Let's say Hunter ends up as a top 10 WR in the league, and mixes in occasionally in some coverage packages. Is that really worth a 2nd round pick (basically a late first), a 4th round pick and an additional 1st round pick? He basically has to be All-Pro level on a rookie contract to justify that draft capital. Just doesn't seem realistic.

My Bills hot take is that I think Josh Allen will win a Super Bowl, but not with the Bills. I think he’ll win one when he’s like 36 or 37 with the 49ers. I think this, because the Bills are cursed.

He looked really bad on the Rams at the beginning of last season. I wasn't paying attention to how he was doing on the Ravens. I think he did pretty well in the playoff game. He had a pass interference against Keon along the sideline on a deep pass, but I think it was kind of BS.

I agree, players and people in general respect results and ability. I’m much more likely to listen to/respect/revere somebody at work who I think is excellent vs someone who I think is mediocre.

I think the players are part of the problem too. They basically forced Fangio out of town because he was too tough on them, and then he goes to 2 super bowls on elite defense. I know we all complain about McBeane’s insistence on high character Boy Scouts, but this is the result of the opposite side of the spectrum.

I think they want a veteran stable QB as a backup. Maye is a 2nd year player so a vet backup makes sense. The Cowboys don't need that because they have a veteran starter, so a higher ceiling backup makes more sense. Maybe he can turn into a starter in a couple of years that they can recoup draft capital on or move on from Dak.

I do not want Douglas back because I feel like somehow he will end up as CB2. Because this coaching staff can’t help but lean on what is familiar to them. It’s the same reason I didn’t want Hamlin back. He’s a reasonable backup, but I just know he’s going to somehow be the starting free safety the majority of the season. If you could guarantee Douglas would only be depth/backup I would be okay with it.
