  1. I think Beane knows he's in trouble at OT and MLB at the very least. Trading away a 4th/5th would not surprise me in the least. May be able to recoup a 6th/7th for Basham. I'm also curious what they think of Ford and Harris at this point. Could be surprise cuts/trades.
  2. It did, in part. And he can't be cut until after next season. A Diggs trade next spring becomes more realistic though if it all gets blown up.
  3. I can tolerate some of the INTs. For better or worse, it's part of Allen's game. But the fumbles kill me. He's so careless with the ball.
  4. Could be an off-season of upheaval. Cutting White, Dawkins, Morse, Poyer, and Harty would clear $31M+.
  5. Extending Jones at this stage makes sense. Committing to Dawkins does not, unless the structuring still allows the Bills to cut him next year for substantial cap savings.
  6. Taking another undersized LB (who’s not even being considered to play the middle) instead of OT in the third round nicely crystallizes the issues with this regime.
  7. Thankfully Dawkins can be cut next year to the tune of $7.5M cap savings.
  8. As you know, they won close/laborious games against bad teams in the second half and then got dominated by Cincy. Don’t have to apologize for the record of course. But the point here is to hopefully ascend.
  9. Can't hide behind "preseason" when these issues were apparent last year. The Steelers game was just more of the same.
  10. Allen is panicked behind this OL. You feel the pressure ratchet up when he steps behind center on obvious sneak calls. For all his own faults, i.e. accuracy, ball security, composure, I still attribute a lot of the inconsistency to him becoming a happy feet hero within an offense he doesn’t trust.
  11. A third tier FA and 2nd round guard isn’t good enough. Dawkins and Brown both struggled last season.
  12. Bills simply can’t afford this in terms of both the cap and the compensation.
  13. This exercise is getting painful. A lot riding on Davis and Knox having breakout (bounce back) seasons. Because that OL, that WR depth, untested RB…yeesh. On the other side, no reason to think that DL can control the line of scrimmage. LBs, forget it. Jackson can be anointed CB2, because Elam is lost. Fingers crossed Hyde and Poyer can hold up.
  14. May need to lower your expectations and try to appreciate the entertainment value in it all.
  15. Hometown allegiance. A bond strong enough to tolerate this franchise.
  16. The game was meaningful. Not to draw conclusions in isolation, but in the sense it added to the greater story. It was yet another example justifying ongoing concerns about, for example, OL, MLB, and Elam. That’s where the frustration comes from.
  17. Plenty of dumb nicknames already. He’s better off without one.
