  1. It seems they crashed a high school reunion before heading to the bar. More Pics
  2. TKO is a man possessed, on and off the field. He's never been to the playoffs and I think last year was extra tough for him to take. I can see him keeping this defense grounded and focused the whole year.
  3. Extra film sessions without the coaches. Are these guys motivated this year or what. I love it!!
  4. Six Days to Sunday 8:30-9:00pm Thursday 9/15 feature on Bills linebackers
  5. ...or a tennis fan - U.S. Open men's semifinal and women's final today. Agassi into the finals, nice. Michigan blows it vs ND, not so nice. GO BILLS
  6. You are spot on Simon. Just finished watching and the quality of tennis in that 5th set was as good as it gets. Down to the end, points were being won with unbelievable shots, hardly any unforced errors. Both these guys played their hearts out and it was a shame that one of them had to lose. Instant Classic
  7. Ok so the local CBS affiliate here in St. Louis picks up the feed a half hour later at 2-1 in the 5th set. I already know it goes to 6 all in the fifth set tie-breaker, but don't know who wins. So now i've gotten off the website and am sitting through the earlier part of the 5th set so I can finally see the exciting conclusion.
  8. Yeah, USA said that due to contractual obligations they had to cut away but he local CBS station would be picking up the rest of the match. Well you got it on the east coast, but here in St. Louis CBS is showing Inside Edition. The fuggin bastards!!!! It's 6-6 in the 5th set and I have to follow the match online with no video. Unfriggin believable
  9. Not if it's a cloudy day.
  10. From Buffalo News article: Coach Mike Mularkey plans to have his regulars get extended minutes in the final exhibition against the Detroit Lions on Friday night in Ralph Wilson Stadium. "We'll probably play a little more than just the normal fourth preseason game that seems to be a standard around the league," Mularkey said. "We're going to play more because we need to be in a rhythm on both sides of the ball, special teams, all together before we come out of this game. Hopefully, that's early, and we'll just wait and see." Please God - no major injuries!!
  11. Couldn't agree with you more. That and the mental mistakes that continue to occur are my biggest concerns. Penalties (delay of game, personal fouls and others); Fumbles (Clements, McGahee, Losman, Gates all put the ball on the ground on Friday); Missed assigments - blitz pickup, blocking assigmnents, routes All these things show lack of discipline and with the defense and special teams we have, we just need to limit them to have a good season
  12. Here's an excerpt from an article at weather.com The levees that protect the city from flooding are also a flood threat themselves. "The biggest threat that the city has is that of a slow moving Category 3, 4 or 5 hurricane, which would create a surge of water that could be up to 30 feet high. Now if this (high) water comes into the city, it will top the levees. It will go over the top of the levees and actually fill up the city," said Hijuelos. He added, "Every drop of water that comes into this city has to be pumped out. We're below sea level... but when you get a situation of a surge, the pumps would be under water. The pumps would be useless in that situation." Oh Boy!!!
  13. Geography is not a problem. Even Dickerson is calling in from Florida for his show.
  14. Shelton definitely had a bad game. Aside from missed blocks, he was the one that needlessly body slammed the Bear player way out of bounds after a fumble recovery/return.
  15. We all know that Chuck Dickerson will be back on WGR with Hamilton and Riter at 10am Monday mornings but they also said this: Roth declined to reveal who would join Schopp and Chris (The Bulldog) Parker for the postmortems on Monday afternoon, but did say the station will announce Monday the hiring of "two of the biggest names that have ever been associated with the Bills." Anyone have the scoop on this one?
  16. The D definitely was playing less aggressively on the first drive than we've seen, but it still concerns me. Basically they were unable to get off the field on 3rd downs. I think there were at least 3 third downs the Packers converted on the drive, one where the pass was incomplete but Greer got called for defensive holding. And on the touchdown we had fairly good pressure. But Posey just couldn't get there as Favre made a great play dodging the pressure, stepping up and throwing a perfect pass. Must've been a zone blitz because Green was being covered by Shobel.
  17. Here's another: Wisconsin WKEB 99.3FM Doesn't seem to be much of a delay and free
  18. OL, OL, OL - JP's growth occurs faster and WM is on top of everyone's fantasy board with a better o-line.
  19. I wasn't saying that quick drops and rollouts don't work. I'm all for them, but you still need a good offensive line to pull even that off. NE builds it's team on line play. That's why they win even when key skill players go down. And that's why Tom Brady has been so successful - granted he's got some skill too. Go Blue!!
  20. --I also saw him get tackled behind the line and run for 2.5 yard average --You can't sustain a full winning season based on such logic. Wouldn't you much rather have a competent OL so you don't have to have JP run around and get injured
  21. While I agree that WM's health is important, the real key is how the Offensive Line plays. They looked so-so in the scrimmage. Willis didn't get any major holes against an inferior defense. And the success of JP depends highly on how the OL holds up.
  22. $8 per ticket, from what I heard
  23. The point of this post was to get a guage on the opinions of how JP would do this year. I just gave Kelly's rookie numbers as a benchmark. For example, although Kelly's yardage number is almost out of the question, I think JP could get fairly close to his completion percentage. I'd hope that he could beat Kelly's interception total of 17. I also think a passer rating of 83.3 is totally achievable. And of course, he should definitely get more that 4 wins because of the better team around him. So if you think we're delusional, tell us why - e.g. JP's gonna throw 30 interceptions and have a passer rating of 50.
  24. It goes without saying that Jim Kelly was the best we ever had at the position. Is JP the second coming? A lot of you got to view him in action yesterday. I saw some very positive signs. How do you think JP's stats at the end of his first full year will compare with Kelly's rookie year? (see below) Remember too that Jim had the luxury of 2 years in the USFL. Year: 1986 Games: 16 Attempts: 480 Comp: 285 Yards: 3,593 Percent: 59.4% Yards/Attempt: 7.49 TD: 22 INT: 17 Rating: 83.3 Team Record: 4-12 Coaches: Hank Bullough, Marv Levy
