  1. I dunno, feel like he did alright $$ wise in his stints in LA and KC. He got to play in great offenses, was instrumental in key situations, got paid a boatload of money and has a super bowl ring. I really doubt he’s salty about how things went down. Wouldn’t be surprised if McD told him “you’ll thank me later” when trading him and him being completely right about it.
  2. In before the 3 pages of “git-r-done Beane” posts. would love him on the team, but don’t think we have the $$ and we have more glaring needs elsewhere.
  3. I’d rather look at teams like NE, Ravens and the Chiefs that have always had a good emphasis on special teams as teams you want to model yourself against. Good ST helps you win games. Bad ST can definitely lose you some games, see the Chargers as a terrific example of that.
  4. I did not see this coming but I honestly don’t hate it at all.
  5. Logical move. He’s a damn good gunner.
  6. What the Pats are doing feels like weird Jete/previous FO Bills type moves where they sign biggish name FA to big deals in the hope of being competitive and putting butts in seats to sell tickets. Invariably it doesn't work and the team sucks, but doesn't suck enough to really draft a franchise changing player. Being on the other side of this feels genuinely strange and exciting all at the same time.
  7. They still have Yodny Cajuste on the roster on a rookie deal who can play RT. Between Thuney, Brown etc that’s a lot of money to tie up in the line when you have so many holes on the offense elsewhere. Cannon was just the odd man out on an expensive deal.
  8. With NE trading for Brown that basically made Cannon expendable.
  9. This feels like a win-win, Milano's cap hit this year is ~$7m which is very good imo. Milano also gets a decent long term contract with the team that drafted him and developed him. He's in a good situation in Buffalo and he knows it, that's big brain energy.
  10. He’s been an absolute steal in the 7th round but he’s still really raw. He makes plays, but his aggressive nature gets him in trouble. Watch the all-22 where he’s been active and seen a lot of time on the field. For every huge play he makes he gets toasted 2-3 times. If he can temper his fire and play better within the scheme he will be a VERY good DB, but he needs to learn when to be aggressive and when to play within the scheme of the defense. Taron Johnson had similar problems in and he’s really cleaned up his game.
  11. Yeah Beasley's is weird. Is the N/A what they use for vet rest days? Maybe he wasn't on the report because he wasn't at practice, but figure that would get a DNP instead of a '---'
  12. That's weird, Bills site lists Diggs as DNP... https://www.buffalobills.com/team/injury-report/
  13. unless something goes down Lee Smith is back next year. He’s not that expensive and does his job extremely well. He’s also good for at least 1-2 hilariously open TDs because no one thinks to cover him.
  14. Agree, they've got an axe to grind with KC. That team handed Bills a demoralizing loss where the offense left points on the field and the defense couldn't get off the field on 3rd down. Bills are coming off two wins, won in different ways and showed the team that it is not just all on Allen, or the offense, or the defense. Allen carried the team against the Colts, the defense showed up against the Ravens. In both games the team willed itself to find a way to win. It feels like the Bills are gritty and battle tested from these last two games. I think they'll be ready.
  15. I think by this boards standards 99.9% of the Bills fan base could be considered “casual” 😂
  16. I am legitimately confused as to how you’re constructed anatomically that turning your head too much in one direction causes you to lose consciousness.
  17. I want a trophy, but would hate to pay the price the Eagles did to get it.
  18. That’s brutal for the browns. Sorensen spearing Higgins with his helmet should have been called.
  19. That’s the second short pass to his left that he’s dirted. Looks like he can’t put pressure on that toe.
  20. Unless Mahomes does something completely bonkers this game the MVP award is Rodgers to lose. He put on a clinic yesterday. Obviously Allen is my MVP because I’m a shameless homer, but let’s be honest.
  21. Maybe anecdotal but felt like Humphrey was on Davis most of the game and that’s a tough matchup. He’s an absolute beast of a CB. Beasley was indeed a non factor. Would have to rewatch the game and all-22 to see who was on him.
  22. Always appreciate these write ups Virgil. The pick 6 has “NFL Turning Point of the week” written all over it. It has to be something that’s trained and drilled big time by the defense. As soon as TJ picked off the pass the entire defense in unison just “engaged countermeasures” Zimmer is fast AF for an interior DL. Plays pretty light too, at least he looks that way. Bills DL seems to prioritize speed/hustle over size.
  23. Agree, at this point McDermott has earned the benefit of the doubt. He’s been sharp AF on most of his head coaching decisions this year.
