And there's the first flag against the Eagles. Let's get used to it. -

It's taking a bit of getting used to for me. -

Is it permanent or just for the Super Bowl? -
The way so much the NFL seems to be "massaged" I wouldn't be completely surprised if the MVP vote was steered based on the outcome of the Ravens-Bills play off game. "If the Ravens win give my five points to Lamar, if the Bills win then give them to Josh." The wait is ludicrous. There doesn't seem to be a reason why the MVP can't be revealed before the wildcard round.
-
I think the argument that Lamar put his team in a hole in a valid one. It's a credit that he regrouped and brought in back but he choked in the first half more than any other QB into he play offs this year other than Jared Goff. And it cost the Ravens. The Chiefs and Ravens are the strongest defenses in the NFL, with great DCs. I think any QB would find it tough to walk the field against the clock. As for the Bills... we've seen historically it's not so difficult.

20 years from now? As in, Josh playing until he's 48?
-
Again, I disagree. He was great on Sunday. He was not Superman. He was Superman in the 13 second game, but the Bills cannot expect him to be Superman just to win the game. Others have to take responsibility.
-
Yes, folded or choked is too much. He did neither. But he did come out tight, as you say - it only lasted consistently through the first drive, but did have an impact on the game. This is another issue where we're saying the same thing before, as I'm sure a sports therapist has been mentioned previously when it comes to Josh. Though that throw at the end... if Kincaid had caught that, as he should have done, it would have been one for the ages.
-
I think that's melodramatic. Especially as this fan base cannot wait to jump on his back if he lowers his in-game play from Superman. If the Bills go through the same cycle over the next two to three years with the same result, then I think fans will be sympathetic with him if he pushes to move elsewhere.

I think, whilst Josh continues making explosive plays, people will continue watching the Bills. And, as said, if it involves the Chiefs there will be a degree of hate watching.

Hard to beat the Chiefs and the refs every post-season

It'd be ironic if they did start using chips in balls after this - another rule change after the Bills lose to the Chiefs in the post season. -
Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
UKBillFan replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd rephrase that. I think Josh was great on Sunday. But he wasn't Superman, which he sometimes can be. And yet again the Bills needed him to be Superman because of what they have built around him. In fairness, would we be saying he was if Kincaid had made that catch? -

If Mahomes was facing the Chiefs defense I’m not sure if he would have managed it as a Bills player. He would have made the play - just like Josh did - but someone else would have mucked up. -

It definitely wasn't the only reason - but it played a key part. -
Shame they didn't turn up like every other defense against the Chiefs this season. All but one kept them to a score in regulation which would have seen the Bills win with 29 on Sunday. And that one was the Panthers. I understand what you're saying about situation football but I'm not going to accept the defense was good enough throughout the game. It wasn't and it cost us.

Lost in the sauce: Outstanding Performances vs KC
UKBillFan replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's what I was thinking. Are we taking at risk of taking him for granted as he was clearly the Bills best player on the night?
