  1. Man, Flacco just does the opposite of "take what the defense gives you".
  2. Nah, not when a FG just ties it. Have to try to hold them.
  3. Bengals are going to get the ball back with 2 minutes left and 1 TO. A TD and an XP wins the game. Come on Flacco! Avenge Higgins!
  4. Bears and Giants trying to give away their game
  5. If you never have possession how can it be a catch? Don't you need to actually control the ball at some point?
  6. Ravens play the Steelers the final game of the year. Wouldn't be surprised if it gets flexed to prime time. Wouldn't be surprised at all if that was basically a win-and-in game for both teams.
  7. He's exactly like Tannehill when the Titans somehow got the first seed that one year.
  8. Not sure if the Bengals could have a quick scoring drive, but now would be the time.
  9. If the Pats lost their LT for the season it might be a Pyrrhic victory.
  10. They really seem like a bad team recently. Even if they make the playoffs I'm wondering if they will be able to win a game.
  11. I don't think they are shaken. I just think Chris Jones and Kelce are like 30% as good as they used to be. Those are 2 players possibly top 10 in their position all time. Also Butker is having a down year when he has historically hit every clutch FG.
  12. Yea, in a tight game where the Bengals can't move the ball. Take the points, go up 7. Such an easy decision.
  13. Totally bogus, gotta keep Lamar in the playoff race
  14. This was my favorite elite play of the day by him
  15. Can we at least see Maye play decent during cold weather months before we anoint him the next great one?
  16. There is a good chance that our first match up in the playoffs is an away game against the winner of the AFCN. Our defense matches up pretty poorly against the Ravens rushing attack (as evidenced by the last 3 match ups in a 15 month period). So, I could see people hoping that the Steelers win the division and the Ravens miss altogether. I mean, somebody has to win the division there...
  17. Kind of a weird week. Almost all of the AFC teams are done after the 1pm slot. I think the dream of the #1 seed is pretty much dead unless we win out (I think there is a pretty good chance 13-4 is the #1 seed record this year). The division is hanging on by a thread, but need the Pats to lose today. Come on Flacco! Unleash the elite dragon! I actually think the Pats could lose today. Vrabel is a good coach, but an away game against a bad team is the type of game a young team doesn't necessarily get up for.
  18. Watch Palmer on the route, he's running across the field and looks like he's going to cut under the Safety. Allen throws the ball to exactly where Palmer is going to be and Palmer stops running his route. It's impossible to know what Palmer's route is supposed to be (I guess maybe he was supposed to cut over the Safety in the end zone which makes no sense), but considering Allen threw it right where he was running I have to imagine it was there. EDIT: If you go to 8:47 in this video they show the All-22 replay repeatedly. Palmer looks surprised the ball is coming his way.
  19. Ha, I just saw a better replay. What in the world is Palmer doing? Allen throws the ball exactly where he was going to be and Palmer inexplicably stops his route and kind of cuts up field basically giving the Safety a free interception. To be honest I think Palmer sees the Safety and makes a business decision here, which is pathetic on the last play of the game. Allen probably thought "I've been getting smacked around all game, surely the WR will absorb a hit to try to win the game." Really mind boggling.
  20. Silver linings: Baltimore very well might miss the playoffs. Everybody is assuming they will catch the Steelers, but I think the Ravens have looked pretty bad even in their wins. KC is in real trouble for missing the playoffs. If they lose this weekend to the Colts I would argue they are done. AFC feels wide open. Is anybody really afraid of Daniel Jones or Trevor Lawrence in the playoffs? Pats schedule has been baby soft, and nobody will be surprised if they get bounced in the first round. Bills path in the playoffs might not be as tough as you think. I just did a full ESPN playoff simulator and this is what I got for the Bills (5th seed): Wild Card at Pittsburgh Divisional home game against Chargers (I had the Chargers as the 6th seed and upsetting the Broncos, I had KC as the 7th seed and upsetting the Pats) AFCCG at Indy That playoff seems totally doable to get to the Super Bowl, and it even has a home playoff game.
