NFL will look at the fumble-out-of-end-zone rule
Sestak4ever replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree with this , or if the fumble occurred inside the two yard line then give the ball to the offense at the same spot as an extra point, and not at the one yard line or goal line. My take for the worst rule in football is the pass interference rule. It should be a 15 yard penalty and automatic first down, not a spot foul. -
Fines definitely should be coming down on both of them. It’s funny as I read on the Chief’s site that some fans said Mahomes was venting on his offensive coordinator and that no referee was near him during his rant. Some of their fans shot back that he was definitely yelling at the refs and there was a referee about three feet away from him. So hilarious to get some blinded fan’s take on it.

Monday night games - Dolphins/Titans, Giants/Packers
Sestak4ever replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
Love it! -
On Get Up this morning Rex Ryan said in all his years of coaching he was never warned by an official about someone lining up Offside. He mentioned the refs might say an offensive tackle might be pushing the limit one way or the other, but that’s it. Robert Griffin has no clue and this only adds to my take on him as a waste of an NFL talking head.

So far the talking heads I've seen discussing the issue are pretty much in agreement that it was a very obvious penalty and both Mahomes and Reid are coming out like sore losers. I would not be surprised that the league issues fines for their post game comments.
-
That would have been as bad as a game earlier this year ( I don't remember the teams), but a player removed his helmet on the field of play and the ref warned him to put it back on. I was like "What the heck is that? It's always a penalty"!
-
That's a lot of if's and maybe's. I'm sure what they were trying to do, but there are many times that coaches outsmart themselves. Would make a ton more sense to run the ball and even if it doesn't gain yardage, either KC spends a timeout or you run it down to the 2 minute mark. Atlanta lost a Super Bowl trying to be too smart.
-
So true. 2:12 left in the game, first down deep in Chiefs territory, we have successfully run the ball all game, the Chiefs are down to 2 timeouts, and we throw three terrible passes.???????

Caught me off guard initially also

8th late-game defensive meltdown this season
Sestak4ever replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great coaches inspire their team to have confidence and a “can do” attitude. That’s how you get teams to over achieve. McDermott does none of that. Josh does it for our offense. It’s almost like our guys on defense are afraid to make mistakes. Then post game Josh has to say he needed to play better and do a better job. That’s not fair to Josh, who plays his heart out every game. When is the last time our defense created a much needed turnover at the end of a close game? Good teams do that. Interceptions, fumble recoveries, blocked kicks, etc. You need someone to be the hero on defense. It can be a different guy each time, but someone has to make a play. I think McDermott has lost the locker room and guys no longer believe in his “process”. -
8th late-game defensive meltdown this season
Sestak4ever replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mentioned in a separate post that McDermott was fired by Andy Reid in Philly for failing, and basically not wanting to make defensive adjustments when it was called for. According to the article I read, Philly fans were glad to see him go. Seems like he never learned. -
Not only was it a horse collar but every time I’ve seen a QB slung to the ground it is an unnecessary roughness penalty. It’s gotten to the point that you don’t even want to watch NFL games anymore. I would not be surprised that this is the thinking in many cities and hopefully the ratings begin dropping due to the atrocious officiating.

Week 12: Buffalo Bills vs Philadelphia Eagles
Sestak4ever replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think a lot of this game will depend on contributions from individuals that we saw make plays in the Jets game. Depends how Allen and Brady utilize them. Kincaid, Shakir, Ty Johnson all having a supporting role would help keep the Eagles defense off balance and guessing. The Eagles are not going to ignore Diggs and Davis (even though he hasn’t done much lately). -
Josh is effin back. He says so himself.

Stating the obvious, but these next three games are critical. I sure wish our defense was fully healthy. Go Bills!!!🏈🍻 -
Agree 100%👍

Bills vs Jets 4:25 PM Nov. 19 Lets move on.
Sestak4ever replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
I understand but we lost a home playoff game last year and we barely beat the Giants and Bucs. We don’t put teams away at home like we used to. -

What has happened to our “home field” advantage? This used to be a very tough place for opposing teams to come in and pull off a victory. For the last two plus seasons it does not seem like an advantage. Is that on McDermott? Where is the pride of defending our turf? Trying to determine the cause. -
I highly doubt that we will see a drastic change with our offense. It’s not like we’ve had all offseason to work with Brady’s system. The question will be can small changes make a difference this season? We will see.

McDermott was fired by Andy Reid because he constantly failed to adjust when his schemes weren’t working. Seems like he never learned from it.
-
It’s not the lack of talent on this team that is causing these losses. When a team continues making the same mistakes week in and week out that falls directly on the head coach. They no longer believe in McDermott and he has lost this locker room.

Fire McDermott - 12 On the Field INEXCUSABLE
Sestak4ever replied to WEATHER DOT COM's topic in The Stadium Wall
When a team continues to make the same mistakes week in and week out that falls directly on the coaching. A coach is there to serve and direct his players. When that is properly done the players fall in line and back their coach because the ultimate goal is winning games. This is not a lack of talent, it is purely a lack of effective and accountable coaching. -

Sestak4ever replied to WEATHER DOT COM's topic in The Stadium Wall
McDermott never has the team prepared. He has lost the team. We should be unbeatable at home. Wasting a ton of talent. We have no home field advantage and we always did in the past, even with mediocre teams. -
Josh Allen Fined for the Taunting Penalty
Sestak4ever replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
I understand that it’s part of the CBA but that it was called at all, along with the intentional grounding and no calls on the trip/kick on Kincaid and on the facemask on Davis is total garbage. I’m not a conspiracy guy at all, but it sure seems like the Bills, along with some other teams get shafted by the league way more often than some of “their” favorites. I know it sounds like a homer attitude, but it happens way too often to go unnoticed. I also can’t believe that the officiating crews aren’t called on the carpet more often and disciplined by the league, especially in such a large money making endeavor. The inconsistency from game-to-game, team-to-team is frustratingly insane.
