Week 3, Jagoffs v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
JP51 replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
We have got to find a way to beat these guys... we just do... this game makes me nervous... (well all of them do LOL) anyways... Bills 17 Jags 13 lets hope this doesnt come down to a Bass kick. -
I remember the replay commentary when they showed it on the highlights they said something like the officials saying to Madden, yeah you won get your fat butt off the field lol.

Fair but I am just not even seeing him out there... but maybe Jmarcus Ingram is very good too... I hope that is the issue.

After 2 weeks, Coleman has better win rate/ separation than Worthy and others

Totally agree... and look not an AI or a stats freak not gonna lie... but I think they are useful for sure... I am just in the to soon camp. -
Agreed especially the wiry and non sound tackler... just the opposite of what McD looks for... I didnt really understand the pick then. I do wonder if its less the coverage and more the tackling that keeps him on the bench... I just dont know... but it seems like an odd marriage. We did need a CB at the time... and they took their shot. But I think you are right, probably not the guy they wanted. also, that Taron Johnson nickle slot, you need to come up and make a tackle and he just doesnt do it.

SO true... we have got to find a way to beat these guys at some point. they have been a thorn in our sides... Monday night at home... tough schedule.. gotta find a way to beat them.

I completely get how we want to analyze and use metrics for understanding and to get a feel of how we drafted ... if we were right... that KC didnt bamboozle us... I get it... But I am just in the looked good week 1... got nothing week 2... long season... rookie figuring this out... lets see... I dont think we have any idea what this turns out to be... quite honestly I havent even seen him used in the capacity i really felt like they got him for which was a big presence in the end zone to get 50/50 balls and corner routes... he turns into that separation wont mean anything... no one really gets separation deep in the red zone... you just get open or you jump higher than the other guy. -
I hate this for Tre, but I think you are right we moved probably when we needed to... those injuries he had suck to come back from especially when speed, burst and agility are your living. Makes you wonder what is up with Elam... cant think its coaching....

Long-term future of the Bills defensive backfield?

I agree I think he is walking... I dont know but I get this feeling that they had discussions on extentions with him last year like you said... he seems lukewarm about the team in a way not so much the team, but he has gotten to the point where he is looking for his big contract in FA and if its here great, if not so be it... but not looking to give the old hometown discount at this point. In the end, who can blame him. -

I agree with the the 2022 point 100% he wasnt fully recovered and then boom. I do think if he plays they will try to protect him but I am just not sure how effective that will be. It would certainly impact what he does and potentially what they run. In the end its Tua's call... but different sport, if you remember Patty LaFontaine and his concussions... literally at the end he bumped into someone, his head jarred and he got another concussion... literally it became that easy. I hope for his sake he thinks this thru with his family. -

I have watched that play several times, I have no way of knowing the level of kinetic impact with that hit but geez it did not look to be anything out of an ordinary hit. I have heard that concussions get easier to get the more that you have had. This I think is very concerning to me as I just didnt see this as a violent collision, it was really more they ran into each other. If he is going to get a concussion on a hit like this and they get easier to get as they accumulate this is got to be spooky for him -

I am with you... I dont think it is advantageous to have the NFL make or encourage or nudge anyone to retire. This is amongst the most personal decisions anyone can make. Its a slippery slope from there when you start to mess with some ones career. That being said, they should be providing him and lets hope they are with independent consult and resources so he and his family clearly understand his situation the risks etc...and can make the best decision for him. For his sake I hope he does make the right call... but without the benefit of the doctors or information I wont presume what that call should be. I wish him the best. -
The changing game? Passing yards at 193/game so far....

I think the league will always be about evolution even it if it is evolving back to old ways... kinda like wallpaper and mustaches coming back and Mullet....er not them... anyways... I do think we are seeing a greater emphasis being placed on the run and getting bigger as teams have been built to stop the constant on slaught of air drills ... I think we are seeing this in what the Bills are doing with a great focus on the run, 12 personnel 2 TE sets, bigger recievers etc... and then of course it will all change back when the advantage shifts and teams incorporate their response to these changes. I feel like we may be a bit out front of this concept and that is good.
