  1. Not a completion, brutal
  2. Chiefs aren’t getting the calls in Jerry World.
  3. Punt god having himself a game
  4. Most obvious pick play ever. Mahomes just got his ankle sat on. That can’t feel good.
  5. Epic fail by the spy there. Just keep him in front of you.
  6. Rooting for this version of the Cowboys to win will just result in heartburn.
  7. I think I would go for it here...one play to end the game and the Lions still need a TD if you don't get it.
  8. I guess, but then your offense needs to score 2 TDs instead of just 1 TD. The tradeoff would be Scenario 1: - Your defense needs to force a punt or turnover - Your offense needs to convert the FG, and have a TD drive Scenario 2: - Your defense needs to prevent a TD and force a FG - Your offense needs to convert the 4th down, score a TD, and then have another TD drive I think scenario 1 is more likely, but it's close (Packers did score 4 consecutive TDs up to that drive).
  9. Stats aren't for losers, but the predictive ability of these models is limited in football. Each play isn't an independent event you can simulate in isolation. Doubt his model accounts for the ability of the offense or defense. Doubt his model accounts for how the respective teams have been playing during the game. Doubt his model accounts for even the success rate of each team on 4th and short situations. It is likely just a statistical model that says given the score and time on the clock here is the probability of winning based on going for it vs kicking the FG/punting. This isn't baseball, it isn't one pitcher vs one batter, and there isn't a sample size of hundreds of thousands of pitches thrown during a regular season.
  10. But even if they score a TD on that drive after going for it on 4th down it is still a 3 point game. So no matter what happens the defense will have to make a stop.
  11. Why should I trust some random statistical model that is probably not even valid from some random twitter person? Taking the points there is the obvious choice.
  12. How does the coach not make it a one score game in the 4th quarter? Just dumb.
  13. This is the wrong decision, take the points
  14. Packers have some nice goal line passing plays. Just a little bit of confusion and there is a guy open. Just need an accurate throw/catch and it's a free TD.
  15. So Palmer, Kinacid and Samuel are probably going to be out. Moore has been released, and Cooks has less than a week to get up to speed. We're going to need Coleman to have removed his head from his rear. Feels like a game with 40 rushing attempts.
  16. Pretty good game so far. I don’t mind defensive low scoring games as long as it’s because the defense is making great plays and not just offensive incompetence.
  17. Feels like the Lions should have a better record with all the talent on their roster. Top 3 RB group, top 5 WR group, top 5 oline, one of the best pass rushers in the league. They are stacked.
  18. For some reason this signing reminds me a lot of Emmanuel Sanders, who was decent in his short stint here.
  19. I agree, I think he will be a college HC next season.
  20. Maybe, but they definitely got way worse in the second half. That’s when most of the sacks happened. Especially the last 3 drives were brutal (Brown sat out the last drive).
  21. Both tackles playing injured would actually provide an explanation of how they were both turnstiles Thursday night. Now what was Edwards excuse?
  22. Our WR have combined for 7 TDs this season. That's gotta be near the bottom of the entire league, right?
  23. Another thing I appreciate about Allen, is that despite his efficiency he doesn’t seem to try to protect his stats. He will throw up a 50/50 ball before he’s ready on a critical down to try to win the game if that’s what the situation calls for. I can’t even count the number of times I’ve seen Lamar Jackson eat a sack rather than take a risk downfield.
  24. Starting boundary receivers at the start of the season: - Keon Coleman - Josh Palmer Starting boundary receivers 2/3 through the season (both street FAs): - Gabe Davis - Brandin Cooks
  25. I really doubt Baltimore goes 5-1. They have 4 division games left and the Packers and Patriots. They have been winning recently, but they look really bad while doing it. I think 3-3 is more likely than 5-1 for them. I also doubt KC goes 5-1. They still have 3 tough games (Texans, Chargers, Broncos) and Dallas can also beat a good team. 4-2 is their ceiling IMO.
