Terry Pegula is too cheap to pay for a quality head coach not even worth talking about because it’s fantasy like a dome stadium ever being built in Buffalo or a playoff Buffalo Sabres team again in Buffalo. Guess who One Buffalo and Hockey Heaven what a con man owner Terry Pegula is sell the teams. It all starts at the top Terry Pegula and he is over the moon with Sean McDermott he won a 4th AFC East championship which meant 2 home playoff games. The Buffalo Bills season has been the same for me as a Bills fan for 49 years and counting a failure. If you don’t win the championship your season is a failure. The Buffalo Bandits won a championship in 2023 there season was a success see how that works Bills Mafia. It doesn’t mean we all don’t have great memories watching the Buffalo sports teams over the years. But the golly gee wiz the Bills are 4 time defending AFC East champs doesn’t mean a hill of beans when you come up short in the playoffs. I could care less what the Bills excuses are on locker room clean out day they failed now get off your buts and acquire better players. When the Bills lost last night I thought of two things Pete Lembo gets introduced as UB Bulls football new head coach Tuesday at noon there is some actual hope there. And two the Buffalo Bisons start there baseball season March 29. I have no time to cry over the Bills that continue to come up small in big games with a cheap owner with no guts or clue to do anything to correct the situation. Same for Terry Pegula’s hockey team the Buffalo Sabres that are a complete failure that quit on there season again. Both teams need major roster overhauls I would trade Tage Thompson and Alex Tuch in the offseason for the Sabres. As for the Bills they need to get younger defensively. I would say goodbye to Poyer, Hyde, Miller and Tre White too many injuries he will never be the same unfortunately very sad what happened to him with injuries. Stefon Diggs needs to be gone you can’t drop that ball enough with his act he take it some place else. The punter Martin is gone if it is my call selfish player to play in that game no way he could barely walk he put the rest of the game at risk for the Bills with his terrible punts because he put himself before the team. Martin needed to tell the coach I can’t go because I would do more harm than good but Martin chose not to think of the rest of his teammates which is unfortunate bye, bye. Along with Tyler Bass no way should you miss that field goal that badly. It isn’t just that one kick Bass has been shaky for a while bye, bye onto next season for the Bills in my opinion. Go Bills! Sean McDermott is here for a while because Terry Pegula already got his owners Super Bowl of $850 million dollars that is all that matters to Terry Pegula. Terry Pegula is never going to spend what it takes to make either the Buffalo Bills or Buffalo Sabres champions it’s just not going to happen. They exist in Buffalo and that is about it. I have seen this Buffalo sports show for 49 years as a Buffalo sports fan and counting nothing changes but the year. Like that is going to happen with cheap Terry Pegula running our Buffalo sports teams? Those coaches command $25 million a season. Terry Pegula can’t even plow out his stadium last week because he is cheap. Mr Pegula I love outdoor football but he sits in a heated luxury box weekly he is a phony. He loves outdoor football because it’s cheap. No way is Terry Pegula ever hiring a $25 million dollar a season head coach. We are stuck with this five and ten owner and doomed for these results yearly just like when Ralph Wilson owned the Bills. The bottom line is there is a reason that the Kansas City Chiefs are Super Bowl champions and the Buffalo Bills are contenders but not championship level good enough. Bills fans have to get it out of their heads that the Buffalo weather is going to get the Bills anywhere the Chiefs just beat us in our home stadium with the wind and the Buffalo weather because they are champions that is what champions do. Champions don’t need to rely on weather and tricks they just go out and beat you regardless of the adversity that you face during the season. Because the bottom line the Super Bowl isn’t hosted in Buffalo. The Bills flat out aren’t good enough compared to the Chiefs. You don’t suddenly get leadership? Maurice Linquist was never going to be good enough to be a head coach or a leader of a Division I football program. He is a assistant coach like former Buffalo Bills assistant coach Chuck Lester someone has to get Marv Levy and Chuck Dickerson coffee with no pressure which is fine that is what Maurice Linquist is Chuck Lester making the coaches coffee and donuts runs. Maurice Linquist isn’t a leader of men you don’t suddenly get that. You are a born leader or you aren’t good riddance he sucked as the UB Bulls head coach it saved UB $1.925 million over the next 3 years. UB Bulls also gets $750,000 buyout from Alabama for the UB Bulls version of the “Water Boy” oh I mean “Coffee Boy” because that is what Maurice Linquist is at Alabama. Yes a well paid coffee boy with no real decision making power. No one with any belief in themselves is giving up a head coaching job for an assistant coaching position it’s absurd unless you know deep down your not cut out to be a head coach which is fine good riddance in my opinion. So you are saying that the Buffalo Bills have 17 years left in Western New York after this season? Because taxpayers don’t want to pay but they are ok as one of many examples letting Madison Square Garden owners not pay taxes on MSG for 50 plus years? When are New York State residents like yourself going to get the taxes aren’t going down ever in New York State? The New York State political leaders sell taxpayers on lots of stuff they are spending the taxpayers money regardless so this whole new stadium situation with savings is a joke. Western New York is never changing in a positive economic growth with there cheap mentality we aren’t saving it’s going to eventually cost us more money down the road than if we did the stadium right to begin with. The Buffalo Bills should have built a downtown stadium in the late 1990’s when Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Cincinnati were doing that instead cheap renovations. Now we are left with the another Orchard Park open air stadium with a canopy that has never been done or tested in a snow belt like Buffalo sorry Seattle, London and Miami aren’t Buffalo weather. Your asking us to believe in a 70 plus year old owner that lives in Florida and two lawyers turned politicians in the Governor and Erie County executive what could go wrong? History tends to repeat itself this Highmark Stadium 2 decision is going to be just like all the Highmark Stadium 1 renovations in the 1990’s costly in the long run to the taxpayers there will be no savings kicking the can down the road it cost way more than if we did it right now. I have no idea other than Murray maybe better at pass protection. With Fournette Josh Allen can get you a yard with a quarterback sneak so his skill set Josh Allen can do so the Buffalo Bills go with Murray. But I have no idea it’s just a guess. Because I am not a qualified football or hockey coach I am just a fan of both those sports. My coaching expertise is in baseball and basketball where I could talk more in depth about why something is done just being honest telling it like it is. I don’t take the rest of this state with polls seriously. Albany should talk they had a new arena before Buffalo Marine Midland Arena with no major league tenant. Buffalo Memorial Auditorium was so dated it was a WPA project. Here is a little known fact about Buffalo before Rich Stadium was built we had the distinction of not having any state money Stadium and Arenas with three major league sports teams the Buffalo Bills NFL at War Memorial Stadium a WPA project, the Buffalo Sabres NHL and Buffalo Braves NBA at Memorial Auditorium a WPA project until Rich Stadium was built. I don’t want to hear about New York State downstate we pay a lot of taxes with the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres pay up in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

No UB didn’t like the idea to play in the new Buffalo Bills stadium in Orchard Park that was too far away from there campus for there students. That is when the UB AD Mark Alnutt said UB would rather renovate UB Stadium then play in Orchard Park. Andrew Cuomo then New York State Governor said UB North Campus was a nonstarter when the Buffalo Bills mentioned that as one of the potential stadium sites. So basically a downstate New Yorker Cuomo was telling Western New Yorkers what is good for them. That sums up the problems between Downstate and Upstate for over 50 years of distrust. UB the school never nixed the idea of a new Buffalo Bills/UB Bulls stadium at UB North Campus or Downtown Buffalo with a extended subway. The problem why the new Buffalo Bills stadium will never be anything more than now is because it’s isolated to one part of the Southtowns Orchard Park. Great for the Southtowns Orchard Park and surrounding areas but not so great for getting the majority of the Western New York population to events beyond the weekends like NFL football or an occasional concert. Even if the stadium was domed with hypothetically a Buffalo team in one of these leagues MLB, NBA or MLS the Buffalo team would fail slowly in a bad way see Arizona Coyotes NHL playing in Glendale. Glendale works for Arizona Cardinals NFL once a week type of thing like the Buffalo Bills in Orchard Park. Anything beyond a NFL football game or weekend concert would definitely fail overtime because Orchard Park isn’t centrally located and isn’t easy to get to 2 or 3 times a week during a MLB, NBA or MLS season. Even UB Bulls in potentially in the Big Ten Conference would fail in Orchard Park see Miami Hurricanes at the Miami Dolphins stadium it isn’t centrally located like the old Orange Bowl in Miami. Bottom line our city and county planning is terrible. I doubt our local leaders got into these discussions as much as this Bills board which is really sad but what can you do it is what it is they were all voted in again overwhelmingly. But to think that new Bills stadium is going to have more events than now is just ridiculous it’s not happening. Buffalo is having a severe problem today driving 25 minutes to the city to see the Buffalo Sabres other than Friday, Saturday and Sunday there not driving 45 minutes to one hour to new events at the new Bills stadium on a Tuesday or Wednesday night. Buffalo Super Fan are you saying Buffalo fans are soft compared to your day? No the problem is why bother when the games are all on HD television or streaming. Back in my day you went to the game in person or you were out of luck it’s the radio there were only like 20 Sabres games on television back in the day in my opinion. Go Bills! Go Bulls! Go Sabres! As a Buffalonian I have a major problem with Buffalo can’t afford a dome stadium because we are too poor yet lowly Syracuse has had a dome stadium for 40 plus years and New York State helped pay for a private school not even part of SUNY. While both our football teams the Buffalo Bills and UB Bulls have crapy outdoor stadiums from another time with cost cutting and savings. We are the second largest city in this state. Regardless of what some on this board want to believe the money was there and Buffalo chose a half a loaf instead of the whole loaf. We saw it over and over with both Pilot Field and Key Bank Center with half the elevators cut from the final design. And Buffalo paid the price with major delays with the elevators for the disabled which I happen to be a disabled fan. Buffalo Bills fans shouldn’t be silence for telling it like it is. The story was made up about no money for a dome and Orchard Park was the only logical place. Just admit it folks we were all lied too. I am ok with the new Bills stadium but I am not ok with the parroting talking points of the Bills and our political leaders that flat out lied to this community. While New York City has spared no expense for the new Islanders arena, the Nets arena, New York City FC new soccer specific stadium, two ball parks for the Yankees, Mets, the dome over the US Open Tennis Center and the total renovation of Belmont Park where the final length of the Horse Racing triple crown is held just to name a few. Mean while in Buffalo we are cutting cost on a 50 year project of a new Bills stadium and of course UB Stadium still has a track around it only one other FBS stadium in country is left after UB Stadium that has a track around the football field along with a lite brite scoreboard from another time. But all is wonderful, wonderful in Western New York sports land in my opinion. Go Bills! Go Bulls! Let’s Go Buffalo

The reason why a dome? A dome wouldn’t have an effect canceling the Buffalo Bills game either way. Agreed. But with a dome with field turf you won’t need shovelers and two you can play the game with no fans. Grass field in a Buffalo open air stadium is one of the worst ideas ever for the Buffalo Bills. Look outside tomorrow Bills fans and ask yourself if natural grass is such good idea in Buffalo December and January weather over field turf ridiculous but what do I know? I have only lived in Buffalo my whole life of 56 years and counting. See War Memorial Stadium, UB Stadium completely got rid of there natural grass for field turf there season ends in November and Sahlen’s Field. Sahlen’s Field as the baseball season has started earlier and ending later and later is having issues with grass and canceling home Buffalo Bisons games in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

That isn’t accurate according to the new stadium show the Buffalo Bills did for YouTube Terry Pegula was quoted that the NFL owners questioned another open air stadium in Buffalo in league meetings? So it wasn’t the NFL owners this is what Terry Pegula wanted and some of the Bills season ticket holders wanted. It also helped it was the cheapest option. I don’t see Buffalo ever building another football only stadium ever again after this stadium with the way the general public feels about enriching billionaire sports owners this is it. The new stadium will be one of the best future CFL stadiums because that is where Buffalo is heading. You don’t need a dome when the CFL season ends at Thanksgiving which is weather wise more conducive to Western New York weather and wallet. Most likely the Casino will own the team or the Jacobs family or someone completely new on the scene in Western New York in the future. When this new Bills stadium ages out along with Terry Pegula I don’t see the Buffalo Bills staying in Buffalo anymore? Unless Western New York goes through a economic boom which I don’t see happening population is actually leaving New York State. The new open air stadium will fine for our Buffalo Wings the 10th franchise in the CFL. I am sure some Bills fans will be bitter but overtime time heels and you go to what you have in town. It will be like the Buffalo Bandits NLL lacrosse rivalries with Toronto, Hamilton, Montreal and Ottawa. Orchard Park location works well for the stadium because the land has no value if the stadium was in the downtown core you would risk losing the new stadium to land developers in the future. Nothing is ever happening in Orchard Park so when the new Bills stadium is 30 years old it will still be productive as a CFL stadium/concert venue. Just telling it like it is with our economics. The Buffalo Bills can win 7 Super Bowls with Josh Allen and it’s not stopping the shortcomings of Western New York economically plus factoring in so many cities want NFL franchises. If Western New York couldn’t afford a dome now it won’t be any better 30 years from now. Hope I am wrong but I am 56 years old so in 30 years it won’t affect me as a Bills fan enjoy the next 30 years it will be our last years in the NFL. But at the end of day so what the CFL is a good fun football league which is what sports are all about fun in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

I am more concerned that the Buffalo Sabres don’t have the right core to win a Stanley Cup right now. I don’t believe in Tage Thompson or Alex Tuch being Stanley Cup difference makers. If that is in deed the case then the Sabres have a whole lot of problems. I am not saying on a good team sure you want Tage Thompson and Alex Tuch but there not mentally tough enough to carry a team on there own. There both second line players not great main line players on a good team. I am leaning towards shaking everything up for the Buffalo Sabres trading both Tage Thompson and Alex Tuch in the offseason instead of firing Don Granato and Kevyn Adams. It’s too easy to keep firing coaches and general managers. Tage Thompson had a career year and there is a reason why the Vegas Golden Knights didn’t mind parting with Alex Tuch he isn’t a clutch player in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo

One of the worst coaching jobs out there this season to follow a legend like Bill Belichick. As a Buffalo Bills fan I like the Jerod Mayo hire it sets the New England Patriots back 10 years 5 years with Mayo screws ups and another 5 years for the next coach to undue the damage. The hire is basically the opposite of Bill Belichick so basically the Patriots team are going to be a country club for lazy players to collect a NFL check and never win much good luck with that. So basically the Patriots are the New York Jets another country club for lazy players now in the AFC East in the basement. I think Patriots owner Robert Kraft, the Patriots fans and the sports media are going to find out fast it wasn’t mean old Bill Belichick that was the problem with the Patriots it was the lazy players who coasted off past Patriots success of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Robert Kraft basically threw out Tom Brady and Bill Belichick who won 6 Super Bowls and completely cut them out of anything to do with the transition of the Patriots organization? Robert Kraft has gone senile if you ask me. Bills fans know how did that work out for the Bills when we changed Bills uniforms to Navy, excluded the 1990’s Bills from having much to do with the Bills. Remember the Gregg Williams and Tom Donahue years? It was a total failure and freak show excluding the Super Bowl Bills players from the organization. Today’s Patriots reminds a lot of those tough years for the Bills in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo
