  1. Hip, according to reports yesterday.
  2. Thanks for the write-up. Always enjoy them.
  3. Pickens OUT for Steelers vs. Browns per ESPN.
  4. Here's the link: https://wapo.st/3Z9cGcN Some excerpts: In ways both obvious and unseen, Allen epitomizes what it means to be an NFL franchise quarterback. He throws military-grade passes and scrambles like a hurricane. He also organizes remote offseason workouts, calls players-only strategy sessions, picks up the tab at celebratory dinners, makes post-practice tee times and hosted the team’s Halloween party. At 28, Allen has mastered the delicate art of being both The Man and one of the guys. Knox said. “I don’t know anyone else that can do it like he does. I can’t imagine the type of pressure and stress he has to deal with. The way he does it is just mind-blowing. He hasn’t changed one bit in terms of just being a good dude. I don’t know how that’s possible with what he has to deal with. Each week during offseason practices, Allen took a new trio of teammates out for rounds of golf, his offseason obsession. He made intentional choices to bridge different ages and positions — one nine-hole round included Shakir, backup quarterback Shane Buechele and third-year linebacker Terrel Bernard. He has received extensive criticism for his interceptions and countless chances to explain them away, to snap just once and fault a wideout’s mistake. He has not done it. “We all know guys, even when they don’t directly point fingers, you read between the lines,” Beane said. “Josh never even gives you anything between the lines.
  5. Poyer also fined $11,193 for hit on Coleman. And cornerback Cam Smith fined $8,874 for horse collar, although I don't recall if that was flagged at the time.
  6. Two more practice squad members: Davidson (TE), Dean (WR)
  7. Geno had an INT too. And didn't he have a messed up pitch/handoff that Walker ran down and turned into a 5-yard gain, his longest of the day? And Seahawks got 0 points off Allen's pick while Bills turned Geno's pick into 7. Baffling.
  8. Guy is a terrible tackler, too. Avoids contact.
  9. If it hasn't already been mentioned, in August Adams called the Bills' fanbase one of the worst. Something about throwing snowballs. He may decline a trade to Buffalo.
  10. Thanks for the complete list.
  11. Bailey Zappe, Nate Sudfeld join ranks of unemployed QBs, according to PFT.
  12. Rochester D&C reports Javon Solomon left game with calf injury. Speculates team could red shirt him on IR. Have not seen any other reports on this injury.
  13. Gunner, your thoughts on Trubisky are spot on. Watching last night with my son, I said Mitch was good in preseason for the Bills in '21. Some thing happened to him in Pitt. He's playing scared.
  14. Joe B.'s list has 9 draft picks making the cut: Coleman, Bishop, Van Pran, Carter, Solomon, Hardy, Grable, Davis and Ulofashio. If this holds, Bills getting a lot younger.
  15. Don't know how refs didn't call PI on Kohou on Bills 1st drive. He had his arms wrapped around Knox at goal line before pass arrived. Josh threw a pick on next play.
  16. Javon Solomon is only player listed as EDGE on the roster. Not making a big deal out of it, but it is a little curious.
  17. Thanks for the post, and for assembling the stats. You did what the lazy ESPN or NFL NETWORK or whatever "reporter" failed to do. Get a clear unbiased look at ALL the numbers. That's what is wrong with most "reporting" these days. Start with an assumption, then cook the numbers to back it up.
  18. Side note: watched last season's 2nd Bills-Jets game last night (needed a Bills fix). Sauce Gardiner holds or makes illegal contact on every single play. He's as bad as Dolphins' Kohou, who does get flagged.
  19. Dec. 20, 1980. Jets vs. Dolphins. NBC tried it to boost ratings for two teams out of playoff contention.
  20. Agree. I think Beane & Co. liked Teller but had no room for him on active roster. Rather than put him on practice squad, and have another team poach him, they opted for a 6th (?) Rounder from the Browns.
  21. I'm hopeful about new additions too. But I was hopeful about Sherfield and Harty at this time last year. Here's to a better result this season.
  22. Not a bad alternative, especially if Cook's dropsies and fumbles become an issue.
  23. If 5 members of this year's draft class make the roster, that's 5 cost-controlled contracts for 4 years. With the draft capital for 2025, Beane can continue to make the roster younger and stronger. I know people are tired of hearing "wait til next year," but the reload is off to a great start.
