  1. I remember the season finale when the Bills played the Jets at Giants Stadium. The Bills won 37-0 and I believe this was the last game Joe Walton coached the Jets as he was fired soon after. The game was sold out and shown on local TV but only 21,148 showed up and I was one of them. It was so easy to get in and out of the Meadowlands that day with such a small crowd.
  2. They aren't fading until proven otherwise but their division is getting tougher. Hopefully someone in that division can knock them down to WC status. Harbaugh will build a team that will eventually challenge them. They made the playoffs in his first year there. Can they take the division from them this year. I don't know but they will sometime soon. IMHO
  3. https://nypost.com/2025/05/08/sports/ducks-hiring-joel-quenneville-after-career-derailed-over-handling-of-sexual-assault-scandal/ Wasn't Quenneville involved in some kind of sex scandal when he coached years ago. I thought the NHL banned him. Guess not as he is the new Ducks HC.
  4. This doesn't sound like the Steelers are interested in trading him. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/nfl-shock-steelers-prepare-161-million-deal-for-tj-watt-after-pickens-trade/ar-AA1Ep9Ns?ocid=BingNewsSerp
  5. True the Bills OL is also very good. I meant 2nd best player on offense at the skill positions.
  6. Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think Tomlin has ever had a losing season as Steelers HC. Maybe 8-8 once or twice but never a losing season. He has been the Steelers coach for a long time now. I just can't see the Steelers tanking. They may not be good enough to win the division. But they never seem to be a bottom feeder either. Barring injuries the Ravens should win the division. If the Bengals had a defense, then they could challenge them, but they don't.
  7. It really is a shame that Terry can't get out of his own way when it comes to the Sabres. Even though Buffalo is known as a football mad city, they are also a very good hockey market. When/If the day ever comes when playoff hockey returns to WNY I can't wait to watch the Sabres first playoff home game in years. I can only imagine what the atmosphere will be like. It will be crazy loud in the arena. That is for sure.
  8. I hope the first game at the new stadium is also on Thursday night for the obvious reason but even if the Bills don't win it all this year, I still think the first game at the new place will be a primetime game. You know how the NFL likes to make a big deal out of everything so they will probably want the Bills new home to be in the spotlight nationally for the first regular season game. If it's not the Thursday night game, then it will be SNF or MNF. IMHO.
  9. Wasn't the first regular season game at the stadium against the Jets so it would be cool if they closed the regular season at the current stadium against the Jets. When they open the new stadium the first regular season game should be against the Dolphins. Most Bills fans consider the Dolphins the Bills biggest rival so why not have the first regular season game at the new place against them.
  10. Cook is absolutely needed. He is the 2nd best player on the Bills offense. He isn't elite like Barkley or Henry, but he is very good. He helps take a lot of pressure off of Allen.
  11. Cook not being at OTA's isn't a big deal. I will start to get concerned if he is a no show at TC.
  12. I am starting to get that sick feeling that this might be the Leafs year. I am not giving up on Florida, but they better win the next 2 at home to even this up at 2-2 otherwise the Leafs will most likely be in the ECF. I don't care who wins the Cup just as long as the Leafs don't.
  13. Another random (meaningless) game that I remember was in 1978 during a miserable 5-11 season. The Bills beat the Giants 41-17 and Terry Miller had over 200 yards rushing that day. I looked up the attendance and it was 28,496 who showed up that day.
  14. Lou Lamoriello could probably do a better job even at 82. Even though the Isles didn't renew his contract, his time on the Island wasn't a complete failure. 5 playoff appearances in 7 years with back-to-back runs to the ECF. If the Isles could have gotten by Tampa they might have won the Cup.
  15. 1981 season opener with 31-0 win over the Jets. They followed that up in week 2 with a 35-3 win over the Baltimore Colts.
  16. Two years ago, the Sabres had a good year record wise and just missed the playoffs by a 1 or 2 points. I thought for sure last year would be the breakout year and they would make it. But it didn't happen. What went wrong. I am an Isles fan in NJ, so I don't get to see the Sabres that much unless they play one of the three local teams in the NYC/NJ area.
  17. I don't feel sorry for the people of California. Keep voting D morons. The Gov and Mayor are doing a fantastic job.
  18. The apple doesn't fall to far from the tree and Daddy wasn't exactly the humblest guy during his playing days. He might still be an arrogant jerk as HC. As Bills fans I think we have an excellent case against the NFL for all of the stress and torture we have endured for 65 years watching the Bills. Let's sue for 10 billion dollars. We can win
  19. https://www.totalprosports.com/nfl/nfl-is-reportedly-being-sued-for-100-million-over-shedeur-sanders-draft-slide/ This will never go to trial but how delusional must someone be to try and bring this to trial. I say fine the guy for wasting everyone's time on this.
  20. McDermott does seem to get outcoached by Reid in the playoffs. I would have fired him after 13 seconds but the only opinion that matters is Terry's. He likes having Sean and Brandon as his HC/GM. I still say it doesn't matter how well Allen plays as long as the defense continues to disappoint, they will never get to a Super Bowl. Allen will be this generations version of Marino/Ewing. Hopefully with all of the changes on defense it will lead to a better defense that can do their part so the Bills can finally bring a championship to WNY. This fanbase deserves one.
  21. I was there. Leaving MetLife and seeing all of the pissed off Jets fans was PRICELESS.
  22. One player no matter how great cannot carry a team to a Super Bowl. It's impossible. The Bills are going to get over the hump with Allen continuing to play well and having the defense step up and doing their part. If that happens then the Bills will get over the hump and get to a Super Bowl. Barring any serious injuries, they will most likely face the Eagles or Lions if they do. I think this is the year Detroit represents the NFC in the Super Bowl.
