If Josh and maybe Cook don't make splash plays then the offense stalls. It's only because they've been so good all year that the offense routinely scores so many points. 29 should have been enough tonight. But I agree with you on 'hard work'.
-
How many points did you expect the Bills to put up today? Honestly? At the start of the game, how many points did you expect the offense to put up against the Chiefs defense? A defense that had - I'm ignoring week 18 - only let a team score more than 27 on them once this year? And that was away from Arrowhead.

If I see this one more time... THE O PUT UP 29 POINTS. IT WAS THE MOST THE CHIEFS GAVE UP ALL SEASON AT ARROWHEAD. IT WAS ONLY ONE POINT LESS THAN THE BILLS MANAGED AT OP IN WEEK 11. Yes, the Offense had issues. But you go away and put up 29 points against a team that hasn't scored over 30 all season? It should be a win. FFS the Texans kept them to 23 last week.

Being pedantic - and it may have already been said - but didn't the Bills commit two turnovers tonight? Both on downs.

It was a good game. Was it a Superman game? No. Was it an out of this world game? No. But it was good. It should have been good enough.

I understand what you're saying and agree with continually returning to the sneaky/tush push was utterly stupid. They let the officials make a decision rather than take it out of their hands by clearly getting a first. A lack of Cook was also confusing, and hope McDermott/Brady are asked about it. Getting to 29 down to unreal play from Josh, Cook and Hollins was a great achievement though. And that should have been enough. Please no. You'd only win again. Congratulations, though. As much as it hurts.

The defense looked just as bad with Benford out there. The offense scored 29 on a team who, ignoring week 18, has only let one team (the Bills) score 30 on them all season. Yes, the play calling on the two points conversions were awful, as we're the tush pushes. It was basically down to Josh, Cook and Collins it was that close. But 29 on the road should be enough to win.

It's as though people just thought the Bills could show up and put 40+ on the Chiefs. Offenses win games, defenses win championships. Considering who they were up against, the offense did fine overall. Did they have a few miscues? Yes. So did the Chiefs. But 29 should be enough to win a game. Especially against a team that hadn't scored over 30 all season. I do have an issue with how hard the Bills have to work for points compared to other top teams, and it feels like it's down to Josh and Cook to get them over the line again and again. That has to change next year. There's too much expectation on too few people. Again.

They lost by three on the road at the Super Bowl Champions. Come on, I'm hurting, but try some perspective. And as for the bull you're pulling on Josh - that was probably his worst game against the Chiefs in the play offs. He's normally in superman mode. Have to wonder what happened today, but to say he isn't ready for this? Again, try some perspective.

Yes, I blame - or at least partially blame - Josh for some of the earlier throws but that one... he had no time whatsoever. Pass protection just fell apart and he couldn't think. What he did do was miraculous and if Kincaid had come up with it, like any decent NFL reciever, then we'd be wacing lyrical about it.
