  1. I think this is entertaining on several levels. Fun to watch the chargers screw up yet again. Also fun to watch Bosa potentially screw himself. I think he is very over rated and has, if not outright bust, at least over draft written all over him. If another team was willing to offer a decent first for him, I think he would already be traded. This will end badly for both parties eventually.
  2. Yes, Bruce liked to take it easy during the preseason, but come opening day, and every day thereafter, he was ready to bring it. ( once he matured after his first year or two) Mario likes to turn it up when he feels like it. He is not nearly the player Bruce was and never will be. They should not be mentioned in the same sentence.
  3. I suspect that if Belicheat thought the guy was any good and was an important part of the team, he could punch Belicheats mother in the face without repercussions. He is likely being cut because he sucks. No thanks.
  4. In fact they often lose games for you. That is why they are backups. Look at the list around the league and you will not find many worth having. Nassib is one I would not want, and so is the dufus they played last week, Tolzien. How about Geno Smith? Think he will lose a few games for you? Pretty good bet based on history.
  5. But will it require fresh panties?
  6. Yeah, I am not sure how that opinion equates to being a "Buffalo Bills apologist" but Carucci has apparently now adopted the personality of a message board troll rather than a real reporter. Too bad - he was an actual journalist at one time.
  7. I read elsewhere on this board that the Bills will go 0/6, so I guess we lose this game, although I cannot think of a reason why we should.
  8. I agree. TT's contract is a smart deal for the Bills on its own. If, however, Jones does develop over the next two years, it certainly puts them in a great position. That kid has got tools no doubt. Great arm, poise, big and fast. He seems to be smart and motivated. He just needs to learn how to play QB at this level. I am feeling good about the "project", but that is what he is.
  9. Yes, but that is unusual, and largely related to Byrd being a selfish POS. Gilmore may take the same approach, but it is not the norm.
  10. This is perhaps the least surprising reaction of the day. Cowherd and Whitlock - Dumb and Dumber.
  11. except: 1. He was far from the 2014 Mario that last year, more of a negative than a positive. 2. Once they committed big dollars to Hughes and Dareus last year, Mario's exit from the team was predestined. I am only concerned about the 2015 Mario, and that Mario is easily replaced. Even without Shaq, who I would rather have, the Bills would be hard pressed not to get better performance at that position from some combination of Manny, IK, and Striker. It is virtually guaranteed. He was that bad.
  12. Could not agree more. The Bills have pretty favorable schedule early. I could see 6/2 or 7/1.
  13. To close the thread in its initial purpose: Unfortunately, Edelman's injury appears to be minor.
  14. Sorry, I know you asked Astro, but ... I think it's Powell vs. Salas and the decision will come down to whether they believe Bush can contribute more at running back than Powell can at WR. I think Salas is the more useful receiver and I would rather see them keep him over Powell, but it is a toss up at this point.
  15. I have no medical knowledge on the subject, but I suspect you are exactly right here. They are going to take their time and try to make the right call for the young man's career. As much as we would all like to have him this year, including the Bills management and coaches, a mistake here could cost him another year or worse. A week more or less in the decision process is not going to make any difference.
  16. I am glad Goodwin is performing well - it would be a big boost to the offense - but I refuse to get excited about it given his injury history. If he survives camp, I will be a bit more upbeat on Goodwin. Very positive report on Brown. With Ragland out, we really need him to be at his best.
  17. Then clearly Alzheimer's has got hold of you because you are behaving like an infant.
  18. Even if this is not a devastining injury, it is logical to assume they will be without him for at least a couple of weeks. With Reddick going down for the long term, they need a camp body at least. I would not read too much into that comment.
  19. Has anyone been able to help Astro score a ticket for tonight? It would be a bummer if he was not able to be there.
  20. You are right - hardly a paragon of positive thought. As for Florio, as the saying goes, even a stopped clock is right twice a day, so I guess it's possible his opinion is accurate.
  21. I long ago stopped paying attention to Joe B's training camp blow by blow QB evaluations. I seriously do not think he understands what he is looking at.
  22. I am not sure Wilder has any PS eligibility left. He seems to think not based on his comments. He has two full years there already. If so, I agree he is a good candidate. I agree that JW makes the roster before Gilislee.
