  1. Purdy needs to take a deep breath. He is incapable of playing hero ball.
  2. That was so low, easily could have been blocked.
  3. Stop worrying about the strip and just tackle him short guys...
  4. That was as head scratching as any Allen pick. 10 feet over Kelce's head.
  5. Hate to break it to you gramps, but this music is 15-20 years old already. It is targeting people in their 30s and 40s. "Hey" by Usher came out in 2004...
  6. Kind of nice to know it wasn't lip synced.
  7. We were definitely good enough to make it this year if our defense didn't have so many injuries. That is some Buffaluck.
  8. He got smoked. Dude landed on him with all of his body weight.
  9. They are #1 by far. Surprisingly they weren't tops in DPI as well. Of course Kelce can push off at the top of his route with barely any calls for a decade.
  10. Mahomes draws a defensive holding penalty on 3rd and long? Color me surprised!
  11. That's a screwjob. The guy was right there.
  12. Feels like if the Bills were more healthy on defense we’d be watching them play right now. There were no great teams in the league this year. I can’t believe the same Chiefs that soiled themselves vs the Raiders are playing for the championship.
  13. I was wondering why Rex Grossman was interviewing for a DC position.
  14. Imagine a hypothetical scenario where you locked these sports media voters in a room and had them watch all of the games of the top 10 MVP candidates, and then had them vote without being able to talk with each other, there is no way that the vote would be nearly unanimous. I don’t even think Jackson would win. I think this year especially they all just kind of voted for who everybody else was voting for. And Lamar benefitted greatly by being the last name that “everybody was voting for”.
  15. I would be willing to bet Stephen A. Smith barely watches actual full football games.
  16. He broke the single season QB rushing TDs record, but Jalen Hurts actually did as well, so they are tied for that (Allen’s we’re more impressive IMO due to less tush push sneaks). I want to say he broke the record for most games with a passing TD and rushing TD. That’s just off the top of my head. There were some career ones broken too (most X in a player’s first N years).
  17. Fans only count for 1/3 of the pro bowl vote. Coaches and players make up the other 2/3. I think the screwy pro bowl results are actually players and coaches voting for their buddies, and not voting for other players they aren't fond of.
  18. If Dak was soft, then Jackson was even softer. The Ravens defense was so dominant, all Jackson had to do was play it safe and make sure he didn’t make negative plays. If you watch Lamar Jackson play, you will notice that he only throws to a player if they are already open (usually wide open). That is part of why his attempts are so low. It also reduces interceptions a lot. Could you imagine if Allen only threw to a player if they were already open? He would never throw the ball.
  19. Dak had more passing TDs than Lamar had total TDs, more passing yards than Lamar had total yards, less turnovers, a better completion percentage, a higher passer rating, and a lower sack %. Basically in every measurable way Dak was better than Lamar this season, except his team had 1 more loss.
  20. I think posters on a message board put more thought into this than the TV personalities that vote for it. Looking at that list, does anybody think most of those people put 2 seconds of thought into it? I doubt most could even articulate why they voted a certain way if put on the spot. They probably thought “who is everybody else voting for” and that was that. Voting against the grain could be damaging career-wise. Probably why that guy felt the need to write a short novel explaining why he voted for Allen. Not to mention that 80% of that list is employed by the same 3 companies. So they probably just vote with whoever their employer has been pushing. I don’t care about this award anymore. I thought it was voted on by newspaper sports journalists, not bobblehead TV personalities that serve up hot takes for clicks/views.
  21. I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but the way the entire media just got with the program and all started pumping up Lamar after the 49ers game was really strange. He was a top-5 candidate and jumped to unanimous #1 almost overnight and stayed planted there even with totally mediocre stats and probably the best defense in the NFL. It wasn’t even a particularly impressive game, Lamar’s defense got like 5 interceptions and he did a good job managing the game and getting the W. Just a totally bizarre example of groupthink.
  22. He has some wiggle, and he can actually run away from DBs if he gets a step. He isn’t dragging anybody for an extra yard though, and I wish he would stop dropping touchdowns. I think the o-line did a much better job run blocking last year, which helped him out a lot. I wouldn’t spend assets on a RB.
  23. I think he could be great if there was no salary cap. Our line did a lot better in run blocking than recent past seasons. But we don't have money to like...sign enough defensive lineman to fill a roster, so I doubt it.
