  1. Reading the first three pages of this topic I read 6 people who said that EJ is the starter no matter what.
  2. I can't understand why some are annointing EJ as the starter forever. He wasn't very highly thought of coming out of college. The best evaluations had him listed as the best option in a poor year for QB's. With an almost universal agreement that that this years QB class wasn't that great he didn't even stand out most saw Geno Smith as the best of the lot. Watching him I haven't seen a great ability to read defenses and he throws a pretty bad deep ball. Even his ability to run hasn't really overwhelmed me. I'm not arguing that Thad is a sure fire starter in the NFL either but truthfully I've liked what I've seen from him more than I have from EJ. EJ needs to earn the starting job not be handed it on a silver platter.
  3. Wade Phillips and the Late (in my opinion, great) John Butler weren't very fond of thier treatment by Old Man Wilson with the alligator arms and deep pockets.
  4. How great would it be to see Manning with that red buffalo on his helmet next year. It would be a terrific sign to the fan base that Wilson was serious about changing the culture here. I think he's sell out every game before the season opened and even have a wait-list for season tickets.
  5. Rules were meant to rewritten, especially when there is money to be made. My guess is Nike wouldn't have written a nice big check if they didn't expect something in return. Just changing the logo from Reebok to Nike isn't enough to make anyone plop down $90+. I hope you are right and the league and Bills don't try to treat us like chumps. The Bills front office would never do anything like that right?)
  6. The NFL contract for uniforms with Reebok expires this year and Nike will be the official supplier for all NFL teams next year. Typically when this happens the mfg's want all the teams to change their uniforms in order to boost sales and so when the Bills announced the new uniforms this year I was wondering if they would do a one and done on us. Well interestingly enough the Bills put all the jerseys in the Bills online store on sale for 39.95 from 85. Which seriously leads me to believe that at least a "refreshing" is ahead. Has anyone heard of anything "official"?
  7. Yes he is always stealing my good ideas like trading your entire draft for an undisciplined drug addicted running back.
  8. I like the idea. Good risk/reward scenerio, although I am not as down on Levi Brown as I am Brohm.
  9. I agree 100% coaches would hate it, because we'd all second guess them and it's why we'd all love it lol. You're right about the games without Brady or Manning but we all know we'd watch our teams anyway right? Look at the mess Ralph has put out on the field for the last 10 years and we watch every single week. I actually pay for the honor! The networks would rather have the stars playing but they would love to have the extra two games even without them. Plus think about the added interest in the pre-game shows with speculation about whether Aaron Rogers would start or sit? Drive the gamblers nuts too. Yes I think games that count with 95% of the starters playing would be more interesting than exhibition games with starters going at 1/2 speed for 1/3 of the game do you disagree? Again my solution isn't perfect but i believe it gives something to all parties (owners more money, players more money + additional jobs and fans get what they actually pay for a real contest)
  10. Never heard Ditka mention it, I thought of this solution two-years ago when I trying to find a solution to the problem of paying for two game I have no intention of ever attending and usually end up selling them on stubhub for $5-10 bucks a piece after paying $65 ea. Yeah I thought of that too, I also like it because it would allow people who can't afford to attend a regular season game a chance to go. I might even go with making the tickets $10 general admission, spread the difference out on the game tickets and it would probably actually increase revenue because it would put more people in the stadium paying for parking and buying concessions.
  11. As a Bills season ticket holder I hate having to pay full price for pre-season games. Owners don't want to give up the ticket revenue by eliminating the games and in fact want to gain additional network TV money by adding regular season games. The players for very good reasons don't want to play more games for the same salary and shorten their careers. My solution which is a win for everyone is this. Add the two additional games BUT... all players are only eligible to play in 16 games. The roster could be expanded from 53 to 61 (making the practice squad guys eligible to play) It is a win all around. As a fan/ticket holder I get real games for the money I am spending. Plus we all have the added fun of questioning our coaches decisions about who to sit and when. WGR will be buzzing about whether we should sit out our QB (versus Detroit when we would still have a chance to win or versus New England on the road when we are likely to lose anyway) Owners get additional revenue from TV without significant additional expense although they would have to pay the practice squad players at least the NFL minimum. Players would get additional time off during the season to heal injuries and part of the added network TV money goes into the pool to raise salaries.
  12. I couldn't agree more! The bigger issue for me is that the Bills may only short time remaining in Buffalo, if new ownership (and that could happen at any time now) decides to move the Bills our "patience" will be rewarded in LA. bull **** win now it's been 10 years since we've seen a playoff game, give Buffalo the championship contender it deserves now. I don't want to be like the Quebec Nordique fans who watch their patience turn into a championship in Denver. Win now Ralph, the Bills are one of the most profitable teams in the NFL, spend a little Ralphie you can't take it with you.
  13. Good thought but I think is ok at best. I too thinkk he has heart and a is a great underdog story coming from Harvard but unfortunately his arm is pretty weak and he is really inaccurate at times. I see him more as a 3rd string guy than even a second string QB.
  14. Couldn't agree more, once again it is all about money for Wilson and the Bills. That's also why we will trade former first round picks Lynch and Whitner for third or fourth round picks. Bills-owned reports will tell us its about the future. In an uncapped year Bills fans deserve a little bit of a spending spree for thier loyal support but I am willing to bet that we have a lower payroll this year than last. I can't stand it anymore.
  15. For all of you 16 year old morons who attacked my understanding of football and doubt whether Ralph Wilson is playing you for a fool by be a cheapskate who has ruined this franchise a few questions: When was the last time you saw a Bills play-off game? Who fired Bill Polian? Where is Jason Peters these days? We have an injury prone QB yet who is his back-up? (Is he a better QB than Garcia or Vick?) You think the Bills are a play-off team this year? Who's our coach stupid? Why do you think this ineffective loser is still coaching after being outcoached in most games last year? Is he better than say, I don't know Cowher, Shanahan, Rex Ryan or Eric Mangini? Get your head out of the sand stupid Ralph Wilson makes every move based on money, he signed TO because he knew it would sell ticket while an all-pro lineman like Peters would just make the team better. I liked the TO signing but winning isn't why he was signed. Let's see how good this new line is when we face a real defense. The Patriot and Bucc d's are awful.
  16. I can't stand it; will Wilson ever spend some money on this team? Runyon is a proven tough vet, but instead we sign a no-name unproven rookie. The rebuilding project that will never, never, never, end.
