I read that the Broncos put Kelly on the non-football related injured reserve list, meaning he can't come back until somewhere around week six. The article also said that it was unlikely the Bronco's would bring him back this year. I haven't been able to find out what the reason he went on the list has anyone heard?
I am happy that the Bills decided to move on from Yates but I still would like to see them sign a QB to the practice squad. Webb really isn't a QB and I would like to have them at least taking a shot in the dark with another young guy with some upside.
This game is just a no-win situation as far as a measuring stick. If the Bills lose it will be viewed as a complete lost season if they win, no matter how convincingly the story line witl be about how bad the Jets are. This isn't the type of game to use to gauge the team's status or progress.
OJ has not been released from prison yet, although he has been granted parole he's still in jail. It would be silly for the Bills to sign someone who couldn't even get to the games.
He was an undrafted free-agent; we only trade poeple we've drafted for lower picks turning 1's into 2's ect.
My favorite Johnson game I attended was when he left the Bills and signed with the Redskins in 2003; he was backing up the immortal Patrick Ramsey who got hurt and Johnson came in for one series and guess what happened on 3rd down? I you guessed that he was sacked for a 6 yrd loss you are correct!
What an awful list!
Top five for me: Flutie, Bledsoe, Tyrod, Fitz, Van Pelt(?)
Bottom: Brohm, Tuel, Collins
Absolutely most hated: Johnson
I agree, he gave the team hope
I hope you're wrong about that; Yates is awful and shouldn't even be in the league at this point. He clearly doesn't even have the tools to be a back-up QB.
I agree with you that Yates likely will stay for the reason you outlined but its safe because it reduces the opportunity for second guessing, and if that is your MO its pretty tough to win championships.
Agreed, he is an upgrade from Yates
Why do you say that Taylor would need to be released? They wouldn't put in a waiver claim, rather they would wait until he cleared and then sign him at market price. If the market is too steep let him go.
I'm not sure I get that analogy lol
