them at the worst times, as they did today. 3rd and ten - flea flicker called - aborted by McGahee when pass rusher closing in on KH - any point in this call? 4th and 1 - fake qb sneak with a pass called to McGahee 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage - KH sacked. Are you kidding me!? Seems these types of plays have always been drive killers this year.
  20. It seems they crashed a high school reunion before heading to the bar. More Pics
  21. TKO is a man possessed, on and off the field. He's never been to the playoffs and I think last year was extra tough for him to take. I can see him keeping this defense grounded and focused the whole year.
  22. Extra film sessions without the coaches. Are these guys motivated this year or what. I love it!!
  23. Six Days to Sunday 8:30-9:00pm Thursday 9/15 feature on Bills linebackers
  24. ...or a tennis fan - U.S. Open men's semifinal and women's final today. Agassi into the finals, nice. Michigan blows it vs ND, not so nice. GO BILLS
