  1. The thing I don't like about that play is you really need to see the leg whip to call it. There is no way the ref saw the leg whip because there was none.
  2. Hardly ever hear the "rules expert" disagree with the refs on the field so strongly like that.
  3. Miami isn't making the playoffs, it's better if they have a worse draft pick.
  4. Have you seen the Browns offense this year? They don't even move the ball.
  5. Miami playing well except for the handful of plays where they are playing terrible.
  6. Based on what we've seen so far I think the Fins are going to win by 2 scores. They look a lot better on both sides of the ball (fumble notwithstanding).
  7. So we know the Ravens can get at least 7 yards if given 4 downs to do so
  8. Importantly Mahomes doesn't have to face Spags. Everybody after the game said that was a really unusual blitz that went against what they did the entire game, and they had several bluffs beforehand to keep Allen guessing.
  9. Last season we had Hollins who was serviceable, and Allen seemed to trust down the field. He led the team in receiving TDs. We also had Cooper for the second half of the season who played like a real NFL WR2. This season we have Kincaid back (when he’s targeted he looks good). But Palmer hasn’t really replaced Cooper or Hollins and now he’s going to miss a chunk of the season. So we just have less talent than last season. We banked a bit on Coleman taking a step forward and he looks like he’s actually taken a step back.
  10. The Bengals winning that game had a lot to do with Patrick Mahomes forgetting how to play football during halftime. He never had a chokejob like that vs us, and a lot of it was unforced. There is some luck involved.
  11. Here is the problem with this guy’s argument. - What happens if you need to run the 2 minute drill? You can’t just pound the rock. - By the same token, what happens if you need to run the 4 minute drill? - What happens if a team is very good at stopping the run without stacking the box (see: New England). - What happens if a team does stack the box and your WR can’t beat man coverage anyway? - What happens if Cook gets dinged up? He’s getting more carries than he’s ever had in his college or pro career. - What happens if your defense chokes and you are down 2 scores early and need to chase points? You can’t survive in the NFL without a competent passing game. It’s a huge problem. We only had 2 completions to boundary WR in the Carolina game (or something like that, can’t remember the exact stat).
  12. Kelce would have recognized it was an all out blitz because he’s a cagey veteran. He probably would have cut his route short and made himself available and no heroic dive would have been necessary. I’ve seen him do it a hundred times.
  13. Meyers requested a trade during the offseason and again at the beginning of the season, so this isn’t out of nowhere. With the Raiders pretty much out of the playoff picture I think he will get traded and the Raiders are just holding out for the best offer. It’s possible nobody has ponied up a 3rd yet and they are waiting until desperation kicks in. It’s a sellers market right now for WRs. Not much out there.
  14. I think Myers has been kind of mailing it in because he knows he’s being traded. I think he even mentioned to the media something like “if I’m even still here”.
  15. I think playing as a WR3/4 he can be pretty effective. Maybe like 4 targets per game. We know he can run the scramble drill effectively with Allen. A small part of me thinks Dorsey was also a big problem with Gabe. He just couldn’t execute all of those option routes. It led to a ton of interceptions. Brady’s offense isn’t like that at all. So simpler offense + smaller role should at least give a little boost. Maybe he can have a 2024 Mack Hollins type of season if he’s healthy enough.
  16. If the holding calls were even in the Pats game we probably win. It’s just one of those things. I think there were 7 accepted penalties on the Bills before 1 was accepted on the Pats.
  17. I totally disagree. Coleman is not an NFL talent and we have a terrible success rate throwing to him (even though he has been force fed targets and given the highest snap count). Samuel doesn’t play half the time. We really just have Shakir and Kincaid as reliable targets. Palmer could evolve into that as well, but he hasn’t really shown it so far (and never has in his NFL career to-date, even with another good QB in Herbert). We must have some of the worst separation metrics in the league, and to top it off, nobody can even get open in the scramble drill. Look around the league when mobile QBs scramble. There is usually a WIDE OPEN pass catcher if they can buy enough time. Even when Allen is scrambling this year he’s still throwing to players where it has to be a contested catch. That isn’t normal even on bad teams. Mack Hollins could get open on the scramble drill and downfield just last season with this same OC and roster. And he’s a special teamer and WR4. What makes you think we can create an effective passing attack that way?
  18. This guy was supposed to be our #1 WR. Now he should probably be benched and a bubble inactive player. Curious what the chart from the OP would look like for this season. I don’t think it would be pretty.
  19. I voted other. My first thought was “the fans”. My second thought was Britt Reid.
  20. It would be nice to just run over everybody on our schedule, but I do think we need to be mindful of Cook’s touches. This is the most touches per game he’s ever had and we’ll need him feeling fresh for the playoffs (assuming we make it).
  21. I want the win. I want to win the division. I want the get the #1 seed. I want Allen to win MVP, and Cook to win OPOTY. I think we can do it, KC looks vulnerable. They don't have as much devil magic as last season.
  22. Probably scouted by us at the draft.
  23. They could definitely start dropping some games with that schedule. Bills still have a shot at the #1 seed if they can get their passing game back on track. We have H2H still vs the Pats and Steelers, so we control our own destiny there. Broncos current record is better than their actual play. Really we just need the Colts to start dropping some games.
  24. There is a vast difference in ability to escape the pocket between end of career Andy Dalton (who looked happy to just get included in the game) and prime Mahomes. This should be obvious.
