I don't understand them choosing a QB to be honest, not with next year's draft having more strength and depth. I think they would have given Levis one more try and, if he fails, they'll be in a good position to go for Manning etc. in 2026.
I'd argue it's only set because Josh played out of his skin, partially coupled up with Cook's breakthrough. There's not a single WR on the roster who is a stand out, grade A, receiver. Shakir may get there but he's still young.
As you say, my only concern, with the focus on defense, is it feels like they're expecting Josh to do it all again. He's class - to put it mildly - but he could do with some more help, particularly in the WR room.
