Who remembers the “Root for the Playoff” threads on the old BBMB? The poster that would always post them had a South Park character for his avatar I think. I remember following those during the drought until the end of the season when the scenarios become more and more improbable.

Beasley is washed. You could see it last year, where he had zero YAC ability. Coaches need to get over their rookie trust issues and get Shakir in the slot.

Chiefs have a decent o-line. A lot better than ours. They’ve invested a lot of capital into it. We spent that same capital on defense.

I think Allen throws just fine in snow and light wind. It’s probably an advantage against most teams because of his strong arm. Think of Mac against the Bills in the playoffs last year. Team just doesn’t seem sharp and people are nervous that is going to lead to a loss in the playoffs. We’re winning, but playing below our (perceived by Bills fans) talent level. The offense was super aggressive, but that started leading to turnovers. Now we play much more conservatively which has been winning games. Will the same more conservative approach win in the playoffs?

If he keeps the #1 seed in the AFC and finishes strong he’ll be right there. Hurts will still probably get it because voters love the TD/turnover efficiency story over volume stats and Hurts will have that. Hurts could also have a few sloppy games with a couple turnovers which would make it closer, you just never know. Patty Mahomes threw 3 picks today, nobody would have predicted that.
