  1. This OL is scary. Any given play there’s a free rusher.
  2. Hopefully they pull the starters. That was a good enough TD drive. Cool seeing Allen run straight to Edmunds when they came out.
  3. Sure he is. But to base that on what’s been posted here…is…well… Let’s just hope he’s not counting on hybrid Kelce/Kupp numbers. 😂
  4. Fair. It's still a problem if a GM trades up for a player in round 1 who can barely get on the field. Benford is getting reps, in part, because of the Elam problem. GMs need to hit on early picks. Bills may be plateauing because guys like Ford, Epenesa, Basham, and Elam didn't develop. Even Oliver and Edmunds have been above average players but not what the team expected them to become. We'll see about Rousseau. Still hope.
  5. I sat on his name for a beat when I did my last 53. Any of Jonathan, Epenesa, Basham, and Lawson could make the team or be punted to the moon. I'm not sure it makes much difference.
  6. Don’t question it. Just go with it until it fails.
  7. A winning record isn’t being doubted. They’re not being overrated and overhyped is all. 10-7 is the safe money.
  8. Learning by fire isn’t worth the downside. He doesn’t grasp zone and he grabs at wideouts to keep up. He was handsy in college and now he’s stuck in an unnatural assignment. It should be reiterated Beane traded UP for Elam. What rub? Is that a compliment?
  9. I'm kind of surprised this is being taken so lightly.
  10. I assume he's McCoy's backup rather than potentially throwing Tune into the fire.
  11. Don't worry about your tone. I couldn't care less. Are you asking me for a realistic roster that includes 7 WRs? Again, I wasn't being literal about 7 WRs. But just for fun: QB - J. Allen, K. Allen/Barkley (2) RB - Cook, Harris, Murray (3) FB - Gilliam (1) WR - Diggs, Davis, Sherfield, Harty, Shakir, Isabella, Shorter (7) TE - Knox, Kincaid, Morris (3) OT - Dawkins, Brown, Quessenberry, Van Demark (4) IOL - Morse, McGovern, Bates, Torrence, Edwards (5) DE - Rousseau, Epenesa, Floyd, Lawson/Basham (4 - Miller PUP) DT - Oliver, Jones, Phillips, Settle, Ford (5) LB - Milano, Dodson, Bernard, Williams, Klein, Matakevich (6) CB - White, Jackson, Johnson, Benford, Elam, Neal (6) S - Poyer, Hyde, Rapp, Lewis/Hamlin (4) K - Bass (1) P - Martin (1) LS - Ferguson (1) When Miller returns, cut a DL. Lawson/Basham, Phillips, or Ford.
  12. Yep, would've taken that Jones trade in a lickety split too.
  13. And the one area he showed promise was the tough (sideline) catches which went out the window last season. That being said, and against my better judgment, I think he’ll have a decent season.
  14. No interest in trading for a QB2. Just peruse the scrap heap next week or live with the choice you’ve already made.
  15. I understand your point and I was being facetious. My point is that I don't think the roster is "deep" in the sense there's upside waiting in the wings. You could shuffle the "depth" in and out across most positions and it wouldn't make a difference. For the final handful of roster spots, I'd just keep whoever is younger, cheaper, and more versatile. I realize that's not ideal.
  16. The expectations around here are a bit unreasonable for a rookie TE. I'm excited though to have a couple potentially good ones. It seems the Bills have always been a step behind the league in utilizing the position.
  17. There's that pesky "depth" thing again. What depth? Isabella? Harty? That's not depth. That's bodies. They're better off keeping seven WRs to increase the odds that a couple actually contribute something.
  18. The starters wouldn't be playing this weekend if they showed any competence at all last week. They need to find some kind of rhythm if only for a fleeting mental boost.
  19. Simmons was a 'tweener when he came out and Joseph did him no favors. Reddick is a different player obviously, but I can certainly see Simmons finding success with NYG. I would've absolutely taken that upside for a 6th on this Bills roster no matter where he ended up playing.
  20. True depth means rotational players and backups who can step in and have an impact. I wouldn’t call the Bills deep. They just have lots of mediocre players.
