No I bring back Matt Milano because he has it. The ability to make plays something you can’t really coach you either got it or you don’t as a football player. Matt Milano injury was a great loss for the Buffalo Bills defense last year. Because Matt Milano is able to get through blocks to make plays on defense so yes I bring him back in my opinion. I disagree there will always be plenty of players to replace players that left for better NIL opportunities. I have been a Buffalo sports fan for 49 years and counting everyone players, coaches and fans come and go over the years. But everyone no matter who they are is replaceable and the game will continue to evolve and go on long after I am gone as a Buffalo sports fan. Eventually I will be replaced that is part of life. I am sure there were some New York Yankees fans back in the day saying what are the Yankees going to do with no Babe Ruth anymore? The reality Babe Ruth was replaced by the Yankees and carried on without missing Babe Ruth fans still went to Yankees games. So UB Bulls, the MAC and college football will be fine. UB Bulls can be 0-100 record record in the MAC and I am still a fan of the UB Bulls. I still watch the Canisius Golden Griffs basketball team every game yearly and they lose 20 plus games a year because I grew up with Little Three basketball double headers for $5 and free parking at Buffalo Memorial Auditorium as a kid. It makes no difference how bad the Griffs, Niagara Purple Eagles and St Bonaventure Bonnies are yearly it’s sports entertainment and fun. Relax UB Bulls and the MAC will be fine and everything will work itself out. Sports are suppose to be fun for the fans. Change happens in sports the Sun is going to come up tomorrow. Again nothing is forever and change happens. Power conference is made up by members of the national media. There was no such thing when I was growing up so I don’t get all caught up on Power conferences it’s totally made up. The PAC 12 breaking up has nothing to do with the MAC. Look at this way it’s just the old territory wrestling system going away in professional wrestling and professional wrestling went on and still does today. I could care less if the ACC collapsed if the conference breaks up it breaks up it has no baring on me as a Buffalo fan or UB Bulls fan. College football will still go on so what if players leave UB Bulls for the Power conference opportunities whatever the MAC can do the same thing to the best FCS conference players. There is basically always a way Pete Lembo isn’t worried he talked about that you lose some good players you go out and find new good players to replace them. Coaches that whine about the system or losing players are excuses for their lack of ability to adapt and should just retire like Jim Boeheim did. It was time when you whine about change it’s time to retire. Ok there are always going to be players that want a full ride to school and everything that comes with it. There are always going to be football coaches that want to be paid $725,000 a year for 5 years which is what UB Bulls paid head coach Pete Lembo. The bottom line all these schools will field football teams if there university chooses to. If you don’t like what is happening don’t go to the college football games no one is forcing you to go. If you are that against change don’t go to whatever school you root for if you are that unhappy. But the reality is most fans are going to go to the college football games for a fun time to enjoy leisurely time. I went to UB Bulls football games for 30 plus years until my health prevents me today from going to games today as a season ticket holder it doesn’t matter if the UB Bulls sucked for years when they first went to the FBS MAC it’s $125 for the season for 6 home games and free parking 10 minutes from my house. Most UB Bulls fans are going to just go and I would think that applies to the other schools fans. It’s sports entertainment not something serious like one’s health that one should be upset about. Change always happens some good some bad but sports are going on and I don’t see that changing college football will be fine. The Buffalo Sabres have been bad for 13 years for many reasons including economic changes in the NHL but Buffalo Sabres fans still go to games and will continue to go to games because it’s a night out and sports entertainment regardless of the increasing costs to go to NHL hockey games fans still go and will continue to go to games regardless of what the players and coaches make in my opinion. No it didn’t the players deserve to get paid for putting their body on the line every week. The only thing it hurt was some blue blood schools like Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State’s of the college football world that wanted to keep everything the way it was. With only a select few blue blood football programs playing yearly in a 4 team college football playoff where the players got nothing money wise. I disagree it’s bad for NFL owners and cities like the Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns and Green Bay Packers to name a few that are in crappy markets that players wish to avoid in the NFL draft. NIL allows players to not come out to small crappy markets especially if you are playing in Los Angeles at USC or UCLA why would I want to go to Green Bay? Plus it’s going to drive NFL costs up which gets passed onto the NFL fans. If I have NIL endorsement deals for millions of dollars and selling my own autographed merchandise why do I need Green Bay Packers or the NFL to do that anymore? If I made millions in NIL endorsement deals I might choose to not play in the NFL at all. Especially if I value my long term health future because the NFL owners don’t care about that just their own personal greed in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

This helps UMass far more than it helps the MAC or UB. They were smart because if you don’t pay FBS football in a conference with College Playoff access the 200 plus basketball schools that don’t you will be left behind. The Atlantic 10 Conference was once a two bid conference now it’s a one bid conference. At some point the 200 basketball schools outside of the 100 plus football schools aren’t going to get the spots in the NCAA basketball tournament because of the football money and the NIL widening the gap between the 100 plus football schools and the 200 plus basketball schools that don’t get to share any college football playoff television money. UMass like UB has a slim but atleast it’s a slim chance of the College Football Playoff access now. As an independent UMass didn’t have that. UMass had two choices drop football and make a push for the Big East Conference which I don’t think was available or join the MAC. As for UConn I think they get into a better conference than the MAC because they won national championships in college basketball. I think UConn drops football and stay in the Big East Conference before they join the MAC. There is a huge difference between the Big East Conference and the Atlantic 10 Conference and also between UMass and UConn as basketball programs in my opinion. UB Horns Up! Go Bulls! Chuck Dickerson was entertaining like professional wrestling and made sports talk radio on WGR 550 something you wanted to listen to when you were stuck in your car in traffic. That is what too many people today don’t understand today. They take themselves too seriously and it is boring to watch or listen to or to be around. This current generation are the most boring non fun generation in my life time of 56 years and counting. WGR 550 is unlistenable the entire station have boring people that aren’t going anywhere in their radio careers because they are boring to listen to but there too dumb to understand that and think there good. Think Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane yes they win games but they are very boring people personality wise and can only get you to a certain level. And no I wouldn’t want to go to dinner or share stories with Sean McDermott or Brandon Beane because they would tell you nothing and are incredibly boring people add Terry Pegula to that list of incredibly boring people. Regardless of how successful and how much money they have they are boring. Professional wrestling today is very boring it’s a reflection on our society of no fun people. Rest in peace Chuck Dickerson you were entertaining and fun. That is what life should be about once in a while. Look Buffalo Bills fans have no stones to tell the truth and how it is in New York State for 50 plus years it’s corruption. What do you want Buffalo Bills fans to say? We Buffalo Bills fans that actually do this thing called thinking said it as soon as this Buffalo Bills open air stadium was announced in Orchard Park. I got suspended twice for telling it how it is. There is no point it’s been decided by corrupt to the core people in charge. Regardless of where the stadium is for that kind of money it should be domed with the ability to close the upper deck for smaller concerts and events. There should be a winter festival and events year round in a climate controlled dome. We were sold a bill of goods because this is what Terry Pegula and the political leaders wanted. Look at the new Buffalo Bills stadium as tribute to the corrupt government politicians and their friends like the old Mafia to basically steal from the working class people. If you understand that you wouldn’t be wondering why not in New York State a dome. New York City’s two baseball stadium are crap for the money they cost and they aren’t retractable domes either. Face it New York State is corrupt that is why it’s losing population to the Sun Belt and Southwestern states with no real hope. Western New York is growing poorer not wealthier. New York City stadiums sucks compared to Los Angeles. Newsflash the Big Apple is the rotten Apple today compared to when my mother grew up in 1940’s, 1950’s and 1960’s Brooklyn when New York City was strong and a world class city now it’s a shell of what it use to be. The New York State political leadership is corrupt they let both the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Baseball Giants walk out the door. They also let the New York Football Giants and New York Jets walk out the door. Who does that? Oakland and? It’s not like it isn’t obvious our state is corrupt and doesn’t understand economics to grow our Western New York area. The Brooklyn Dodgers in Brooklyn today would be the the Chicago Cubs worth billions of dollars to the neighborhoods of Brooklyn. Brooklyn was suppose to get the first dome stadium ever in 1955 it was proposed by Walter O’Malley you can thank the very corrupt Robert Moses for that not happening. If that stadium was built the New York Jets would have been most likely the Brooklyn Jets and Brooklyn Dodgers in that Brooklyn Dome Stadium. The New York Mets aren’t the Brooklyn Dodgers they aren’t even the New York Baseball Giants when it comes to success and history in New York City baseball with the late great John McGraw. The New York Mets in Queens Shea Stadium is what Robert Moses wanted the Brooklyn Dodgers to move to. So Joe Namath would have been a Brooklyn Jets not Queens New York Jets. Nashville was once a hick town compared to 1950’s Buffalo is booming today same with Vegas, Seattle, Miami, Tampa, Charlotte and fill in the blank city. There is no point there are too many people that like Western New York exactly as it is struggling economically being lead around and told how to conduct their own personal business by state leaders. People don’t care because it’s too hard for them to think for themselves they look for political leaders and television personalities for help with there everyday life decisions. That is why they run out to reelect crooks yearly the same corrupt to the core politicians because it’s easier to do instead of thinking because that is hard for people today. A winter weather forecast shutdowns people’s minds today it’s to hard for them to handle like the world is going to end it’s ridiculous. It is what it is and it’s getting worse not better so I would just give up on the new Buffalo Bills stadium it’s going to be a glorified Highmark stadium with very limited potential and shelf life compared to Highmark Stadium it will be renovated or replaced in less than 20 years so it just doesn’t matter really anymore Western New York is going to be backwards, poor economically and losing forever unfortunately. Western New York economic business model is take what you can get a open air stadium, a terrible Buffalo Sabres hockey team and like it more suffering. Former Buffalo Sabres GM Darcy Reiger summed up rebuilding the Buffalo Sabres that can apply to Western New York perfectly economically more suffering for the Sabres at the time and failing to win championships year after year in my opinion. Wrong as a Buffalo Bulls fan the Buffalo Bills incompetence drove me towards UB Bulls football way before Terry Pegula and the Bills Mafia fools came on the scene. UB Bulls football is like the Buffalo Bisons and Buffalo Bandits a success because of the economics are what Western New York can compete against today. We didn’t need Maurice Linquist he was an idiot who drove the program into the ground. There isn’t much difference between Maurice Linquist and Sean McDermott. At least Maurice Linquist won UB Bulls one bowl game as incompetent as he was as a head coach. What did Sean McDermott incompetence win? Sean McDermott should have been fired after .13 seconds. The Buffalo Bills can build whatever they want stadium wise and the reality is until Western New York improves economically we aren’t winning a Super Bowl or a Stanley Cup today. Too many Bills and Sabres fans just don’t understand how that works economically you big or you go home in major league sports. As a Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan I made peace with that decades ago when all the population and industry moved out of Western New York. Western New York biggest problem was bending over for New York City guidance when it came to economic development and decisions. Once the population left and the Canadian businesses left like Loblaws and Swiss Chalet places like that left Western New York, Buffalo was a mess we lost our autonomy and freedom economically. Western New York leaders are still nuts today talking about improving Western New York on channel 2 television last week. I thought where did that idiot come from talking about joining up with Syracuse and Rochester who cares they are as broke as Buffalo that accomplishes very little. We need to forget New York State and create better relationships with Southern Ontario like our forefathers. When Western New York let New York State in the hen house economically with every major decision on business and development it was all downhill economically. The nerve that Western New York has to get permission from New York City/Albany to make our Western New York area economically viable is the definition of insanity. UB Bulls will continue to go to bowls and win because Western New York can compete economically with Akron and Toledo of the MAC. Pete Lembo is one smart cookie he will be very successful here at UB. He sees the building going on with UB football that performance center privately built for $7 1/2 million dollars is going to be used as a recruiting tool in the MAC. We don’t have to out recruit SEC or Big Ten Conference schools we are a MAC team. Too many Buffalonians are clueless they think cutting corners and being satisfied with a half built new stadium is taking the Bills to the Super Bowl. It isn’t that stadium screams Buffalo doesn’t belong in the NFL anymore if they can’t even afford to build a state of the art stadium without going all home town cheap discount. That stadium should have been built in the city of Buffalo for economic reasons especially Toronto/Southern Ontario fans. PSE has been real secretive about what is going to be in that new stadium because the Bills don’t even know. The Bills goal is just build anything and have Bills Mafia fools show up regardless of winning which is sad. UB Bulls have no such problems they win bowl games they don’t choke like the Bills. I am content with all UB Bulls MAC bowls 3 wins and counting. 5 Buffalo Bandits championships. The Buffalo Bisons are the class of Western New York sports franchises they have like 14 or 15 championships since 1877, 3 championships on my watch alone. It’s different when you win nobody can take that from you as a Buffalo fan. Unless you go back to the Buffalo Bills AFL football days or Buffalo Bisons AHL hockey days as a Buffalo fan you don’t know what that is like. Present day Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fans have seen nothing that isn’t the same as UB Bulls football, the Bisons baseball or Bandits lacrosse. I have followed both the Bills and Sabres for 49 years and counting there both horribly run organizations that can’t find there fanny with either hand. Regardless of the owner it makes no difference because both Ralph Wilson and Terry Pegula are cheap and are incompetent running a championship level sports franchise. UB Bulls football doesn’t have to deal with that nonsense of cheapness and begging New York City/Albany for money to exist it’s embarrassing. So it’s apples and oranges UB Bulls football does things privately with the UB donors. I proud New York State wants no part of big time college athletics it means UB Bulls are on the right path of winning championships. As a UB Bulls fan I am not held hostage by horrible cheap ownership, bad management and begging New York State like Bills and Sabres fans so there is a huge difference night and day in my opinion. For me as a Buffalo Bills fan was the Bills Toronto Series and the reaction by our local politicians, business community sucking up to the Bills Ralph Wilson. Once that happened I realized it is never going to happen for Western New York economically. Some leaders willingly offering half the Bills schedule to Toronto. If Terry Pegula is as smart as you think he is Buffalo wouldn’t have a Buffalo Sabres team sucking for 13 straight years and the Buffalo Bills with another open air stadium built in the middle of nowhere economically. I don’t think Terry Pegula is all that smart. He is smart enough to get on billionaire owners welfare from the state that is about it. He is one of the worst owners Buffalo has ever had if it wasn’t for John Rigas and John Y. Brown Terry Pegula would be the worst owner. I have zero again zero respect or regard for Terry Pegula the owner as a Buffalo sports fan. If he sold all his Buffalo sports teams tomorrow good riddance. A Buffalo championship isn’t changing that either because Terry Pegula won a championship with the Buffalo Bandits and I still feel the same way about Terry Pegula. Terry Pegula is one of many things wrong with Buffalo and Western New York. Unfortunately Buffalo gets stuck with these shortsighted, cheap, corrupt and eccentric people in charge. There is something off with Terry Pegula eccentric “Howard Hughes” like with both New York State Kathy Hochul and Erie County executive Mark Poloncarz are both corrupt not acting in Western New York’s best long term interests none of these people are all that smart in my opinion. I got over the Buffalo Bills loss right after it happened. The Bills did it to themselves like they always do since 1965. It is what it is onto the Buffalo Bandits and the Buffalo Bisons. There are other things to do I have had that mind set since I was 7 years old. The Bills are just one of many Buffalo teams I follow locally they aren’t more special than any other Buffalo sports team. But I am the wrong Bills fan to ask. I can enjoy and cheer on the Bonnies and the Big 4 teams just the same as the Bills. I find Buffalo fan that follows other teams are happier overall. There is no reason to be upset or down about any one sports team when Buffalo has so many wonderful sports teams to follow if one is open to such a concept of sports beyond the Buffalo Bills in my opinion. First Detroit and Cleveland have won undisputed major national championships. Buffalo hasn’t so I wouldn’t put Detroit and Cleveland in the same category as Buffalo. Cleveland Cavaliers won with LeBron James. Buffalo is in a category by itself. The Bills losing to Kansas City Chiefs in 1966 for the right to go to the first Super Bowl. Bob Lanier hurting his knee tripping over Villainova’s Chris Ford in 1970 when the Bonnies went to the NCAA Basketball Tournament Final Four. The Sabres losing in the Stanley Cup finals in 1975 and 1999. The Bills Joe Ferguson hurting his ankle costing the 1980 Bills team against the San Diego Chargers. The 1990’s Bills four Super Bowl losses, 13 seconds and now Wide Right we are in a catagory by ourselves. I don’t believe in curses Buffalo just didn’t get it done maybe next season in my opinion. First of all let’s lay off both these kickers the Buffalo Bills win and lose as a team. The Scott Norwood and Tyler Bass missed kicks aren’t the same. Scott Norwood kick was to win Super Bowl 25. Even if Tyler Bass makes the kick it only ties the game and Kansas City Chiefs have the football. I don’t think the Bills were good enough this season too many defensive injuries sunk this team in the end defensively. Super Bowl 25 our offense played terrible that is why the Bills didn’t win Super Bowl 25. Scott Norwood should never have been put in that situation. The Bills were better than the New York Giants 99 times out of 100 and unfortunately the Bills played that one time game out of 100 games costing the Bills Super 25 in my opinion. Go Bills! If that happens to be the case I wonder if the Buffalo Bills are the first event or if they are going to schedule some concerts before the Bills preseason? It doesn’t matter what Sean McDermott excuses are the bottom line he failed against Andy Reid again. If Andy Reid retires and Sean McDermott wants the Kansas City Chiefs head coaching job he should take it. Sean McDermott problem is he has been here in Buffalo too long and eventually the message of repeating the same tired coaching cliches gets old. I just think if Sean McDermott fails next season it is best he moves on from the Buffalo Bills organization. I still think Sean McDermott is best suited as a college head football coach like Penn State they need a head coach since they can’t beat Michigan or Ohio State. Maybe Penn State alum Terry Pegula can point Sean McDermott there. Maybe but more likely Bill Belichick commands $25 million dollars a year. The wealthy in general are very cheap compared to a working class people that is one of the reasons they are wealthy. They use other people’s money over their own. Again in general terms. I think it’s a little of that, a little of Bill Belichick gets paid next year by the New England Patriots $25 million dollars weather he works or not. And don’t discount Bill Belichick might be trying to get GM power and bring his son in like the Patriots. That could turn a NFL owner off. Wait a year there are going to be more desperate NFL owners and Bill Belichick will land somewhere for one more coaching job if he wants it. I think the Bills Mafia are the best fans in the NFL when it comes to travel. But to be fair Buffalo has an advantage in that half our fan base moved to other parts of the country during the 1980’s and beyond. That is where NFL fans get it wrong with Buffalo and why the Bills are still in Buffalo. If you look at Western New York population now hell no we aren’t a NFL city anymore. But half our population is around other parts of the country. And they buy the Bills merchandise and travel to Bills games that is the part of the equation NFL fans miss. So when they say why St Louis, San Diego and Oakland moved but not Buffalo. Part is the public money but part is whatever numbers the NFL needs the Buffalo Bills meet that part satisfactory to the NFL owners or the Bills would be moved public money or not in my opinion. Major upgrade for the Buffalo Bulls. If you can win a Buffalo press conference Pete Lembo won the UB Bulls press conference. Everything he said sounded good a major improvement over Maurice Linquist. One word of caution through about my judgment with coaches Pete Lembo is from my generation. I am three years older than Pete Lembo so of course he is going to appeal to me over the younger Maurice Linquist.
