Exactly. Until the Bills have a defense that can show up in the playoffs and play well then, they will never make the Super Bowl much less win one. I expect Beane to use most of his picks on defense this draft. I am sure he will go for a WR as well, but defense is the priority.

I know it's very early, but the pitching is a concern. Last night up 9-3 in the top of the 7th and they give up a grand slam. Still won 9-7 but at some point, the bats will cool off over the course of 162 and the pitching will have to pick up the slack. This falls on Beane to bring more elite level talent in to help Josh. With the exception of #17 who else at the skill positions is elite. Cook is probably the closest one to elite, but he isn't on the level of Barkley and Henry. While the Bills have some nice receivers, they have nobody that scares the opposing defense. At the same time the defense has been a big problem in the playoffs. With the exception of the Ravens game from a few years back when they had the pick 6, I can't recall a playoff game where they played well. Talent and scheme are both to blame. That falls on both Beane and McDermott.

Watching football for me on Christmas is not a problem as everyone in the family are football fans. Most are Jets fans which leads to some trash talking as I am a Bills fan. So, the game is always on the TV during the holidays.

Poor NBA. Christmas was their day just like Thanksgiving is the NFL's. But football being the most popular sport in America can do whatever they want. The NBA, MLB, and NHL are all second rate compared to the NFL. Even college football is huge especially in the south.

Mougey and Glenn will get the honeymoon period this year. But after year 3 and things still haven't gotten better than both of them will get the boot. Same as every other GM/HC they have had lately.
