    Beane won’t swallow a draft pick so quickly. He’ll suck that egg. Sounds like the Harty/Isabella competition got a little tighter though which is a good thing.

    I don’t buy this. I’m sure GMs develop hypothetical trade scenarios with their buddies. It’s part of the job. But Beane targeting a TE is a stretch. That run on WRs was no coincidence.

    No pending UFAs are worth extending at this point. The priority may become DaQuan Jones. And here’s hoping Rapp earns his keep.

    Overpaying Davis now, on a cap-strapped roster, in case he has a good season is inane.

    Elam has been “handsy” since college. That instinct may change with coaching and experience. May be a reason they don’t trust him yet.

    I can't imagine fringe players like Epenesa, Basham, Doyle, Lewis, etc. would have much demand around the league. But you're always hoping for a 5th at best in these scenarios.

    Fields is an elite athlete. And the Bears added some decent WRs and finally building the OL. Curious to see if he takes the next step as a passer. That new regime seems on the right track.
