  1. Fair. I honestly only clicked the link because of the update. My feelings towards the situation are/were basically it would've been stupid to get rid of him for whatever reason some fans could come up with. I also fall into the category of those who don't invest much time into dissecting social media banter. I get Jason Peters flashbacks when the thought of not keeping pro bowl caliber talent at LT is the subject. Apologies as my response wasn't given with the proper context or understanding of your logic.
  2. I would imagine any worthwhile DE attacking from Josh's blindside; since we let a 3x Pro Bowl LT (who is responsible for protecting our most valuable player ever during his tenure) go for whatever reason
  3. Even at this particular stage of the off season, my outlook is extremely positive. I'm excited about: Milano + Bernard elevating each others games and being an elite LB duo Kincaid + Shakir stepping into more prominent roles in addition to whichever WR prospect(s) we add to the group Diggs being healthy Cook unquestionably being the guy (hopefully no more extended trips to the doghouse and much improved catching) and having a consistent rush attack to account for The overall infusion of youth to the team I hope we utilize playaction a lot more because I think that aspect is what actually pushes our offense to borderline unstoppable status However, as long as we have Josh at QB I will be of the mindset that we are contenders.
  4. At minimum a bridge safety who fills an immediate need. At max he becomes the next Poyer/Hyde for 6 years. This was a prep for the future signing from day one. Hopefully he gets paired with a nice counterpart whether through FA or draft and takes advantage of the opportunity. I think he could be productive in our defense. I like it
  5. I think that would be the automatic spite move. You walk right into Adams as a #1 and you can hold off on the qb search for a couple years. I think Payton as HC hindered them more than anything But I think ATL would be crazy not to make an offer and I think they'll be the top suitor
  6. I don't see how he doesn't end up in either Atl, Pitt, LV, NYG
  7. With the way I tried to type "exclusively" and how that turned out, you would think I had quite a few of them
  8. Nor did I until I actually got an invite to attend. So now I'm wondering if I was being scouted and just blew my chance 😂 I'm sure there are fans there. I received an email to register to attend. Prior to that I honestly thought it was ezclusivelt a coaches and scouts event
  9. I agree. Rice worked out pretty well for them. It won't deter them from going after a guy they want but I don't think they are focused on taking a specific guy because we want them. They're gonna attempt to improve the position regardless of moving up or not. The class is that deep at WR. I just hope we come away with 2 of them
  10. I've been wondering how folk would feel about a combo of Mitchell/Legette and then doubling down with Walker later on. I personally would love it. I think Walker would be a steal and that would potentially be a nice WR core going forward.
  11. I'm looking forward to this game as it will be the ultimate public retribution. We have 1 of 2 qbs who I believe neutralizes the Mahomes factor and can go toe to toe with anybody. I love the Bills in this position because it's not forced with all the media hype and all the success this season stems from straight up grit and determination. Hoping we can get a boost from some health on the defensive side of things but aside from that, I believe we are a legit contender. Bills 31 Chiefs 24
  12. It's without a question Dallas. They've held onto their glory days for well over 2 decades without shame. Football as a whole would be insufferable if they get to start that cycle over again
  13. I hope he was tuned into the PHI/DAL game last night because if there is a play I would love for us to steal is that Center lead draw play from PHI. I recall seeing it twice and it was extremely effective. If Kelce didn't whiff on his block either time those would've have been almost 25yd gains. I will have to watch the replay to see if there was a particular defense that made it so effective, but I like that play with Josh and Mitch.
  14. He is the best qb this team has ever had imo and he is a historically elite talent in general. I will defend him to the end of the earth with all he is asked to do. As a Philly native I personally look at what Hurts has at his disposal and say if Allen had that they would be unstoppable. I genuinely feel like he should have numerous SB rings on his resume when it's all said and done.
  15. I don't know how you're analyzing this play. He did not make a conscious decision to cover Gabe. He was making a move on Diggs underneath and at the last second saw that the other db had switched off. By the time he tried to adjust, Gabe ran past and was open on a streak. Slay was assigned to Diggs the entire time, hence him following him across the field pre snap and lining up across from him. The other db gambled his coverage to protect the first down and left Slay out to dry.
  16. It's like the first point is being ignored altogether for some reason. A corner route is a 3 part route. Slant inside, streak, corner... The option comes into play after reading what the defensive situation is after the streak. If you've got behind the defender after 7yds during the streak with no other defender in sight, I can't understand why someone would opt to not run straight into open space. Especially with an all out blitz in play... Just seems like a low iq decision and it's amplified due to the circumstances.
  17. I know this...in fact I said this He wasn't playing zone, he was playing man on Diggs and he was right at the first down marker which was 7yds away. He was still accounting for the fact that they could get a 1st. He reacted to Diggs route. He recovered about as best he could to pick up Gabe as he ran bye but he had no intent of covering him. That's why the coverage was blown. Still...Gabe should've continued towards the open space directly in front of him in that situation.
  18. Slay isn't playing zone. He is playing man and got confused on his assignment. He followed Diggs late across the formation. He thought he was covering him once they lined up. The outside DB stepped up to defend the underneath route by Diggs because they still could get a 1st down. Slay initially made his move towards Diggs also, which is why Gabe ran right past him. The defender didn't have any leverage because the coverage is blown and Gabe passes him at the 10yd line. The read at that point is keep going straight, not make an additional adjustment for a tougher throw.
  19. Because there is a full on blitz occurring. With no safety coverage on top, he should be running to the more open area to compensate for a potentially rushed pass. I've rewatched this play roughly 30x. Diggs draws the man coverage to the sideline underneath flawlessly, and that crossed Slay up, which is why Gabe essentially went right by him. The option at that point was to simply continue running straight. You can see where Allen threw the ball was leading him in the same direction he was already going. The break to the outside turns that into an over the shoulder touch pass. There was no need for an additional move on the route (especially towards the sideline) because there was no other defender to account for. Diggs is already signaling a score when he turns and sees Gabe with a clear path.
  20. I feel like we get an MVP level Josh Allen game, the offense sets the tone and we put pressure on the Eagles to keep pace. In the end we win a very competitive game 31-27
  21. I'd even be willing to send compensation for Bienemy. He's headed championship offenses and clearly knows how to use the talent he's afforded.
  22. It's difficult to blame Cook because of how sparingly he is used. We call running plays like they are trick plays which is crazy. This is the 2nd rb who is being terribly underutilized for no apparent reason. Singletary before and now Cook... Cook should be a feature back to balance things out. These OC's keep promoting less hero ball from Josh all while completely relying on him to do it all and neutering the offense as a whole.
  23. I would have to go with the OC. If you see that there has clearly been struggles in the passing game because of (insert reason) then you supplement the offense with runs. Cook should not see less than 15 runs a game at all. Phasing the run game out (even when it is working) is not the smart thing to do. The offense isn't diverse enough to just rely on passing. Even with automatically knowing that Cook is not gonna be on the field in 95% of goal to go situations is a complete advantage to defenses. The offense was figured out basically after Miami. There was no different approach at all.
  24. It was Buchanan's Master. Had I not passed out I would've dedicated a few sips to your health. Feel better Buchanan's Master. I'm going to check out what you had.
  25. I still have a half bottle of whiskey left. Go Bills! I started with a full bottle tho
