  1. Sometimes I think they should publish possession time for when the game is actually in doubt.
  2. Heard today on NFLNetwork radio that players can wear guardian caps in game. Where is Mark Kelso when you need him.
  3. Narrative: The NY jets and Miami Dolphins have more talent than the Bills and will be better football teams in 2024, causing the Bills not to win the East and maybe not make the playoffs. Tua is now out for the foreseeable future. Rodgers looks a shadow of his former self. It is pretty clear so far this season, that the AFC East still runs through Orchard Park.
  4. The Jags do seem to occupy some Josh headspace. Maybe it’s their Josh Allen raises his game against our Josh Allen? We are actually 9-10 against Jax all-time with 2 straight losses. However, last season was that BS London game. My guess is that game doesn’t sit well with McD or the Bills players. Monday night at home with 11 days to prepare should help.
  5. You can see the players confidence and trust in the coaching and systems grow with each half of football. Can’t wait until game 6-7 when the players are fully bought in and the coaches have a better understanding of what each guy can and cannot do. Brady’s ability to change the offense from week 1 to short week 2 was impressive. In week 1, 12 personnel was run most of the game. Last night, it was mostly 11 personnel and they still ran the ball often and well. They also set out to feature Shakir and Kincaid. My guess is Brady will have another new wrinkle for Jacksonville. By the time we get to week 6, DCs’ will literally have no idea what the Bills tendencies are, because there aren’t any. We can run down your throat, go heavy, go 5 wide, feature a running Josh or feature throwing Josh. We have the personnel to run just about anything and the key is the Oline that keeps Josh clean and opens holes for Cook and Co. It’s just fun to watch.
  6. I trust McD and Babich to play the right guys when they are ready. Nice to see Bishop get in the game. Hopefully Edwards gets up to speed as well. With Lewis and Ingram getting great in game experience, Hamlin playing solidly if unspectacularly, and the injured guys returning to health, the areas of concern, CB depth and the entire safety group, seemed to be falling by the wayside and the defensive backfield is becoming a strength of this defense.
  7. Because Buffalo.
  8. Sports media personality Skip Bayless wrote on X that the Fish have more talent, but the Bills are better coached and have Josh Allen. I’m sick of that narrative. True the Bills are better coached and have Josh, but the Fish don’t have more talent. They have more media recognized talent in Tua, Hill, Ramsey & Waddle. However after those four and the 2 RBs (Achane is excellent), the Bills have much better players across the organization. The Bills lines are far superior and last I looked most NFL games are won in the trenches. The Bills secondary is also better. Ramsey is a brand, but Douglas and Benford have been incredible since paired last season. All in all, if I could take a few players off the Fish, the only 2 I’d take are Waddle and Achane. Hill and Ramsey are great but complete distractions we don’t need.
  9. I guess we got more from former Dolphin Mike White running our scout team then the Fish got from Poyer and Neal knowing our playbook inside and out. Great job by the Bills coaches and players tonight. What a pleasure that was to watch. Anyone still want to get rid of Babich and Brady? Didn't think so.
  10. The mini-bye also couldn't come at a better time for the Bills. The Bills have 11 days to get everyone up to speed on defense, especially the linebackers (I'm assuming Bernard is out for a few weeks), and give the coaching staff time to figure out who is best suited to take Bernard's place and how best to scheme to utilize the new starters best skills. If one of our opponents take something positive that they can try against the Bills it maybe our run defense. Unfortunately for most teams they don't have a speedster like Achane. The bad news for our opponents is that pass rush looks as good as I've seen it in years. A great pass rush coupled with excellent corner play from DB play makes the Bills extremely hard to throw against.
  11. Buffalo Bills Stomping on some roaches
  12. Anybody still want to trade Cook for a 2nd day pick? Didn't think so.
  13. I know Achane had a good night, but considering everything, was there a single player on the Bills D that didn't play well? Offense: Cook and Shakir. Defense: Everyone with additional gold stars to Groot, Oliver, Von Miller, Benford and Ingram. Dunce Cap to Tua. Why the he// are you launching your self head first into a defender with the game out of reach. I hate to see anyone injured, but that had to be one of the stupidest plays I've ever seen. Dunce Cap 2. Jordan Poyer. Poyer you are a Bills all-time great, but your cheap shot on Shakir was completely uncalled for and the Bills and the game plan exposed you as the over the hill veteran you are.
  14. I don't if this was already posted but..... https://www.buffalobills.com/video/postgame-victory-speech-following-buffalo-bills-31-10-win-over-miami
  15. A defense without Milano, that then lost T Johnson and now Bernard has given up 13 points in the last 6 quarters of football. To all those who say there are no elite players on the Bills, Benford, Douglas, Groot and Oliver would like to have a word with you.
  16. What are all the talking heads going to say now?
  17. I can only imagine. I used to work on the 56th floor of Tower 1 and my brother was working in the WFC next door and had just come through the WTC subway before the first plan hit. He was one of the thousands that crossed the bridge into Brooklyn following the attacks.
  18. It's why I posted a quote about his 9/11 work.
  19. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5756568/2024/09/11/jason-whittle-giants-911-patrick-swayze/ Talks about his work on 9/11 and that he is not Patrick Swayze's son (apparently there is another Jason Whittle who claims to be Swayze's son).
  20. Maybe that’s why we got rid of all the old guys and have Babich running the D. (Yes, this is tongue in cheek).
  21. That’s more than Likely.
  22. Thanks for bringing up the Eagles. Let’s compare the stat lines of the two wideout groups. Philly 12/18 203 yards 1 TD Buff 12/14 152 yards 2 TDs Those are the stats for both teams’ receiver groups. Philly only had 2 receivers catch balls, Buffalo had 5. Which offense is more vulnerable to have a player taken away and becoming less effective because of it? Brown and Smith are exciting players, but which group had a bigger impact? The Bills group was extremely more efficient, more diverse and had more TDs. I’ll take the 2nd stat line.
  23. @GunnerBill Volume? That isn’t up to the receivers. That’s up to the OC and QB. This was a low volume game because that is the offense we are running. It will probably be a low volume season. Brady’s goal this season is to control the game. That means for running, more West Coast type passing, and probably less offensive plays run.
