I never said it was my top priority however you can't win a championship without a very good QB in this league, end of story. If you need further evidence name the QB's among this years play-off teams that Tyrod outplayed this year? (Obviously excluding the McCarron). They only two who you could even debate would be Kirk Cousins and Bryan Hoyer and neither of them are certain to be starting for their teams next year.

Just think back to recent history, people were upset that the Bills signed Vince Young because the Bills just signed Fitzpatrick to a long term deal, A lot of people thought he might be our QB for years.... By the end of that year it was pretty clear that he wasn't an NFL starter. I hope Taylor is the long term answer but as the saying goes "hope in one hand and spit in the other... See which gets filled first". If Taylor turns into a flop next year we are back at square 1 in 2017. 16 years is too long to wait...

I have seen more than enough of EJ, I hope he isn't on the team at all.
-
Good point... But a mobile reclaimation guy would be ideal.
-
If Taylor plays like a he did this year or better there won't be any drama lol
-
Given what the Bills have done these last 16 years you think he should have been writing positive articles full upbeat projections? I think he has been very fair and realistic and the results certainly have shown him to be pretty accurate,
-
Great example, that is exactly the type of guy I think would be a good fit. A true champion gets better with competition he doesn't go away and mope. He deserves to be the "starter" going into camp agreed but one of the biggest mistakes the Bills have made over the years is not to have "plan B" ready in case. Whether is was Trent Edwards or Rob Johnson or EJ they would clear the roster to make certain they didn't feel pressure, I want a QB how thrives on pressure not shrinks from it.
-
You think he's better than Luck, Mariotta and Carr? I like him but those guys are clearly better.
-
It's pretty safe to assume the Taylor will be back as the Bills starting QB next season; I for one hope that EJ isn't our back-up going into the season. I would like the Bills to bring in someone who would represent a legitimate challenge to Taylor. Although he did a decent job this year, probably the best QB year we've had since Bledsoe, I'm not confident he is a top 10 QB. My question is this, how do the Bills address the #2 QB next year: Draft a QB? How high? Sign a veteran back-up? Go after a big name (maybe past his prime veteran like Drew Brees)?

Coughlin Out as NYG HC; No Eagles or 49ers Job
HT02 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's unfortunate but not unexpected. I admire the way Coughlin conducts himself quiet dignity but I can't say I blame the Giant ownership either, he has really run out of chances. -
Now is when McCoy's contract bites us in the butt
HT02 replied to jester43's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with you McCoy is a nice back but I think it's been proved over and over again that rb's are largely interchangeable in this league and he isn't going to get any better next year or going forward. -
It's a shame that Sullivan is so negative given the amount of sustained success the Bills have achieved in the last 16 years. Maybe you're confusing negative with accurate.

Pettine officially fired by Browns; Marrone to interview

Rank your playoff teams - Who you pulling for

1-11 Anyone 12 Patriots -
The biggest problem I've found with Rex this year is that he cares more about being liked than being respected. Accountability isn't something that's been his trademark. He hasn't learned a thing being fired from the Jets

How many people will be pulling for Fitz and Chan?
HT02 replied to billsintaiwan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you summed it up nicely, I like both Gailey and Fitz and I think he would have had a pretty good run here with any kind of D. Plus I want the better draft pick, last Sunday's game was a set-back not a step forward. There is nothing to be gained by winning when the season is officially over. -
Jets trolling Pats with honorary captain Mo Lewis
HT02 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If not for that hit maybe Bledsoe remains the starter and Brady is a career back-up.... I hate Mo Lewis -
Have you experienced a championship as a fan of another team

You make great point, they should flex it BUT they should broadcast it on all of the networks that have a contract to air NFL games, CBS, NBC, FOX, ESPN and the NFL Network. Sort of like a presidential address to the nation. Maybe flex all of the 4pm games to 1pm this way we could have a 4 hour pre-game show like they do for the Super Bowl. This way they could examine each of the angles you identified. Boobie Dixon's unsportsmanlike penalty

I agree, just another example of a stupid inexcusable penalty. -
Tyrod Taylor and the Heroic Run to 7-9
HT02 replied to UBBullsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has played better than most of the QB's we have had since Flutie but I'm with you management needs to have plan B ready as well. There is a reason he was a back-up for four years. He might get better but as the old saying goes "wish in one hand and "crap" in the other; see which gets filled first" -
Carucci: Bills won't discuss Whaley's future during season
HT02 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I said might No not because of Cassel, because 1: He has tried to force him on both Marrone and Ryan. 2. He has made very limited efforts to find a real prospect to challenge him and he still ends up getting beaten out by the likes of Orton and Taylor. -
Any Bills fans been to a game in Philly?
HT02 replied to formerharvardquarterback's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, I have been to two including one at the old vet; they fans made a couple of comments but noting physical. I just smiled and moved on when they did. -
Best/Worst Visiting Fan Experience
HT02 replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've been to 17 different stadiums and by far the best experience was at FEDEX Field. The Redskins fans were terrific. The Patriots fans are the absolute worst, can't go 10 feet without a stupid comment. Now both cases may have been impacted by the fact that the Bills are divisional rivals of the Patriots and not so much with the Redskins. I don't know if a Cowboys, Giants or Eagles fan might have a different experience. In all fairness though RWS is right up there with its share of obnoxious drunken douche bags. I cringe when I hear our fans abusing opposing fans, sometimes families with young kids or teenagers. That was my experience when I went to the old stadium. I agree with you on all points. I try to be respectful and talk to the folks around me and not be a jerk in the unlikely event the Bills are accidentally winning.
