Part of why Elam was able to get drafted so high. Was extraordinarily handsy in college and got away with it.

Pats were 2-2 going into the Buffalo matchup. They will drop some more games that people think they "should" win.

I think Giants win the KC game with Dart. Took a really special all time bad performance by Wilson in that one for the Giants to lose. Their pass rush is probably the best in the entire league. Barkley’s great season last year was always about the offensive line. Any RB could have had a good season with how that line was playing. Barkley was able to take it to the next level for an all time great RB season, because he is uniquely good at burning linebackers and defensive backs once he gets to the second level. A great o-line is required to have a lot of chances like that though.

Why do you want Allen dumping off a covered check down on 3rd and 10? I would rather he take off and try to get it with his legs than do that. What he ended up doing was buying like 8 seconds of time and throwing an accurate pass to a WR past the sticks (who was interfered with, not much you can do there). Part of the problem with these close games we lose (because we only lose close games pretty much) is nitpicking one or two plays at the end of the game. There was an entire game of snaps played, and Allen made a good decision on like 95% of them and only really made a bad decision on one.

I basically disagree with saying Allen had a bad game. I think he had a “good” not “great” game. He had 300 yards, was the team’s leading rusher, had 2 TDs and 1 turnover (I know technically 2, but a failed handoff is on the runner IMO). The running game wasn’t working at all. The all-22 has revealed the play calling and play design was weak and didn’t exploit the Pat’s weaknesses on defense. Also, Allen was doing a good job buying time in the pocket and still nobody was open downfield (not to mention the weird reffing in the first half). Do people really think a different QB put in the same position would have performed better? I highly doubt it. Just do a thought experiment and swap Maye for Allen. So now Maye doesn’t have Diggs having a career day, and is throwing against a good secondary instead of the Bills weak secondary. He would likely do much worse (IMO).

I think some concern is warranted. The offense has looked out of sorts for large portions of every game except the Jets game (and even that game the passing offense wasn’t really clicking). We all know the defense has a lot of issues in all phases, and really lacks talent. If the hope/expectation is to win a Super Bowl this season, there is a lot to work on and it’s possible we don’t have the players to fix the issues. It’s looking like a Super Bowl victory will require Allen to go off and have a little bit of luck.

Game week thread - Bills at Falcons MNF
DapperCam replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sherman didn’t during his march to the sea. -
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the games he’s getting knocked around and taking hard hits are some of his worst games. I agree there’s no evidence of a concussion specifically here. I did say during the game “he’s going to need an ice bath after this one.”

Random talking head says something about the Bills
DapperCam replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
To be fair it’s basically impossible to be fair and consistent if your job is daily sports talk radio where you talk about the entire league (and even multiple sports). If you’re watching these shows it’s because you enjoy thinking about sports, and maybe the speaking style of the radio personality. It isn’t for the facts or consistent opinions. -
Chauncey Gardner-Johnson to the Ravens
DapperCam replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
I guess the Ravens have to try something. -
Pats made adjustments at halftime to bring in extra blockers. Seemed pretty effective.

I will absolutely take whatever the modern equivalent of John Brown is.

No, but I think there could be 8 AFC teams with 10 wins or more, which means one of the 10 win teams is watching from a beach bar in Cancun.

10-7 can get you in, but it might not with tie breakers. 11-6 will get you in for sure. Last season no 9-8 teams got in for the AFC.
