  1. They deserve to be excited at the moment.
  2. Bills lose the bye because they didn’t play the Bengals. So be it. They have a tremendous opportunity tomorrow and still a fair and manageable path. Everything in its right place.
  3. They have no reason to compete. Several other teams have 6 wins and they should protecting their draft pick.
  4. Perhaps. It’s true the Bengals aren’t the Bears and the way they came out of the gate is far more meaningful. Going into that game, the Bengals had the longest odds of achieving the #1 seed. So it’s hard reality the way the league had to balance this for them.
  5. He’s the MVP. Complimenting him is not offensive.
  6. McDermott has not won a road playoff game. Potentially two home games and a neutral site champ game is still huge HUGE tomorrow.
  7. They should pull Jacobs so he’s healthy for the Bills next year.
  8. 4th thread to criticize posts on other teams’ forums.
  9. They should be throwing this game. Have to lock into a top 10 pick for a shot at QB #3.
  10. Objectivity is not allowed.
  11. Or if Allen didn’t fumble a QB sneak into his own end zone with the game won.
  12. They benefitted, but they weren’t “handed” anything. They’re 14-3.
  13. This playoff format is red meat to a wolf. Chiefs are locked in.
  14. Keep the faith. I’m hearing the temp inside Allegiant is 69 degrees. 6 and 9 are multiples of 3!!
  15. Mahomes is the best overall and most accomplished by any measure. Allen is an athletic powerhouse but book-ended two incredible playoff games with two incredibly inconsistent seasons. He’s still erratic. Burrow is the best pure passer with a Super Bowl appearance under his belt. Rank order is tough. Fair arguments can be made for Burrow and Allen in either order behind Mahomes - followed by a third tier including Hurts, Herbert, Jackson, and Prescott. Vets like Brady, Rodgers, and Stafford are a unique category difficult to intermix with the ascenders. Lawrence will earn his place in all this soon.
  16. I don’t know why people care what other fans say or post. It’s all so juvenile. But I guess it’s the nature of the interwebs. I agree it’s odd that Chiefs are in line for the top seed despite losing to Bills and Bengals. However, those losses are apart of the calculus and the Chiefs were still tied with the Bills record-wise and ahead of the Bengals.
  17. Well, somebody has to be #1 and it’s tough to pick anyone else at the moment. These are “power” rankings which essentially indicates who has momentum based on recent results.
  18. Chiefs should be happy because they were awarded control of their own destiny for a bye. Bengals should be frustrated, but alas, they had the longest odds of achieving the #1 seed going into the Bills game. Bills fall in the middle. Bottom line is they shouldn’t be awarded a bye and home field advantage without having to play the Bengals.
  19. #1 seed wasn’t about history or numbers. It was about Bills/Chiefs and the way the Bills season ended the past two years. Losing the bye is crushing. But the Bills still have an advantageous path and saved from Arrowhead.
  20. This is going to be one of those old fashioned woodshed games. Competition committee will now turn attention to the mercy rule for Raiders at halftime.
  21. Yes, those must be the sensitivity rankings. But the puffies are real!! 1. 49ers 2. Chiefs 3. Eagles 4. Bills 5. Bengals 6. Cowboys 7. Chargers 8. Vikings 9. Ravens 10. Jaguars 11. Giants 12. Packers 13. Lions 14. Bucs 15. Steelers 16. Patriots 17. Seahawks 18. Dolphins 19. Saints 20. Browns 21. Commanders 22. Titans 23. Jets 24. Falcons 25. Panthers 26. Raiders 27. Rams 28. Colts 29. Broncos 30. Cardinals 31. Texans 32. Bears
  22. Short of the game being resumed, this was brilliant. It does a terrific job aligning current seeding odds with chance of success within the scenarios. Chiefs benefit, but it couldn’t be perfect. And they did it without upheaving 7-14 playoff teams or undermining the format. Of course there’s no way I could process it without the trickle chart.
  23. And can’t rely on the Ravens to upset the Bengals. Are they using third string QB this weekend?!?
  24. This flow(?) chart is awesome.
  25. Bills absolutely have to play to beat the Pats in order to have a hypothetical div. round game vs. Bengals at home.
