  1. And suddenly the Niners defense looks clueless.
  2. Oh nice. Would have looked stupid had it not paid off!
  3. McCaffrey needs to turn up. Niners won't win without a run game.
  4. Williams cost them badly on that drive.
  5. Sadly I'm expecting an easy win for the Chiefs. Hope I'm wrong.
  6. I can understand Josh not getting it. The turnover record was too much despite the amount in the positive column. But Jackson did little more than his job this season. The Ravens defense carried them as much if not more. Him getting MVP over the likes of McCaffrey and Hill is ridiculous. Heck, if it had to go to a QB, Mahomes deserved it more than him.
  7. The same could be said of the Ravens.
  8. Huntley ran the Ravens offense at the end of last year and was a fumble away from winning the wild card game.
  9. I can't see someone who didn't even get voted into the Pro-Bowl being given MVP. But then I didn't expect him to be nominated in the first place so who knows. Agree with those who are backing McCaffrey and (as much as I dislike him as a person) Hill. Lamar winning it would be a joke.
  10. Might be a very polite way of telling them to where to stick it! Akin to washing his hair.
  11. If Josh was a first choice for the Pro-Bowl I’d agree. But as an alternate? I don’t blame him for telling them where to shove it.
  12. Mahomes Josh Burrow Stroud Jackson Love Stafford Goff Cousins Purdy/Prescott/Herbert - perhaps just Herbert but tough to choose between those three
  13. Though a big play when against the Lions - when Purdy's throw fell through the Vildor's hands, bounced off his helmet and Aiyuk was able to dive on it. Make that play 100 times over, and 99 times it would have been intercepted or fell incomplete and left the 49ers in a difficult situation.
  14. Maybe two of three, as I'm not sure the Pats had a great GM whilst Belichick was there...
  15. The one thing I would say - and apologies if it's been said already - wasn't the whole point of the cap to reduce the likelihood of dynasties? Hasn't really worked, to be honest.
  16. Heartbreaking to hear this. My condolences, and hope the memories and support of those closest to you in real life as well as on here will help you through these dark times.
  17. I don't get why they don't put Brady on a lower team and allow him to grow into the role, rather than throw him into the A Team straight away.
  18. There's an obsession with giving it to a QB. I don't think any QB has been good enough to be in the MVP conversation this year. Even the top two - Mahomes and Josh - have had their struggles. Even now, can't see beyond McCaffrey but highly doubt he gets it.
  19. I don't think Josh was any better, or 'misbehaved' less, under Daboll compared to Brady? He actually had some really poor games - the run in 2021 where he threw seven interceptions in four games, which included the 9-6 loss to the Jags and the Colts blow out, for example. Then, near the end of that season, he threw three interceptions against the Falcons. Luckily his legs saved him, and the Bills, then. Everyone forgets how up and down 2021 was for Josh because of how it ended, but it was not great all the time by a long stretch.
  20. We'll see what happens. Whilst an improvement on Dorsey, I think there were too many wrinkles on the offense under Brady, especially in the passing game. On the positive side, Josh seemed more relaxed. Do I wish we'd gone for someone with more experience and offered Brady the QB coach role once again or to take on an OC role elsewhere? At this moment in time, yes.
