  3. At the same time an absolutely wonderful and heartbreaking story. Aaron Maybin making a difference to those kids and how do we allow kids to not have heat in their schools, and so nice to see the outpouring of support from the community(not the government) to make the situation better. Kudos to you Aaron Maybin!
  4. Thanks for the endorsement. I'm also a Genesis afficianado and never got to see them with Gabriel or Hackett. Musical box plays Philly yearly and was never really inspired to see them. This sways my thinking
  5. Just watched it last night/this morning. What an incredible 'movie'. I always thought Tim Blake Nelson was one of the more underappreciated Coen Brothers actors, he was incredible. I thought each little vignette was mesmorizing and holy crap, the cinematography was mind blowing. Still trying to make sense of the last part, thought I had it figured out but then i didn't. The performances by the entire cast was outstanding. I can't stop with the superlatives.
  6. I have been kicking myself for not going to the Outlaw Road Show this year with Willie Nelson and Van Morrison. I was just kind of festivaled out.....completely went against one of my mantras, "don't miss out on things you want to do, there's always time to catch up on rest and make more money"
  7. Love John K, I know the appeal of having John Mayer fill in on guitar seems better on paper, but always wish they brought him in on Dead & Co. I just saw that John K, Oteil and Melvin Seals are going to do a holiday jam. And Philly 89, might be my single favorite Dead moment with Blow Away. Brent was absolutely on fire that day
  8. Saw Futhur at the Mann in Philly....was pissed because the city shut down shakedown, kind of ruined the vibe JT was one of my first shows, Manley Field House at Syracuse University, still ranks as one of my all time faves Joe Jackson played SUNY Fredonia when I was there, he was kind of a prick on stage, but no questioning his amazing talent Wish I'd seen the Dead earlier, but '88 wasn't the worst time to get on the bus :-)
  9. I was going to reply "anything at Red Rocks" but that wouldn't be true, but Red Rocks is definitely a bucket list venue for me
  10. I liked those commercials, they always made me laugh
  11. I know it's not the same and i also know they don't come down under to you, but Dead & Company is doing a very good job, each tour gets stronger
  12. Yup, i normally plan on 4.5-5 hours, i figured the morning drive down would be fairly good, i didn't expect the return trip (4:45 PM) to be even quicker

  15. That Dolph Lundgren is an interesting dude...several degrees, really smart. I was kind of amazed by his back story https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolph_Lundgren
  16. If i were to ever run for political office, my first 2 orders of business would be to mandate, if a female is not married or engaged, she is FORBIDDEN from wearing a ring on the ring finger and the opposite is true for those married or engaged. Second would be death penalty for people in the left lane not passing, and if they are passing not doing it fast enough. I drove from my place outside of Philly to Richmond and back yesterday(Sunday 11/18) via 95 the entire way....both trips were under 4 hours. I have never done it that quickly before. I was amazed
  17. Boumtje Boumbtje
  18. i can't believe they spelled Buddy Boeheim's name wrong on his uniform. It was "Boheim"
  19. I'm not a gamer but my boys have this game and i have been watching them play. It's pretty cool, almost to the point of me wanting to give it a try
