  1. McKenzie is our 'X' factor for certain. He helped sparked a few games last year. He isn't a 'wow' starter, but is the type of guy every elite offense needs, and he adds some ST ability
  2. Boettger played LG and RG. He is very solid. Have to keep him. Fringe starter, great backup at OG
  3. the depth CB Nick McCloud keeps showing up. Pick 6 called back in game 1 for a bad call Pick today again and a Pass defensed I'm not sure Wildgoose or Dane Jackson has shown better We should keep an eye on this kid. He can play.
  4. you will love a lot of what you see. Guys making cut decisions hard.
  5. Buffalo has the best 1-2 QB punch in the league. No need for a #3 QB
  6. Final takeaway: Trubisky on a solidly coached team looks better than any QB Chicago could put out there. Still convinced the Bills have the best 1-2 QB punch in the NFL. Great game Mitch! Great game Bills.
  7. He will get another chance. Stashing a guy like that on PS is better than some others. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. QBs are always a premum. Would you rather have Fromm/ Webb or Rosen on the PS?
  8. That is the point. I'd rather have room for Hamlin, or McCloud or heck Dre Kirkpatrick on the roster than Webb or Fromm
  9. surround the guy with the process. getting a guy into the system a year early could be a move ahead. Fromm and Webb are dead ends
  10. Not sure Fromm or Webb have proven to be worthy knocking another player off the 53. I am firmly in the 2 QB club now. 2 QBs: Allen and Trubisky
  11. As long as the concert season or tour isn't from December to March.... A dome would be an all season crown jewel in PSG Entertainment's portfolio. Maybe I am projecting a bit as Rochester lacks a sufficient indoor location for large concert tours and indoor events. I'd be happy to shuffle off to Buffalo, or Orchard Park for a great venue and offseason event. I suppose the Sabres arena may already fit the bill, but then there is booking around the Sabres to consider.
  12. Look up the Buffalo Billion and related scandals, err news. While it's true Rochester has not seen as much reinvestment or public/private efforts our area has it's share of red herrings, waste and poor local leadership. NYS seems to specialize in it. A few Rochester area examples of general leadership failure and waste since the thread has mentioned leadership/ tax investment/ public private cooperation High Falls Entertainment District Empire United Soccer Complex Failure (aka Marina Soccer Stadium)- Rhinos last played in 2017 and have abandoned the stadium I-Square investment/ failure/ scandal (Irondequoit) Performing Arts Center/ Parcel 5 Parcel 2 and Parcel 5 in general half @ssed fill in project and urban planning of the inner loop The current Genesee River 'beautification' pork project Medley Center it took 10-15(?) years to build a new bus terminal, and that is located where it ties up traffic on St. Paul and Clinton avenues, and was done half @ssed Rochester and Buffalo are trying, and showing really good resiliency, but the leadership from the localities and county up to Albany is a wreck and can't help but get in the way of everything.
  13. Agree, if he does get in it for the Super Bowl heroics. Kind of a modern Joe Namath.
  14. We agree 100%. Taron Johnson has bloomed into a terrific nickel. Wallace gets thrown to as the weakest link, but has been very solid. Been looking at FA CB and it is bad, hoping for a vet cut somewhere. Nickel Robey Coleman was available until last week
  15. Agreed, and I loathe the Jets, but hey have been trying to rebuild the OL much in the vein Buffalo did. Actually have spent more draft capital on the OL than Buffalo has. (Becton/ Vera Tucker/ Moore) They also keep bringing in mid tier guys to see if one blooms or regains form. Buffalo did that with Feliciano/ Williams and now Lamp. Never can tell with a rookie QB, but the Jets are trying to do this right for Wilson. I can't knock the strategy. I think the Jets will surprise and win 6-7 games this year.
  16. These are the crash and burn results I expected with Rosen, but not exactly how. He is physically worse than anticipated. I thought he would be arrogant and injury prone, which would lead to these results. I was certain Donald was not going to be an option, so for Buffalo I liked Mayfield the most, because outside of Allen he is the most scrappy and wants to prove himself more than anyone else from that class. He was a walk on, which I think drives him, much like JA's lack of DI offers drive him. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't trade places now for anything. I was a Mason Rudolph fan too, and still think he can be a successful Tannehill type QB in the right situation. He throws some really nice passes. I would put Mariota in the same camp. Surprised some QB hungry team didn't try to obtain his services or Trubisky to compete for a starting role. Well that rambled along 😄
