  1. I agree. With the 17th game, comparing stats across season becomes meaningless. Even if there is a bit more of a run-pass balance there is an additional game thrown in.
  2. Hop in my Chrysler, it's as big as a whale And it's about to set sail I got me a car, it seats about twenty, so come on And bring your jukebox money The love shack is a little old place where We can get together Love shack baby A love shack baby
  3. Another reason is blocking scheme. Buffalo switched to more zone blocking in the 2nd half of last season. Moss ran behind zone blocking at college. Singletary didn't. Maybe that is part of why DS looked more indecisive as the season went on and his YPC dipped? Spain, Feliciano, Singletary benefit from man/power gap blocking schemes. People are down on Motor/ Feliciano. Spain was sent packing after being extended and having a good year in 2019. (Didn't like the switch?) Williams/ Morse/ Moss benefit from zone blocking. All are retained. Williams' career got a second act and was extended. Moss improved after the switch and benefitted from more playing time. Breida is a one cut zone runner with speed. This line is still lacking zone blocking guards, which is why I am confused the draft didn't find scheme matching IOL drafted.
  4. Only you Cared when I needed a friend Believed in me through thick and thin This song is for you, filled with gratitude and love God bless you You make me feel brand new For God blessed me with you You make me feel brand new I sing this song 'cause you Make me feel brand new
  5. I can see Rousseau getting about 30-35% reps by season end. He is raw and a year out, but by week 10 or so, no reason to not count on him in the DE rotation. I wasn't thrilled with the pick, but he is a Bill now and I want him to succeed. His good comps are a Cam Wakefield type player. That would be aok with me. Boogie Basham will probably see more snaps early, he is more polished, but I can see Rousseau getting snaps due to injury or fatigue by Addison and Hughes by the season end. The bye week is in week 7, very early in a 17 game season.
  6. Would love to see Mitchell get a shot to 'show off' a bit in the Bills offense. He could be a terrific trade asset for the Bills, and have a chance of redemption here. That will only help Buffalo going forward. Hoping Mitch shows out in his time here in Buffalo. Maybe he even likes the role and organization enough to stick for a while. I always felt he was over drafted, but I really do pull for talented players who had a bit of a raw deal. I want Darnold to succeed in Carolina, and would love to see MT put in the work JA has and stick for a bit and become the best QB he can become. He has talent, but wasn't ready for the NFL.
  7. Plenty of family have. No major side effects, I still have many questions. Consider me part of the 'Control Group'. All experiments should have them.
  8. So you are saying fear can drive irrational behavior? Who knew?......................./s
  9. I think the first 6 games before the bye week are pretty tough and will be a good litmus test. I could see 3-3 and having to figure out some things at the bye. The three games after the bye are good to regain traction. Could be 6-3 going into the second half of the season. The bye week in week 7 is also really early for a 17 game schedule. Also surprised they have Buffalo at home for the last two in January....
  10. Haha digging deep with the Booger McFarland comment. I remember him saying that KB was a Popeyes biscuit away from being a TE during a Bills game with Benjamin on the team. Had to be 2018 or 2019. I guess the Giants scouted Booger and KB. I lost all respect for this loaf of a player when he refused to work on routes with JA pre game.
  11. I can see that with the DEs. I think Rosseau will need a bit more time to ramp up, but could be impactful as early as mid season. Brown is an intriguing prospect and could become a starting T. Not as sure about Doyle. I liked the strategy in the draft, OL and DL were clear needs for upgrades and youth. I guess I felt there were better selections at some of those picks. But they are our guys now and I hope they all play lights out. Hopefully we don't need to see either OT this year!
  12. You should, it is very important! 😄 I liked the 6th round overall. I think Stevenson sticks on the 53. Hamlin 50-50 since the S position is very weak. Wildgoose probably sticks on the PS. We are good. Anyone who can quote Click and Clack is aok in my book
  13. Honestly that would be great. I think McKenzie has a role this year, but I would not be surprised if Stevenson does make him redundant.
  14. I liked the Bills strategy. Get more physical on DL and OL. Clearly needed after the KC, TN, INDY games. I also like building inside out once the QB is in place. Not sure I liked the execution. Pass rush, 1T DT and IOL were clear needs. Pass rush was addressed, but the OL moves addressed the OT, which seem to be the Bills strength. To do so they they drafted a boom/bust pick in the first, doubled down on DE in the second, and went OT in the third. They passed on many good C, OG, DT picks to do so. This was a weird draft for a lot of reasons. I hope doubling down on DE gives the Bills the DE's they need for a run, that Brown becomes a starting OT and a later rounder contributes. But I understand the poorer grades.
  15. I can't vote in this poll, but I vote Zach Wilson to fail. 1) He has Josh Rosen's build 2) he plays for the Jets 3) Jones plays for the evil hoodie
  16. Marquez Stevenson was a sneaky good pick. My favorite value pick of the draft. He replaced Roberts with a 6th round pick. His college career as a KR: 34 returns - 889 yards - 3 return TD - 26.1 average. That is my KR day 1. On top of that he posted a 75 catch -1019 yard -13.6 avg -9 TD as a sophomore, and 52 catch - 907 yards - 9 TD - 17.4 avg as a junior. He can clearly return kicks, and catch passes. I see Stevenson replacing Roberts this year, and maybe McKenzie next year. 2 for 1.
  17. In my humble opinion Boogie Basham and Marquez Stevenson will be the most impactful rookies this year. Basham has a complete game already, and more experience at DE than Rousseau. Rousseau has only played DE for one season, ever, including high school. It was a good one, and I think his style/ceiling is Cam Wake. Then again he could be a one year wonder. Basham has 3+ years as a hand in the dirt DE. He generally improved every year. 2020 is hard to compare given how few games were played, but in general he trended up each year on a per game basis. I think Boogie sees the field first.
  18. Thanks Augie. This fall is my 40th as a Bills fan... Wow the time goes by quickly! Was a member of other boards, took time away from social media. Thanks for adding the late DB finds to the argument. Too true. It wouldn't surprise me to see Hamlin and Thompson as the back up S on the team. Jaquan Johnson and Josh Thomas are ST guys at best. Losing Marlowe hurt. Why not roll with the young guys if no better option is there? As silly as it sounds, I could see Brown in on goal line packages as a tackle eligible TE. I hear he has nice hands...
  19. I rewatched the KC game. Morse was abused. D Williams also got beat badly a few times. Feliciano and Boettger held their own. I loved that Buffalo wanted OL/DL as a strategy. KC/TN/INDY were able to be more physical, and I love building inside out when you have your QB in place. I'm just not sold on how OBD executed that strategy. IOL was a clear need, as was a 1T DT. Buffalo went DE/OT. I think the OG battles this offseason will be among the best. Feliciano, Lamp, Ford, Boetgger and Anderson are all in position to take a starting role. But honestly, what OG on the current roster is better than Feliciano? Maybe not saying much. I really wanted Buffalo to take an Interior Offensive Lineman in round 2-5 for this very reason. Anderson could be a dark horse, but passing on Creed Humphrey/ Wyatt Davis (2nd) and Ben Cleveland (3) when they did seemed like misses. I hope Boogie and Brown make me eat my words. Until then let the OG battle royale commence!
  20. I understand the line of thinking. TE is really thin on the roster. The thing that stood out to me about when looking at Morris is, while he shows terrific hands, he had trouble separating from defenders. If a guy can't separate at Division I-A level (MAC) how will he separate at the NFL level? And we know the GM and coaches like to get guys who can separate. In general I think it's easier for a UFA to make an NFL roster on defense, than offense. Should be fun watching the young guys. Any idea of the number of Practice Squad or IR places? Surprised the NFLPA didn't fight for more active roster spots, game day spots, PS in exchange for an additional game.... The roster flexibility may come in handy over an extended season.
  21. Some good projections. Here is mine: Starters in Bold Rookies Underlined Offense (24) OL (9): Dawkins, Williams, Feliciano, Lamp, Morse, Brown, Ford, Boettger, Bates QB (2): Allen, Trubisky RB (4): Moss, Singletary, Breida, Jones WR (6): Diggs, Beasley, Sanders, Davis, McKenzie, Stevenson TE (3): Knox, Hollister, Sweeney Defense (26) DE (6) Hughes, Addison, Epenesa, Rousseau, Basham, Odaba DT (5) Oliver, Lotuleilei, Butler, Phillips, Zimmer LB (5): Milano, Edmunds, Klein, Matakavich, Dodson CB (6): White, Wallace, Johnson, Jackson, Neal, Lewis S (4): Poyer, Hyde, Hamlin, Thompson ST (3) K (1): Bass P (1): Haack LS (1): Ferguson KR: Stevenson/ McKenzie/ Breida PR: McKenzie/ Stevenson/ Hyde Potential PS/ IR (How many this year?)
