  1. I agree with you; I just hope the team doesn't quit trying to find a real franchise QB if we finish between 8-10 wins this year. Taylor might be enough to get them to the play-offs but I can't imagine him ever being good enough to compete with the top QB's in the league.
  2. I have to agree
  3. Yes, slam that damn panic button all three of these guys are awful. Glennon or Meckenberger would be my choice. I still can't believe Whaley hasn't drafted even one more QB in the last 2 years. I agree, I have seen enough of Orton
  4. The article made me want to vomit. A perfect example of left wing non-sense. We're supposed to feel good that he fathers children out of wedlock. The pablum of the slaves non-sense, and the poor Freddy Gray BS. What a load of crap. He so cool smoking marijuana and painting wow...
  5. Mets Bills Islanders Alabama (Football) Michigan State (Basketball)
  6. Good point and where does Bucky Brooks fit on that list?
  7. I was thinking the same thing! The thing that makes me feel better about it is that Peters was let go because Wilson refused to spend the money that's not an issue with Pegula,
  8. http://www.cheatsheet.com/sports/nfl-3-potential-landing-spots-for-colin-kaepernick.html/?ref=YF Upside, far more successful than anyone we have, young and has worked with Roman. Maybe not... getting the reputation as a problem child, pain the in ass, had a bad year last year, expensive
  9. That is pretty much my feeling as well, interesting rumor today though, Kapernick might be available http://www.cheatsheet.com/sports/nfl-3-potential-landing-spots-for-colin-kaepernick.html/?ref=YF
  10. That would be great If it turns out you're right I would be thrilled but my guess is Taylor is more of a prayer. From everything I've read he is not a great passer in a passing league.
  11. Given their mostly feeble prior NFL success and the less than stellar reports coming from the OTAs I am more and more pessimistic about 3 stooges we have as potential QB's. I was hoping the Bills would pick up at least one guy with potentially big upside to at minimum, provide a long shot hope that Bills fans might actually catch that long overdue break we very much are due. I was envisioning someone like Glennon from TB or Mettenberger from the Titans. I know those names aren't going to invoke Manning, Luck or Rivers like excitement but I am just looking for something new with at least a little bit of hope. Do you think it is too late for something to happen "keep hope alive"?
  12. I don't think Simms will amoount to much either but you say we need a "game manager/don't lose the game" guy, that definately isn'y Michael Vick.
  13. Dalton definitely is a better QB than Fitz and has the "potential" to be even better but I can promise you there would rightfully be folks looking to run him out of Buffalo too after three straight one and dones in the play-offs. I want a QB who can make a team a Super Bowl contender; no one seriously considered the Bengals a serious threat to win the Superbowl last year.
  14. The curse still exists until we make the play-offs and as uticaclub suggests the Bills should have him lead the charge to open the season this year. Rex is the kind of coach that would love that kind of move too.
  15. I don't think those transactions demonstrate enough of a commitment to solving the problem given the value of the QB position in today's NFL. If Manuel were a "can't miss" prospect like Luck, RG3 or Newton then that might have been sufficient but EJ came into the league with serious question marks and was viewed by most analysts as a reach pick, Given his struggles in year one, his lack of progress in year two and questionable value entering year three Whaley should have added at least one draft pick in addition to Taylor and Cassell to the mix. My gut feeling is he still believes in EJ and remains desperate to give him every chance to win the starting job.
  16. I understand your point and I don't disagree at all; Fred is a great guy and a person I'm proud to root for but the Bills need to put the best team on the field. However loyalty is a two way street to anyone who is okay with the Bills cutting Fred can't complain when the player or coach does the same thing. When Marrone did what he thought was best for him and opted out of his contract you would have thought he joined ISIS. To be fair you have to be consistent (I'm not lecturing you Count Dorkula, I have no idea what you said or wrote about Marrone I a speaking in general terms).
  17. I would love to get either Mettenberger or Glennon, my quess is that either of them can be had now for a late draft pick 5 or 6. Both of them have a much higher upside than any of QB's we have on the roster right now
  18. I don't get this attachment to EJ, he was a reach in a bad QB draft class. If you look at the pre-draft scouting reports he pretty much resembles what was described in those analysis. Good but inaccurate arm, bad foot work, questionable decision making. I was hoping the scouts were wrong and Whaley was right but I haven't seen any indication of that. I actually like EJ he seem like a great kid with a strong work ethic and someone I would enjoy cheering for but he hasn't shown me a great deal as a QB or team leader.
  19. Based on what? I hope he turns in a great GM but your declaration seems to be a lot more conjecture than fact.
  20. That sums up my opinion as well. I know Cassel has a better arm but my guess is that he isn't as probably can't get the ball out as quickly or read defenses as well. If Fitz had even a mediocre arm he would be fantastic but any pass longer than 20 yards was a struggle for him and he couldn't throw anything outside the hash marks.
