AFC Championship Game- How do you feel now about it?
Gregg replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
On the plus side the AFCE is currently the Bills, Moe, Larry, Curly. Unless something drastic happens like injuries the Bills should be a lock for the division. Can they get to the AFCCG and beyond starting on WC weekend assuming no #1 seed is the question. -
Free Agent Lull.... are we done minus bit players or more to come?

Done. On to the draft and then when TC/preseason starts and teams start making cuts. Beane might sign someone for the practice squad or added depth. -
If the Bills can win a Super Bowl or two with Allen, then I have no problem suffering through a rebuild once Allen retires. I lived through the 70's and the back-to-back 2-14 seasons for a combined 4-28 record. As well as the drought. Give me a Lombardi and I will patiently go through another rebuild if the team declines when Allen is done.

Rodgers doesn't make sense for the Giants either. They are going to be bad in 2025. A 41-year-old QB past his prime isn't changing that. Stick with Tommy "Cutlets" Devito and suffer through a poor season and maybe they win the Arch Manning sweepstakes.

It’s time for a generational talent, blue chipper

Going from #30 into the top 10 is going to be difficult. If a player that Beane likes starts to fall on the draft board then I have no doubt Beane will try and move up. He has done it before. I don't know if he can move up enough to get into the top 10. My guess is the Bills 2026 1st Rd pick would have to be included in any deal to get to the top 10. -
It would be easy for him to sign with Giants. He has a house in NJ so all he would have to do is trade green for blue. He better accept a 4-to-6-win team as that is probably where the Giants will be. The Eagles and Commanders are much better, and the Cowboys are also better as well. With the Steelers he would have a shot at the playoffs, but I still think the division is the Ravens to lose.

Haven't been yet but it is on my bucket list. Also, on my list are to see a game in Green Bay, and baseball games at Fenway and Wrigley.

The Bills won't get one of them. I was responding to the question "If we had the #1 pick what would you do". Beane may try and trade up, but I doubt he trades up enough to get the top 2 or 3 DL unless one of them falls in draft board. -

From what I have read from the "experts" the top DE in this draft is Abdul Carter. Others to consider Mason Graham or James Pearce Jr. -

We have the QB. I would probably draft for DL. It worked for them in 1985 with the selection of #78 or I would entertain trading the pick and see what teams are willing to give up. The Bills desperately need a game changer on the DL. We have the QB. I would probably draft for DL. Hockey is my second favorite sport. Playoff hockey especially when you get OT in the playoffs is so much fun to watch. Even though I am an Isles fan I do hope the Sabres turn it around. Sabres fans deserve playoff hockey as it's been a long time since playoff hockey was played in Buffalo

Looks like the Vikings are out. It looks like it will either be the Steelers or Giants. https://www.nfl.com/news/vikings-not-pursuing-aaron-rodgers-rejected-trade-calls-surrounding-jj-mccarthy

You see it in college. Every QB runs and they have designed runs for them in the running game. That is carrying over into the NFL today.
-
Retractable roof is better. The option to have the stadium open during the nice weather games and closed for the bad weather games. Doesn't matter as the Bills aren't getting a dome or retractable roof.
-
True. We all know why the Bills aren't getting a dome or retractable roof. The costs are more than expected without one.
-
Different game back then. You didn't have designed runs for QBs like you see today. Just about every QB in college runs now. Elway would run to avoid the rush or if the play broke down, he would run to pick up the first down. He was considered a running QB from his era, but it was nothing like today's game.
-
In a perfect world the Bills would have a new stadium with a retractable roof. The weather for many of the games in Sept and Oct is nice. Even Nov isn't that bad if it doesn't rain. As it gets colder, and you get those games with rain, wind, and snow then that is the only time a dome is really needed.

We still have over a month until the draft. April 24th - 26th.
-
As he gets older, he won't run nearly as much. Think of Elway. Different game back then but John could run and scramble to avoid the rush. As he got older, he settled in as a pocket passer only. Having Davis as his RB helped a lot.

I think everyone enjoys watching Allen play as he is a special player, but it will be very disappointing if the Bills don't win a Super Bowl with him. Fair or not critics will say Allen is overrated as he can't win the big one. Even though he is not the reason the Bills can't win a championship.

Wild Card Round and Divisional Round. Football all day and night on both Saturday and Sunday.

Especially the home schedule. With so many good opponents coming to OP I doubt Highmark sees to many 1:00 games next season.
