  1. The simple fact they’re stuck with the same pass rush as last year with a worse secondary means Miller’s handful of TFL’s will be missed.
  2. How does this impact the franchise tag number?
  3. Big picture, yes, the front office, the coach, the culture, are upper echelon in the league and a galaxy removed from the drought years. But now’s not the time to wax poetic. The team’s primary issues are OL and secondary right now. Beane got duped by a washed Saffold in his contract year and overpaid/promoted Bates who looks to be better suited for spot duty. He neglected OL in the draft to the point of reaching for special teams LB in the third round! Also, he traded up for Elam who became a healthy scratch in the back half of the season. This team has to get over the hump. They deserve credit for building to this point, but there’s no free rides henceforth.
  4. MVP: Allen OPOY: Diggs DPOY: Poyer ROY: Cook Bust: Bernard Overrated: Dawkins Underrated: Morse Overachiever: Lawson Indispensable: Milano Disappointing: Davis, McKenzie, Knox, Saffold, Bates, Brown, Miller, Epenesa, Elam, Jackson (tie)
  5. ESPN radio is saying Tua is tracking to play according to their “insiders.”
  6. They didn’t play the game they were most likely to lose. This thread gets an asterisk.
  7. Allen has improved on taking stuff underneath. The long balls yesterday were actually a startling relief. A lot of those low percentage throws come from him pressing. He’s become a bit of a panic chucker behind an OL I don’t think he trusts.
  8. It’s not so much who deserves it but rather who shouldn’t get it. Chiefs wound up a half game in front of the Bills and a game+ ahead of the Bengals. Chiefs don’t get home field against the Bills and the Bengals couldn’t catch the Chiefs regardless. Not perfect, but the Chiefs don’t deserve the bye less than the Bills and Bengals don’t deserve it.
  9. Road schedule is tough!
  10. He’s not returning to a football field just 3-4 months after neck/disk surgery. No chance. Working on the sidelines was either part of his rehab or just staying connected to the team.
  11. 1. 49ers 2. Chiefs 3. Eagles 4. Bengals 5. Bills 6. Vikings 7. Jaguars 8. Cowboys 9. Chargers 10. Dolphins 11. Ravens 12. Giants 13. Seahawks 14. Bucs 15. Lions 16. Steelers 17. Packers 18. 12. Indeed. Rams got their championship. Trading all the draft picks was worth it despite a challenging rebuild going forward.
  13. The problem is that Houston doesn’t know what the Bears will do. Obviously, they’re not taking a QB (possibly Will Anderson). If Houston is set on BY, they may have to offer picks in order to prevent another team from trading ahead of them. Winning today was killer.
  14. It’s zzzz because it’s the final weekend not because it’s game 17. Game 16 was often zzzz because so many players sit for different reasons.
  15. Good thought. That never occurred to me.
  16. I don’t aspire to be offended, but yeah, that one is odd. Lost their head for a moment.
  17. Indeed. Earning the #2 seed is fitting without having to play the Bengals. Not ideal, but fitting. No asterisks. No excuses. Bills have everything in front of them. And a fortunate AFC championship scenario to boot.
  18. Well yeah, given how the Bills have looked lately. Bottom line is the Dolphins are the most talented team, and create the toughest matchups, of any of the teams the Bills could play next weekend.
  19. There’s no doubt about it. Hill and Waddle will run wild on this secondary.
