Nope. I just thought back to all the weird ways we’ve lost games and thought of a fumble, a missed kicked, or my mind went to the worst - a blocked kick returned for a score to end it. Not scoring a gimme TD with 30 seconds left in the snow concerns me that those brutal beats are also in McDs head - he just imagined an even worse scenario: we score to go up 7 with 30 seconds and the Dolphins score a TD and take it to OT and win. In the end, it worked. But having any hesitancy that you’re defense can’t stop a TD from ***** Tua in snow with 30 seconds is a bit concerning.

When they made the playoffs with a miracle from Andy Dalton, I’ll admit that I shed a tear. I sat on the floor of my own living room and just needed a moment. Then I ran outside like a moron, with neighbors likely wondering WTF was happening since it was late and at the time I lived in Virginia. It was something incredible. Yesterday, I spent 3 hours reading how pretty much everything on our team sucks except for Allen as we quietly walked into the playoffs for the 4th year in a row. Oh how times have changed. Expectations are enormous. We aren’t the lovable losers anymore and in fact I’m starting to see a lot of “we are so sick of hearing about Josh Allen…” from fans of other teams. In the words of the early 90’s Bills returning to the SB - “We’re back. Deal with it America.”

Went over to the Dolphins message board to see the damage and I saw “McD is in way over his head.” and I was genuinely confused, then a little pissed, and then embarrassed when I realized they had their own McD to hate when they lose. That’s a nice little kinship we have with them.

I’m fully satisfied that this team can win close games, which was previously a criticism from some. Can we be done with that now and go back to curb stomping teams?

Our coordinators have separate playbooks for snow vs no-snow (at least they said Dorsey does). Seems clear Miami is sticking with the snow plan and Frazier is playing south Florida defense (playing as if Tua is going to throw for 40 yards every play. Which he can’t do any way.)
