  1. Awesome - love the two way support the teams and community have. Brings a bit of joy in this dark time.
  2. I'd say more than anything its weather. Yards are down when he plays at home. That's likely due to the wind causing more run heavy offenses. Singletary had 160 more attempts last year at home compared to on the road. Look at Josh's running splits - averages the same yards per rush. Completion % is down due to playbook and needing to throw less. 318 attempts in 8 games on the road vs. 254 at home (in same # of games). Yards per attempt down .6 as well. Go figure, its challenging to throw in Buffalo - but we have a QB who can still be good when doing so, and can run whenever he needs.
  3. Thats giving me a red delicious and a granny smith and telling me they taste the same. 1) If I have had several years of my team "under-performing" even if Ive been at level or average at my job, I can EXPECT they bring someone in to challenge me. 2) Tanny is 33. Most starting QBs are done by what... 35? So if I'm 60 planning to retire at 65 you bet I'm expected to train someone/take them under my wing 3) Companies bring interns and entry level hires all the time to fill roles with the expectation of growth. So if you want to compare it to the corporate world... again training is an expectation. 4) No one is asking Tanny to give up reps with the first team and saying "no coach, let Malik take these snaps because he is the future". But are they wanting him to help Willis in the film room, or maybe with some of the transitional aspects from college to the NFL? Absolutely. Just like I would coach a new hire about our company specific policies or maybe point them in the right direction when a small project or ask is put in front of them for the first time. 5) "We're paying this guy a fraction of what you make" You are ***** right they are - because I've been around the block and Ive earned more pay. Tanny makes starter money because he is the starter. He doesnt make elite money because he ISNT ELITE. If the expectation is that Tanny want to secure a role where there are no questions about the short term starting role, be better. But, at 33, he should be looking to take the next natural step - platoon starter who will train the new talent and he can make 15-20 million a year for another 5-7 years. I could go on but you get the point
  4. This team absolutely needs some outside depth. Carrying 6 WRs with Diggs, Davis, Crowder, Mck, outside rookie, Kumerow would be at least decent. I wonder if they try to target a 3rd/4th year guy in a trade. Someone who was a decent draft pick but hasn’t shown quite enough for their original team
  5. The ability to line up two back two te and have 5 decent route runners is a pain to defend against. Motion cook in and out of the backfield and he will eat
  6. Drafting talent and developing talent are two different things. Johnson fell and some teams had a dont draft or 2nd round grade on him. Does Wilson become Justin Jefferson or Jalen Reagor? Now its on the coaches to properly develop these players, and the team still has a plethora of holes. Jets had I believe a strong first round - they are still 2-3 years away from even competing for the playoffs.
  7. We certainly need another skill player. I remember when everyone wanted the Bills to take Metcalf early, and we waited and came away with Gabe Davis. I trust Beane to find a mid round WR who plays meaningful minutes for us this season
  8. Elam is a better press zone corner than man. He is going to learn a ton from McD. Tre is one of the best tackling corners in the league. Elam has character, measurables, AND on field performance.
  9. Beane hasn’t been afraid to say things like that to prove his point. Beane don’t mess around - they wanted Elam and made the deal to get him. He is making that clear to the media and fans
  10. I’d appreciate him just like I do Lamar - guy can make incredible plays and will his team to victory. I have to respect that trait. I’m sure I’d look at his demeanor and come to terms that he is a genuine guy. so as long as he wasn’t a patriot dolphin or Jet, I’d be fond of him and jealous we didn’t have him
  11. Have him play the Beasley and McKenzie hybrid role. Jet sweeps, screens, option slot routes… i think he would be a great weapon on this team. Just don’t think it’ll happen
  12. Physical runner, tough as nails. Gadget guy who can elevate an offense by making teams gameplan against him specifically. Imagine the jet sweeps with Deebo…. Not going to happen, but he is a good player
  13. 13.5 sacks in 19 games last season - 4 in 4 in the playoffs. Dude is still a stud
  14. I’m way to excited to have Von Miller and Ed Oliver attacking the QB next year while we have proper DTs setting the line
  15. Can block and catch, was stuck behind Cameron Brate and Gronk. Needed a change of scenery, love his size and athleticism
  16. “Miller wanting to play with Josh Allen” im wet
  17. Money is money - dude is skilled and instantly makes our team better. bring in difference makers - this is great for the team
  18. Because he has added his personal feelings into an article that could mean something if it was substantive. he takes one quote, adds his own thoughts into it, writes like he was personally wronged by McDermott, and calls it a day. if he did real reporting, and took the single individuals quote and used it to ask more questions and dive deeper in, I could at least respect his effort. this feels like a one of those Instagram accounts with 200 followers that posts a bunch of hot takes as insider rumors to generate clicks
  19. I saw one quote from a player. And usually without context these quotes are made out to be way more than they really are. One player asking about practicing accountability is not “some players think he is full of *****”
  20. I read the article from Dunne - it screams of little child syndrome more than anything. McD took accountability for the choke job in the playoffs several times both immediately after and weeks after the game. What more accountability does someone realistically expect? Do we want him to go second by second pointing fingers at everyone/anyone who may have played a part in the breakdown? Let's live in reality here. When you write lines like "You can't clap your way through this loss" I dont really know how you can be taken seriously. It's fandom writing and not journalism.
  21. I had a call this morning with two senior leadership members practically yelling at each other about strategy direction and implementation. After the call, I connected with one of the leaders, and when we talked about the conversation the response was "That's the honest discussion we need to have more often". Friction drives honesty and honesty can either make or break a team. I think Sean has shown to be very open to changing and taking others opinions to make himself better. I wont worry about this until the on field product suffers drastically
  22. Wonder if David Bell drops due to his 4.6 40. Guy catches everything and has plenty of speed when he is not coming out of sprinter stance. If he slips to the 3rd I’d love to grab him
  23. It's funny, during the regular season everyone says it's a week to week league and teams that lose can still be better than teams that win. But when we get to the playoffs, there is this idea that the BEST two teams make it to the Super Bowl each year. While that may be the case MOST years, I dont believe the best teams make or even win. It's honestly the beauty and the curse of the playoffs. Bills play the Chiefs for 5 games, maybe they win 3. Bills play the Bengals for 5 - maybe they win all 5. But since its a one and done, single poorly executed moments cause a team to go from "Favorites to win the Super Bowl" to "Not a top two team in the league". I dont mind Simmons saying the Bills were the best team in the NFL - when they are at their best. Bengals had some luck go their way, and they executed when it mattered during the divisional and conference games. Does that make them the best team in the AFC? To me there is room for debate.
  24. Similar to the fears Bills fans had about the team coming out flat after the Patriots game. Dont get too high or too low. I think was really happened was the Bengals adjusting their D and Mahomes went back to forcing plays over and over again. And they abandoned their screen game that has worked so well towards the end of the year.
  25. @GunnerBill what are your thoughts on David Bell out of Purdue. Not the sexy first rounder WR that people may want, but he just seems to be so productive, and I think he beats man coverage better than most in the class. Decent size (6'2) and should run around a 4.48/4.52 at the combine - so not terribly slow. I would love him as a 2nd rounder if we go another route in the 1st, but always appreciate your take on players.
