  1. Seems pretty straightforward. If the Bills win out they will win the division, if they drop a game they won't. Pats will likely drop at least one game outside of ours. Jets are their easiest matchup the rest of the year, so that's kind of 2 freebies.
  2. The ball that was out of bounds was only slightly out of bounds and possibly catchable. More importantly on that rep Coleman didn’t track the ball, stopped running (causing the DB to run into him) and then started to run again when he found the ball in the air but couldn’t catch up to it. With Mike Evans or a similar good WR1 that is probably a completion or near-completion with the receiver not getting 2 feet in bounds. It’s a perfect example of how Coleman doesn’t look like a natural WR at all. And the other play was a slight underthrow, which Coleman failed to make the contested catch. And even after that the ball popped up and Coleman had 2 hands on it and dropped it.
  3. 4 targets, 2 catches, 17 yards. One contested catch target (incomplete).
  4. He did somewhat have garbage time stats on Sunday, but the Bills were battling to get back into it until that redzone INT. Would you say Allen has had a lot of “garbage time” stats this season? I would argue he’s had almost none, and maybe 100 yards of this past Sunday were when the game was realistically out of reach.
  5. If people think Allen is playing very poorly, they should take a look around the league. He’s still top-5 or top-10 in most interesting stats. Going into this past week he still had the #1 odds for MVP. If your QB has to play at an MVP level to win games then something is screwed up.
  6. The amateur psychologists in this thread should probably leave it to the pros.
  7. I never know what to think of an analyst looking at the All-22 and crediting incompletions to turning down an open receiver. It requires knowledge of the progression, whether the QB is reading low-to-high or high-to-low, whether that player is even expecting the ball (Brady famously has "clear out routes" where the ball is never intended to go to certain players), whether the "missed opportunity" is early in the progression when the QB is waiting for a bigger gain in a later progression, etc. There are just so many factors, seems like only Allen and Brady would really know. Even something like the redzone INT targeting Knox. Allen threw inside and Knox turned outside. Was it just an inaccurate pass, or did Allen or Knox read the coverage wrong?
  8. Pats will drop the Jets game. Divisional matchup on Thursday Night Football with a young QB is a recipe for sicko football.
  9. Would have been funny if Love connected on that bomb to Watson and the clock ran out before all those big lineman could run down the field get set up and snap it. Would have been extremely close. Not sure what the thinking on that pass was.
  10. That was definitely pass interference, but you can’t depend on that.
  11. Benefits of throwing it down the field, is that you can have 2 bad passes and 1 good pass, and that is enough for 25 yards and a first down (not to mention the ever present possibility of drawing a PI). The trick is to limit INTs and sacks though, which can be tough.
  12. Love’s mechanics are terrible
  13. Davis plays the same role as Coleman. It will really depend on if he can get healthy and take the snaps.
  14. You don’t think of DeVonta Smith as contested catch guy, but that was basically a 50/50 ball and he made a great catch.
  15. That Love fumble was hilarious
  16. I remember seeing Diggs do that a lot. He had a bit more slack though because he was great.
  17. This team seems to be bipolar with motivation issues, so who knows which Bills team will show up. Maybe they need a shrink.
  18. Jesus, could they have telegraphed that more? We weren’t even in our normal tush push formation. Miami never even crashes the line like it will be a running play. Sometimes I wonder about Brady…
  19. You think Allen will play 2 more seasons then retire, leaving potentially $200m+ on the table in future potential earnings? You’re out to lunch dude. I agree he won’t live in Buffalo when he retires, I don’t think anybody expects that (and quite frankly, who cares).
  20. You could also show the before/after for Diggs. It was a dramatic difference and probably a big reason Diggs started mailing it in and forced his way off the team.
  21. Receivers suck and Brady doesn’t have the ability to overcome it. So I’ll say both.
  22. The fumble made very little difference in this game. And the defense got gashed for a breakaway running TD like 3 plays later to seal it.
  23. Brady was statistically unimpressive in the playoffs in their first dynasty run. That team was all about an elite defense and playing small ball. On the Pats second run, they had possibly the GOAT tight end, so I don’t think you can really say they didn’t have good pass catchers considering that.
  24. Quite frankly the game was already a blow out when Cook had the first turnover, and the final fumble had zero impact on the result of the game. The fact that getting a first down looks like pulling teeth is much more relevant to me.
  25. That is how big plays happened when we had Diggs and Davis (despite his flaws, he was pretty good at the scramble drill). Now the scramble drill results in hitting Shakir when he is covered still.
