  1. I'll be in church. Sunday School starting at 9:15, then the service until 11:30. I might catch some of the 4th quarter (on the radio).
  2. I have no problem with recognizing a good player and good person on a hated team. I agree though that Hill is one of the NFL's low life.
  3. I admit that I might watch an illegal stream if I could, but that does not mean if the option is denied to me, I will automatically shell out the bucks to watch over priced outlets and line NFL pockets. Radio still works. So it does not follow that if the sports industry can cut off the 28 billion dollar streaming industry they will get 28 billion more in revenue.
  4. What Buffalo can do is keep a schedule that is close to what they would do at home, continue to live as if they are in the Easter Time Zone or change by just a couple hours. Start early in the week by suggesting team members get up and go to bed a couple hours earlier. Then when they go to London, they can just shift a couple more hours and they'll be pretty well adjusted by game time.
  5. I just hope when Buffalo plays Cincinnati a little later in the season they are this year's version of the team so far and not last year's playoff version. Buffalo is clearly a better team now than the team that played Cincinnati in the playoffs though.
  6. The Jags played in London yesterday. I'm sure they were there several days before that. They will just stay in London. The rule of thumb for jet lag is one day recovery time for every hour of change. Jet lag will not be an issue for the Jags at all. If Buffalo heads over today they should be pretty well recovered from Jet lag for the game. Buffalo is technically the home team versus the Jags, but the Jags are far more familiar with playing in London than is Buffalo, albeit at a different stadium. Basically, it's the leagues way of taking Buffalo's extra home game this season and turning it into an away game
  7. Buffalo could be 10-1 when they face Philadelphia. Not even Philadelphia or KC look unbeatable. Still, they have to execute every week.
  8. I don't know. The Bills punted the ball twice against the Dolphins. If they want me to take them seriously, they've got to cut down on that stat.
  9. It's not a surprise to find Miami fans believing their team is one of the best in the league and better than the Bills. IMO there is no real point in trying to argue the matter. Just play the game. That will make the issue much clearer.
  10. It pays to check your bank account from time to time. If you don't want to do it yourself, and you make enough money, hire an accountant to manage things for you.
  11. The one drawback with Rapp is his slower than average speed. Given Miami's overall speed on offense, Rapp would have a very small margin for error. If he makes even a little mistake, the receiver is probably making a big play.
  12. I saw the title and wonder what on earth Klein had done to deserve props.
  13. Bass combines a big leg with great consistency. Best in the league? I have no idea. I'm just happy we have him in Buffalo.
  14. Yeah, there was outstanding play all over the Bills' defenses. Turnovers always impress the people who do the picking though. An interception and a fumble recovery along with the sacks was bound to get him noticed
  15. What you said, plus CBs can't line up 10 yards deep. They need to disrupt receiver routes early. Defense must maintain discipline at all times to limit big plays. Keep penalties to a minimum, especially pre-snap penalties. Buffalo's receivers all need to be sure handed. The Miami game is not the game to try and figure out how to help Deonte Harty be effective. What they've been doing hasn't worked.
  16. For whatever reason, the league doesn't want a lot of kickoff returns. They won't do anything that is likely to increase the number of returns.
  17. Gotta knock those Dolphins off their pedestal next weekend.
  18. I agree. This is the first year in several seasons that the Bills have what I would describe as an above average offensive line. For years Buffalo running backs never had holes to hit in the middle of the line. They coupled that with running backs who didn't have the speed to get outside. I haven't watched, but I'm guessing that most of Moss's recent yardage has been the tackles. He is tough but lacks speed and like Singletary needs holes inside to run through.
  19. That is Tua's MO anyway. Buffalo will need to be able to disrupt receivers' route running early and maintain fairly tight coverage if they can.
  20. I agree that McDermott is good, better than Frazier. I think also that he is benefiting from the maturation the young players on the defensive line and the pleasant surprise that Bernard has been.
  21. I don't know that he gets cut, but obviously his rep count will drop significantly when Miller returns. The Bills aren't going to play 5 on the line and Miller is going to get half of the reps at least, once he gets going.
  22. I sure can't complain about Bernard so far.
  23. I think the DBs need to line up fairly close to the LOS and disrupt the route running of Miami receivers early. Combining that with generating pressure mostly by rushing four and you'll go a long way toward controlling the passing offense. I think Buffalo plays a lot of nickel as usual. I don't think that will hurt them in run defense.
  24. Weather.com is now saying rain in the morning and cloudy with showers in the afternoon. Total rainfall about a 1/4 of an inch. Winds are actually supposed to be pretty light at 5 - 10 mph.
